06:28Out of bounds, Phoenix takes possession.
06:38Now here's Green.
07:09You know,
07:10how to put it, I mean,
07:40struggled mightily down the stretch with
08:11injuries.
08:12They ended up losing in five,
08:43played in,
08:44with a nice touch,
09:15pitch off the glass.
09:43after the loss,
10:13score inside,
10:15big men,
10:15what to play with a lot of,
10:37action just under three and a half minutes played passes to McCollum like
10:44at six connects from three-point range McCollum's got his first three points of
10:50the game they've wasted no time settling into their offense yeah they're lasered
10:55in really making the most of their possessions and here are the trailblazers
11:00now after T.J. Warren's miss now here's McCollum he's covered closely
11:09and Sanders grabs the miss Suns trail by seven Knight dishes to Sanders to stop
11:21the run misses off the right iron the trailblazers have gone six of eight in
11:27the game so far a very solid start for them feeds it to McCollum Miller outside
11:35he dishes it to McCollum a chance to extend the lead to double digits but it's
11:41no good Phoenix is gone just one of four from three-point range here in the first
11:46Knight kicks to Sanders good Sanders has got his first basket
11:55trailblazers leading by five one second separating the shot clock and game clock
12:02Leonard the pass to McCollum three-pointer
12:08I'll call that time on the way up that'll give him two chances at the free throw line
12:12here yeah the defender all over Greg he got in good there I mean that's why the
12:17shot was so far off the trailblazers shooting their first free throws of the
12:20Knight right here and as a team excellent a season ago about 80 percent when they
12:26got to the line and you know a lot of times guys and some of their
12:29performances last year their free throw numbers helped them win games and the
12:34first one at the line is good the trailblazers making a switch here
12:51Leonard hits them both we're seeing today what makes him one of the best free throw
12:55shooters among the league's big men beautiful straw right for three shot is
13:03off here's McCollum and so the first quarter is in the books Portland out in
13:12front they're up by seven the second quarter coming up right after this break
13:17so don't go anywhere tune in for a scary night of basketball Halloween in the NBA
13:25Eric Bledsoe and the Phoenix Suns go up against Damian and we welcome you back
13:35to the NBA here on 2k sports
13:37and we're ready to get going once more and the players having a chance to have a
13:54short break and get some rest themselves and get refueled and hydrated with some
13:58Gatorade more terrific basketball in store for us tonight what stands out to
14:03you guys from the trailblazers so far in this one I just don't know that you're
14:08gonna see a better quarter defensively than what we saw in the first really a
14:13big part of why they're on top here the defense has been on point a chance here
14:18presented by Gatorade to see who's on the floor all fueled up and ready to go for
14:22the start of the second quarter on the court for the trailblazers Frazier is out
14:27there with CJ McCollum and there's no heartless then there's Vonley and it's
14:32Leonard in at the pivot spot Manning the middle and sometimes it feels like Brandon
14:38Knight is the is the Rodney Dangerfield of the NBA the poor guy just doesn't get
14:42much respect yeah I agree with you Kevin through the end of last season he'd
14:45already been on three teams in five years on one hand it may be disrespectful but
14:50teams recognize his ability to and on the topic of Brandon Knight you have to wonder
14:57why he's been traded around so much I mean it wasn't due to a slow start because he
15:02made the all NBA rookie first team he's smart has a strong work ethic proved
15:08himself to be a clutch shooter in college the kind of guy you normally wouldn't
15:12think about dealing for someone else and no matter who it is that kind of D isn't
15:18going to get it done Suns trail by seven
15:24blood so outside there's the dish to bottom Warren and right away they match it
15:31with a three-pointer of their own Warren's got six you know talking about
15:37Brandon Knight part of the reason he's been traded so often is because teams are
15:41offering great prospects in return Detroit Delta for Brandon Jennings and Milwaukee Delta for Michael
15:47Carter Williams on leg hits to McCollum he feeds it to Aminu six to shoot puts one up from 19
15:59trailblazers keep it alive
16:00pass to McCollum he kicks it to Vonley tries again and it's good on the way in Vonley's got his
16:10first two points of the night
16:11how about the perseverance there the extra effort on that offensive glass and first time out of the game called
16:18for Phoenix
16:20what a year for the Suns in terms of transactions start of the season with
16:24Drogic and Thomas
16:30on the roster and move them both Clark at the deadline and you know most folks saw the
16:34Drogic trade coming after his disagreements with the team the Thomas trade was a bit of a surprise though
16:40for the trailblazers Mason Plumlee's checked in for Noah Vonley Davis comes in for
16:46Maurice Harkis and it's Henderson for CJ McCollum
16:53knocked away it's stolen by Davis
16:59Lillard with it now Green defending
17:05Lillard attacking Henderson
17:12just five to shoot
17:13no stopping him there
17:15jams it in as he's fouled
17:16a chance now for a three-point play
17:19it's gonna go on Markeith Morris
17:22and a moment now to quickly take a look at the offensive approach for the trailblazers
17:26you've gotta like the consistency with which they're hitting that mid-range jump
17:31the other thing they've had going for them tonight is they're passing I mean
17:35doing a nice job plenty of their points early on coming off assists
17:38Suns trail by nine
17:42back to Bledsoe
17:43fires from deep
17:44that's good
17:45he might not have the long-range ability of some other guys but he will knock down open ones like
17:52that
17:55and Lillard kicks to Amina
17:59it's Henderson on the wing
18:04Davis down low
18:05covered by Morris
18:07and Davis puts it in
18:09and they continue to control the glass
18:13guys I think they've simply been the more physical team and that's why they're ahead
18:19pass to Plumlee
18:21back to Lillard
18:23on the wing Davis
18:26kicks it to Henderson
18:29dishes it to Aminu
18:30uncovered
18:32and it's Phoenix with the rebound
18:35tell you what guys it was a bit of a mixed bag for Eric Bledsoe last season
18:40average career highs and rebounds and assists
18:42those were the good parts
18:44but for some reason the field goal and three point percentages dropped 30 plus points
18:49that was big because they dug a big hole in the first quarter but starting to show signs of life
18:55sometimes for whatever reason a lot of times you you don't know why it takes a little while to work
19:01the knots out but it looks like they're putting it together right now
19:09131 left here in the second
19:14tipped away
19:15out of bounds
19:16Phoenix takes possession
19:18and talking about Eric Bledsoe
19:20he took on a lot more responsibility last season
19:22Greg especially after the trades in Phoenix
19:24he became the main focal point of their office
19:27and you know what
19:28it was his first year of kind of being the man
19:32signed the big contract
19:33coming into the season
19:34and now there's a responsibility
19:36that goes with being the go-to guy
19:39Eric has the talent
19:43to shine though
19:44in that role
19:48Henderson kicks to Lillard
19:49there's the
20:17there's the
20:20You
