00:00But right now, it's T-Mill, it's Clint, it's Ron, the drive is live.
00:03It is live.
00:04I don't mean to be mean.
00:04I just don't think Ben has a damn thing to do with what Nico Collins does out there.
00:09I apologize.
00:10Oh, no, look, that's fine.
00:12I mean, we can say, well, I mean, that's fine.
00:14I'm just saying 30 points, 30 points and a lead with a buck 40 left.
00:18I don't know if that's the game, that's the time to give the.
00:20Yeah, Nick Haley did it.
00:21Yeah, they're not front and center.
00:22But I do.
00:24I'm a, this is a sneak peek to tomorrow.
00:27Because I know tomorrow's a little tape drop Tuesday.
00:31I would like to have a conversation on, was Sunday, was that Nick Haley or was that C.J. and
00:40Nico Collins?
00:41Like, I want to see what you see from the film and tell me how much you think, hmm,
00:49when Nick Haley was orchestrating this thing or now he got them two jokers out there making plays.
00:54I mean, obviously other plays were made, but, but that's for, that's for tomorrow.
00:587, 1, 3, 5, 7, 2, 4, 6, 10.
01:00We got a quick show.
01:01We got three hours today as the coaches show with D'Amico Ryans follows us at five o'clock.
01:07So we'll be out of here at five.
01:09So stay tuned with us to make sure you, you catch the head coach as he spoke earlier on in
01:17the loop.
01:17He will, he will speak again.
01:19Those of you on YouTube and Twitch.
01:21Hello.
01:22How you doing?
01:22The three of us are here holding it down on this reaction Monday.
01:26And hey, we got some great news starting today, starting this Monday and moving on for the rest of the
01:34season.
01:35This show will be better every Monday at three o'clock.
01:41The former Heisman trophy winner NFL starter years in the league.
01:47You hear him right here on 95.7, the fan calling the games next to Mark Vandermeer, Andre Ware.
01:57He will join us each and every Monday at three o'clock for the Andre Ware show.
02:02So he will be putting them jerseys in the trunk coming up for us.
02:08I can't.
02:09Every time we announce something like this, you know, I'll be honest, give Tyler a little love here.
02:14I mean, I'm excited about Dre.
02:15I mean, we text back and forth, talk a lot.
02:18I know when Dre actually calls.
02:19I know, uh-oh, somebody done pissed him off and he done seen something on film we got to talk
02:23about.
02:23I am just saying.
02:25Yeah, I know.
02:25I love it.
02:26I love it, Dre.
02:26But I'm going to be honest with you.
02:27I love Dre.
02:28I can't wait until three o'clock.
02:30But, uh, I mean, the intro that Tyler typically makes.
02:37I mean, I don't know if we've got one this time because it's kind of just popped on all of
02:40us.
02:40But we will eventually have an intro for Dre that I believe is going to be A+.
02:44Fire, yes.
02:45And you are correct.
02:46Not today, but I will have it ready to go for the people next week.
02:49You've got to give us something.
02:51Look here.
02:51I'm not complaining.
02:52I like to see things really happen before I invest a lot of time in them as well.
02:58So, three o'clock, here we come.
02:59There we go.
03:00And really at this time where C.J. Stroud is so front and center, we have Clint here.
03:08Obviously, we are lucky to have a former quarterback in the league that's been in that situation.
03:13But also to have his perspective.
03:15He watches him.
03:17He has seen every single game that he has ever played.
03:22And kind of has some, obviously, connections with that team in that locker room.
03:27It is great to have Andre Ware with us every single Monday, 3 o'clock.
03:31So, make sure you put that on your calendar every day.
03:36You think he has anything to say about that?
03:40He called that U of H game, didn't he?
03:41Yeah, he called the U of H game.
03:43So, he does a good job of not showing his U of H colors, to be honest with you.
03:47I listened intently, waiting for him to go, well, we've got to do this, or we've got to do that.
03:52And he never did.
03:53But, yeah, he called that game.
03:55He's a pro.
03:55He called that game.
03:56So, H-Town, all the Coug fans out there, get a little Coug talk as well.
04:01I wonder if he felt like everybody came dressed as a seat, like it appeared to be on television.
04:07Hey, man, I'm telling you.
04:08Hey, U of H, I'm telling you.
04:10Hey, Tennessee did it.
04:12Try that old half-off beer, man.
04:14They need several promotions, from what I saw.
04:17Football and half-off beer.
04:19Now, a lot of people are just trying to get people in the stadium that they know they're going to
04:21fill it up.
04:22Now, you may be just trying to get folks there.
04:24Hey, come on, man.
04:26Half-off.
04:27I'm going to tell you.
04:28Have Frenchy's chicken down the street.
04:29There you go.
04:30Hey, I'm going to tell you, Ron.
04:31I mean, I come from a long line of football fans and beer drinkers.
04:34And they ain't necessarily got to be, ain't none of them got a U of H, a U of H,
04:38a day on the campus one.
04:40But you give them free beer and football, they might ease his way.
04:42Oh, you want it just free.
04:43I'm sorry, half-off.
04:44You're right, you're right, you're right.
04:46You want to just give it to a free beer.
04:47Hey, tell me, man.
04:48You want to get some tails in them seats?
04:50Hey, man, cut the prices on them cold beers, man.
04:53All right.
04:54Might get a sterner or two in the bleachers.
04:56Well, Andre, he'll react to all of that coming up at 3 o'clock.
05:01We'll hear from you as well, because obviously this is a day 0 and 4.
05:04We want to hear from the people.
05:06713-5724-1610.
05:08YouTube and Twitch, you can jump in.
05:09All right, Clint, you did the post-game show.
05:11So, what's your takeaway from the game yesterday?
05:18Is now they have been 0 and 4 since the last time they were 0 and 4,
05:22they fired a coach.
05:22Yeah.
05:23Yeah.
05:24Look, here's the deal, Ron, is just big picture.
05:31What was that, 2020, Tyler, when Bill O'Brien got fired?
05:34Yeah, I believe that's when that was.
05:36I can't.
05:37I mean, obviously at 0 and 4, you look back and Sean Pendergast went down the 0 and 4
05:42starts and kind of what happened at the end of all the 0 and 4 starts, and it's not pretty.
05:48Coaches getting fired.
05:50You know, I think one year they ended up 8 and 8.
05:53They started off 0 and 4 and ended up 8 and 8 or something like that.
05:56But the other two times it happened, coaches got fired.
05:58I think one of them was Kubiak, and I think one of them was Bill O'Brien.
06:01The Bill O'Brien one is the one that hits close to home for all Texans fans.
06:06And I'm going to be honest with you all, I've thought about this and had it in my head,
06:11and I'm like, man, we've only seen a month of football.
06:13Man, I'm not ready to go there yet.
06:15Oh, you thought about it before yesterday?
06:17No, no, no.
06:18After the game, before the post-game show, I'm kind of, as I'm watching the game,
06:22I'm watching things unfold, and I'm kind of, I'm just, you know how we go, man.
06:26Now you're rolling thoughts around in your head, trying to figure out what's for radio, what's not,
06:29how can you couch it, is now the time?
06:32And I didn't think now would be the time until we get a caller last night on the post-game
06:39show.
06:40And the caller literally brings it up, and that tells me, okay, well now is the time
06:44because it's in the mind of some of the fans, right?
06:47It's hard for me to watch this team right now
06:53and not think of how similar it is to the Bill O'Brien, Deshaun Watson dysfunction
07:03and ultimate exit of, at the time, what was a franchise quarterback.
07:07Now, I think a lot of it gets swept under the rug
07:10because of what Deshaun Watson was then alleged to have done,
07:13obviously the off-the-field issues.
07:15So people, oh yeah, okay, it turned out great for the Texans.
07:18The reality of it is the Texans had ruined a franchise quarterback at that point.
07:25Now, again, the off-the-field stuff happened, so it kind of swept under the rug, okay, all good.
07:29He was ready to bounce.
07:30Oh, he was ready to bounce.
07:32I mean, J.J. Watt was apologizing to him walking off the field.
07:35He was ready to go, right?
07:37I can't help but draw some level of parallel to that Bill O'Brien, Deshaun Watson situation, right?
07:45It is – it's the same offensive system, and more importantly, more specifically,
07:50it's the same brass.
07:57It's the same decision makers.
07:58It's the same culture.
08:00It's the same approach to football that ultimately, you know, had Deshaun Watson,
08:06if we're honest, had J.J. Watt being like, I got to get up out of here, right?
08:08That New England of the South way, that Jack Easterby and Bill O'Brien way of doing things, right?
08:15And we're right back there.
08:17I think it's a very similar approach to football, just overall approach to culture
08:24and kind of how you handle guys.
08:25So it's the same Nick Casario, Bill O'Brien, New England situation where I think it's fine and dandy
08:32as long as you're winning games and you're a dynasty and you're winning Super Bowls,
08:35competing for Super Bowls.
08:36But when you start losing, people get tired of that crap, right?
08:39Something that's going under here.
08:40The disgruntled quarterback aspect of it, gifted quarterback that has franchise quarterback-like abilities, right?
08:51That quarterback has the same agent that Deshaun Watson had, right?
08:55The defense, as I mentioned, J.J. Watt apologizing to Deshaun Watson.
09:01This defense should be apologizing to C.J. Stroud.
09:03There should be a video of Will Anderson walking off the field apologizing to C.J. Stroud,
09:09talking about, man, hey, I'm sorry, man.
09:11I'm sorry that we can't hold up our end of the bargain.
09:13I can't help but look at this scenario and go, boy, we've seen this before.
09:18Quarterback in a suspect system.
09:20The organization appears to be playing tug-of-war with them instead of supporting them, right?
09:26The culture and the way of doing things seems to be not ideal for 2026 and these young players.
09:34I don't know, man.
09:35Am I crazy to think that there's some level of similarities to what we're watching right now?
09:42I'm not saying that D'Amico should be fired the way Bill O'Brien should.
09:46I just can't help but draw parallels to the quarterback and the organization being at odds,
09:51the same system, the same culture, the same really ultimately some very similar decision makers.
09:56I can't help but draw some parallels there.
10:01Clint, I think you're spot on here.
10:05And to me, and Tyler, I think I said this to you before the show, like, I just would say,
10:15Cal and Hannah, you cannot allow them to do this.
10:23You cannot let them screw the C.J. Stroud thing up anymore.
10:27Whoever it is.
10:29Whoever it is, because there's going to be a scapegoat.
10:34We know it, Clint.
10:35Before, it's been Bobby Slowick.
10:38It's been one of the seven offensive line coaches.
10:42It's been Gerard Johnson.
10:44He was the scapegoat last year, right?
10:45Yep, Gerard Johnson.
10:47The year before that, it was Bobby Slowick.
10:49The year before that, it was an offensive line coach.
10:52We've seen them hit it.
10:54You talked about it last week.
10:56They're going to have to go a little higher up on the rung.
10:58Yep.
10:59And guys, I'm telling you, you know it.
11:00We've reached the year 0-4, and the odds of them just spinning and turning this sucker
11:05around is to a point where major moves aren't going to be made out of the half.
11:10You don't have Super Bowl expectations and kick this sucker off 0-4 the way they have.
11:15You don't do that.
11:16Without making major changes.
11:18When you keep making major changes.
11:20And the same problems are the same problems.
11:22Well, too, Ryan, you can't – you talk about Hal and Kimmy, Hal.
11:26Cal and Hannah.
11:28Regardless, whoever it is, like you can't ignore how it's happened either.
11:32The one piece that was made, as you would say it,
11:36seemed like was kind of being set up to be a scapegoat.
11:39CJ Stroud has done exactly what you asked him to do or what you expected him to do,
11:44and some.
11:45Has been lights out.
11:47Listen, he's been lights out on and off the field.
11:49He has handled everything off the field like a professional,
11:52and not just now when he's been the only one doing anything worth a damn.
11:57He handled everything like a professional leading up in the offseason
12:02when everybody was blaming him and throwing every dagger at him,
12:06both nationally and locally.
12:09And what does he come out and do?
12:10Because we've wondered, I mean, how does he handle the adversity?
12:12I don't know how everybody else has handled the adversity,
12:15but that joker is coming out here and playing lights out
12:18with diddly-poo, Jim Morris, with diddly-poo surrounding him.
12:23And it's not the first time he's had to do that.
12:25So, Cal and Hannah, CJ Stroud, many of you want to go a different way
12:31and say he sucks and all this.
12:33You have found the most difficult thing it is to find in the game,
12:39and that is a quarterback that has the ability to consistently play at a high level.
12:43And in his 58 games, he has shown you the vast majority of the time
12:50that he can play at a high level.
12:53And not just at a high level, he can play at a high level
12:57and drag trash around him to winning division titles.
13:02So, let's see.
