Two 16-year-old boys were charged at the Magistrate's Court in Kuala Pilah on Thursday (Oct 8) with murdering a Form Two male student at a secondary school hostel last month.

No plea was recorded from either accused as the case falls under the jurisdiction of the High Court.

00:01A pair of Form 4 boys of a sports school in Kuala Pilah
00:05were charged at the magistrate's court on Thursday
00:08with the murder of their Form 2 schoolmate.
00:11No plea was recorded from the duo
00:13when they were charged before Judge Roslinda Razali
00:16as the matter came under the jurisdiction of the High Court.
00:20They were accused of murdering the 14-year-old victim
00:23at the school hostel between 7.30pm and 8.50pm on September 25.
00:30Both were charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code
00:33read together with Section 34 of the same law.
00:37The proceedings were held in camera as both accused were juveniles.
00:42Lawyer Datuk Hanif Hassan, who represented both teens,
00:46when met later, said the court fixed December 7
00:49for the next mention pending the pathology, chemical and forensic reports.
00:53He said the defence had also applied to the court
00:56to send both accused to a correctional centre for the time being
01:00to allow the Welfare Department to provide them with counselling.
01:04He added that it will also assist them both mentally and emotionally
