00:00Tell us why we're here today, mate.
00:02We've been here for about 10 minutes, and for most of that time, these gates have been down.
00:07They've been down twice in that time.
00:17These are the Adamstown gates we're at.
00:19Residents who live on one side and work on the other side are constantly finding out the impacts of delays.
00:25There is a solution.
00:26The state government's about to consider the Central Coast and Lower Hunter plan.
00:31That plan is an opportunity to make a commitment to delivering the Lower Hunter freight corridor,
00:36which will take freight trains off of the Adamstown gates,
00:39which will not only unlock new housing in areas in Newcastle suburbs,
00:45but will also take pressure off the Adamstown gates for people who are trying to.
00:57And what's the council doing?
00:58Council tonight is going to consider whether we make a statement to the state government
01:03about what should be in the Central Coast and Lower Hunter plan.
01:07We know what our priorities are.
01:09It's time for us to let the state government know what they are too.
01:13We know what they're good, but we know where we are.
01:20We will do this.
01:20We know lunch about the American people.
01:22He will give us an offer for you guys out there.
01:22Here it's time for you.
01:23This is not a top 10-pical plan.
