00:02800-636-1067.
00:04This is your opportunity.
00:05Get whatever you need to off of your chest,
00:08and Linnell and I will play.
00:10We will play therapists for you.
00:13Let's go to line number three.
00:14Jonathan is in Upper Marlboro.
00:16Jonathan, what's going on?
00:17You're on 106.7 The Fan.
00:20What's going on, fellas?
00:22I've been better.
00:23Let's look at this, right?
00:25Can you hear me?
00:25Yeah, we got you.
00:27Okay, yeah.
00:28Let's look at it a different way.
00:29First off, I blame coaching,
00:31and I'm really questioning why all summer,
00:33all off-season we hear about Allegretti being this great big thing
00:37and he's going to be our center.
00:38And then when he has an opportunity to go back to his natural position,
00:41he's not out there starting today.
00:43Like, that's a problem for me, right?
00:46So that's one thing.
00:49Our best running back right now is Eckler,
00:53and he just got here.
00:54So I'm happy to have him back.
00:57As far as the rest of the game,
00:58I mean, I've got my F-bombs out.
01:00Oh, I need to go to church after how many F-bombs I'll drop today.
01:03I hate to blame the officiating,
01:05but if you go on Twitter,
01:07you're seeing a lot of plays and clips showing where it's like,
01:10we don't get these calls.
01:12And it's frustrating.
01:13I mean, I tried to find the illegal shift.
01:15Didn't see it.
01:16There was no hold on De'Ami.
01:18Burst got put in a headlock on that last deep throw.
01:22One of our linemen got put in a headlock before the field goal
01:25at the end of the first half.
01:27And, I mean, we can't –
01:28I'm proud of our God because we did overcome a lot.
01:31We kept fighting.
01:33But I don't know if we're cursed,
01:34but it is frustrating as a fan to see these plays.
01:37Oh, yeah.
01:38The offensive pass in the fence on Diggs.
01:40That's like the one Terry had in Dallas.
01:43That was probably the worst call of the game to me
01:46because there was no extension.
01:47I mean, I don't know what you want him to do.
01:50Yeah, like it's so frustrating.
01:53And it's just like we're not the team that can overcome that all the time
01:57because we're still trying to grow and we're still rebuilding.
02:00But our guys fought hard.
02:02And I'm going to put this – we have our own issues.
02:04I didn't think Tressway really punched it well today.
02:06I don't know where Chig is in his weapon.
02:09And he was supposed to be on offense, but I got to lean –
02:14the referees didn't do us any favors at all.
02:17Can we get to Chig?
02:19Because I appreciate the call.
02:22Denton, he was brought here – he was brought here and paid handsomely.
02:27Yeah.
02:27Before Stephon Diggs came here, do you realize that, like,
02:31he was the saving grace?
02:32He was the guy.
02:32He was the guy that we were saying, hey, we got Chig, though.
02:35We got Chig, though.
02:36He hasn't broken tackle all damn year, Denton.
02:38That's supposed to be his secret sauce is run after the catch
02:42and every time he falls on first contact.
02:45Zach Hurts has more broken tackles than him.
02:47I mean, that's just the reality of it.
02:49So I am – I'm with you, Jonathan, on Chig.
02:52I don't know where he's been.
02:54I hope he chooses to show up sooner rather than later because they need him.
02:58They desperately need him.
03:00It's only been two games for him.
03:01Remember, he obviously did not play in the middle of two games.
03:05He has four catches for 21 yards.
03:09It's the first half for a quarter for some people.
03:12Yeah, that's a quarter for some guys.
03:14Now, like, hey, you know, he was playing with Cali McManus.
03:17Not a lot of reps.
03:18You know, not a lot of reps.
03:20Yeah, that's – I was a little surprised at camp with Chig
03:26because at minicamp he looked great.
03:29In training camp, I was like, hey, when is he going to have, like,
03:33like a really great practice and break out?
03:35And he did it at the very end.
03:36So I was like, hey, let's build some momentum.
03:37Then he gets hurt.
03:39Yeah.
03:39That hasn't been exciting, though.
03:41I will tell you what.
03:41Like, what Diggs has been, because Diggs had another strong performance today.
03:47I mean, he's been the best offensive player to this point in the season
03:50by, I would say, a pretty wide march in Antonio Williams, maybe second,
03:54you know, Bill third, maybe those two switch around.
03:58But I thought Diggs played okay today.
03:59Five catches, 35 yards, should have had more with that OPI, whatever.
04:04Yeah, the Chig thing has not been great, though.
04:06That experience hasn't been a fun one.
04:07And they signed him to a – as you mentioned, they paid him handsomely,
04:10and he got a pretty nice deal.
04:12Yeah, so, like, you got to produce at some point.
04:16I'm just – I'm more baffled at what's happening with this offensive line
04:23and how we at times, to quote Miss Nikki Javala of The Athletic,
04:30look inoperable.
04:32Like, that was – you know, she had dunked on for that.
04:35But, like, there's no better adjective to describe this offensive line
04:40in this offense at times, man.
04:42Like, it's tough.
04:44And I think interior pressure – this is why it was so puzzling to me
04:47that they were just going to say F it at center.
04:50Interior pressure, I think, in today's day and age,
04:54is much more difficult to combat than edge pressure.
04:59That's just how I look at it.
05:01A lot of these quarterbacks, man, if you're flush to one side or another,
05:05you still have your vision.
05:07When you are pressured from the interior and your line of sight is impacted,
05:13I mean, it's just hard to function.
05:14And I think Washington has totally neglected their interior offensive line.
05:19There's just no other way to put it.
05:20I don't want to hear about how you were thinking about paying Tyler Lindstrom
05:25or –
05:26Linderbaum.
05:27Linderbaum, geez.
05:29I don't want to hear about that.
05:30I know that you have Nick Allegretti and Lucas Patrick
05:33and some guy named Togi Togai who I've never heard of before in my life.
05:39Like, I – it's not good, man.
05:41It's not good.
05:42It is not, Ben.
05:44Let's go to CJ in DC, line number four.
05:46CJ, you're on the postgame show with Tendale Leno-Willingham.
05:49What's up?
05:49Tendale Leno-Willingham.
05:50Hey, what's going on, guys?
05:52What's up, man?
05:53It's been a long time, man.
05:54What's going on?
05:56You know, my deal is, man, you know, and I hate to keep hopping on the refs,
06:00but the previous caller kind of hit on it.
06:03You know, purpose and options of the whole game was just the final offensive play.
06:08You know what I mean?
06:09The headlock, you know, on Burks going down the sideline.
06:14I mean, it's just so many missed calls.
06:16We're just not good enough to overcome those things.
06:18But I want to go back to the first half, you know,
06:22where we haven't been able to run the ball.
06:23We barely can get a first down with a third-string quarterback in.
06:28We get no push in the run game.
06:30And we choose to go for when the defense is playing above their heads
06:34versus punting with a single back, inside run, with a fourth-string running back.
06:42Hey, CJ.
06:44Man.
06:45It just seems like sometimes Quinn is asleep at the wheel.
06:48You know what I mean?
06:49It's like not much different than the Dallas game.
06:55The momentum just shifts right there.
06:57You give them a short field, they're immediately in field goal position,
07:01and they go down and get a touchdown.
07:02Game was really over at that point.
07:04But you play the game, but you're so emotional in it
07:09that you can't even process the proper calls and timely calls within the game.
07:14It's just powerful, man.
07:17It is.
07:17CJ, we appreciate the call.
07:18Yeah.
07:19So, can we double back on that decision?
07:21Because the fact – this was also, if I'm not mistaken,
07:27like off of an interception.
07:29Washington had just gotten a pick.
07:31They just forced the Rasul Douglas pick?
07:34Yeah, man, who played great today in certain spots.
07:38He plays downhill, by the way.
07:39Like, I know we're going to harp on it.
07:41Rasul Douglas plays well downhill.
07:43I love that from him.
07:45It's the second time, though, this year,
07:48that in a gotta-have-it situation,
07:51the football is going to somebody who has no business going to.
07:55Craig Reynolds, brother.
07:57You shouldn't be touching the ball in this situation.
07:59John Bates on the damn tunnel screen.
08:03And Philly, you can say you should have just executed the play.
08:07You should have just executed.
08:07It shouldn't be going to him.
08:09It just shouldn't.
08:10Why do you have Stephon Diggs?
08:12Why do you have Antonio Williams?
08:14Why do you have Terry McLaurin in the Philly game?
08:16I was stunned, man.
08:18Katron Allen hasn't had a negative run all year.
08:20Give the ball to Katron.
08:22I'll double on what you just said.
08:23In that Philly game, in a short-yarded situation,
08:26they gave it to Rashad White over Katron Allen.
08:28Why did you draft Katron Allen?
08:30I thought he was the one guy that was going to be expert in short yardage.
08:35With respect to Craig Reynolds, I don't think he's a bad player.
08:38Why is he in the game at all?
08:40The reason that he's up, he's good in pass pro.
08:43That's why he was up today.
08:45It's my thought.
08:47It's not for his running ability.
08:49You know what they want to do on fourth and one?
08:51Pass protection.
08:52Yeah.
08:52I mean, give it to the guy.
08:54And I don't know whose decision that is.
08:56I don't know if that's a Quinn thing.
08:57I don't know if that's a David Blau.
08:59I don't know the exact responsibility of who is in charge of the personnel on a decision like that,
09:05especially because they did the wonky.
09:06We're going to sub thing.
09:08We could have subbed out the running back if you wanted to.
09:10And then just completely killed the momentum of the play itself.
09:14And then you get stuffed.
09:16I mean, that was...
09:17I'm glad that CJ brought that up.
09:19That play...
09:20So along with the penalty play on the Antonio Williams touchdown that I hated,
09:23the decision-making on fourth and one,
09:25I don't hate going for it.
09:27Dan Quinn has showed us he's not afraid to go for it.
09:29I just hate the personnel that they use to go for it.
09:32If you're going to go for it, please be smart about it.
09:34Like, don't try and catch him off guard.
09:36Don't try to be a trickster.
09:37Like, please be smart about it
09:39and put the guy that you drafted exclusively for these positions.
09:43Like, they didn't draft K-Tron Allen because they think he's a home run hitter.
09:46That is not what he is.
09:47He is a short yardage back.
09:49And to have him standing on the sideline, you know, hands on his hips,
09:52maybe getting some water from a trainer,
09:54having him on the sideline for that play is awful.
09:57Yeah.
09:58Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
10:00And the play call doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
10:02And I don't want to, like, Monday morning quarterback it
10:04with every decision that David Blough makes
10:06because we'll be here all day, literally.
10:09But, like, dude, DeForest Buckner, that's the guy you can't block.
10:14And, like, this is my thing.
10:16And these coaches were just, and football players, too,
10:20your testosterone-driven individuals, your confidence is all get out.
10:25You got to know when to hold them and when to fold them.
10:27There is nobody on the interior three of your offensive line
10:30that I trust to win a one-on-one block versus DeForest Buckner.
10:34And, essentially, that's what you were asking.
10:36Brandon Coleman totally olayed on that play.
10:38Let's just call out who was at fault on that play.
10:42Brandon Coleman, I don't know why you would ever just open up
10:45and give up your interior on an inside zone run.
10:50It just didn't make sense.
10:51He got hurt a couple of plays before that.
10:54So, like, I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.
10:57Maybe, like, he was fighting through something.
10:59Come out the game.
11:00Put Andrew Wiley in if that's the case, brother.
11:02Like, I can't have that.
11:04I just can't.
11:05That's enough, Willingham.
11:07I am Denton Day.
11:08Phone lines open.
11:09800-636-1067.
11:11More of your phone calls, your therapy session.
11:14Washington falls to 1-3 with a 30-13 loss against Indianapolis in London.
11:21More of your phone calls next on the Burgundy Gold Post Game Show.
11:31Okay, boys, let's talk about Blue Chew.
11:34It's already the number one brand for better sex,
11:36and Blue Chew just dropped something crazy.
11:38Blue Chew Gold.
11:39Blue Chew Gold.
