00:00Let's go to line five. Kevin is in Largo. Kevin, you're on the postgame show.
00:05Guys, I see right now, I'm going to have to play the Doc Walker role on you guys today and
00:10step in for him.
00:12Obviously, you guys, both of y'all are under 36.
00:16So y'all never saw the great coaches that we had in Washington, like the Joe Gibbs, like the George
00:24Allen, like the Vince Lombardi types.
00:26As a matter of fact, the only person that we had here, since you guys have been born, that wasn't
00:32able to do anything, he was handicapped by the owner of what was the guy whose son is now coaching
00:41in San Francisco.
00:43But nobody in their right mind would have went for that on fourth and two or fourth and one on
00:50their own 45 and 47.
00:52That was an awful decision.
00:52Under those conditions that the guy, Daniel Jones, couldn't do anything, he was horrible.
01:03And the fact of the matter is that the way the defense was locking him down and shutting him down,
01:08nobody would have went for that.
01:09They would have punted the ball and made him beat them.
01:13I don't think they had a first down up until that point.
01:16The defense was dominating them like that.
01:19So I'm saying this to you guys to say that y'all are down playing and saying that, and I
01:24heard one of y'all say, well, you know, I wouldn't be too hard on Dak.
01:28Well, yeah, he did that.
01:30He's the only person in NFL history who had an 18-point lead in the fourth quarter of a Super
01:35Bowl and lost the game because of bonehead decisions.
01:39I'm a season ticket holder.
01:40He's been here for three years.
01:42This is his third year.
01:42I'm tired of his garbage.
01:44I'm tired of his inability to look at a situation and make the right decisions when the money goes on.
01:51Okay, it's not – I mean, is it his – I mean, I guess it is his decision.
01:55First of all, you can't invoke the name of Mike Shanahan and then troll Dan Quinn for the Super Bowl
01:59loss like the kid who's coaching in San Francisco wasn't also responsible for that.
02:03I get what you're saying, though.
02:04No, I'm talking about his father was here.
02:07When his father was here, he was the best coach that was here under the Dan Snyder era since you
02:16all have been born.
02:17And he did a decent job with what he had to work with, but he got fired because of the
02:22way he was trying to manage to coach RG3 and get this team on the right path.
02:27That's what I was – that's the point I was making about that name.
02:31That's the only reason why I brought that up.
02:32The Shanahan guy, we even had a host of incompetent coaches that have come through here, man.
02:37But this is my thing, guys.
02:39Like, I disagree with the decision, too.
02:42We're not going to agree with every decision.
02:45But, damn it, the man just beat the damn Super Bowl champions last week at home with a backup quarterback
02:51because he empowered –
02:54like, he's not going to be perfect.
02:56We appreciate the call.
02:58We appreciate the call.
03:00He's not going to be – he's not going to be perfect.
03:02Like, we can't waver and want to fire him one week and he's the greatest coach in the world the
03:08next.
03:08Like, I think the decision to go for it on fourth down in that spot was a poor decision.
03:14Yes.
03:15Do I now not want Dan Quinn as the head coach of this team all of a sudden?
03:19No, that's not the case.
03:20It's a bad decision.
03:21If you would have got it.
03:23But here's the thing.
03:24Why didn't they get it, then?
03:25We keep talking about they handed it to Craig Reynolds.
03:28Everyone go back and watch the play.
03:30Brandon Coleman literally said – like, if you're watching on stream, literally turned and he was like –
03:36you can watch his shoulders literally go, uh, because he knew he missed his block.
03:41Like, I don't want to do the whole cliche coach speak thing, but if you block your man, the play
03:46would have worked.
03:46Dan Quinn also has a history of going for it.
03:48So –
03:49That's what he does.
03:50He's staying with – he's staying consistent with his idea of going for it.
03:53You could disagree with that.
03:54Like, that's – that's fine.
03:56That's fine, yeah.
03:56Is Dan Quinn the best coach that's been here in a while?
03:59No.
03:59I would still say that Shanahan is probably the best, but also, like, we were around for Joe Gibbs, the
04:04second installment,
04:04and it was pretty good there, too.
04:06You know, he did some really good things.
04:08I don't think that Dan's the worst.
04:10When he said – when our caller said handicap, I thought I was going to mention Jim Zorn.
04:13That's just me.
04:15Sorry.
04:17I don't – you know, like, I don't hate the decision.
04:19I hate the personnel with the decision.
04:21You know, what they were trying to do was to get the offense momentum because the offense had been stalling.
04:25They're trying to get the offense momentum and get Ethan Kallik-Manus to be a lot more comfortable,
04:29get him in rhythm, put together a sustained drive.
04:31I can understand the philosophy in going for it.
04:33It just didn't work.
04:34And you put Craig Reynolds in there, who is not your short yardage back.
04:38And as Linnell mentioned, the offensive line didn't handle the situation to the best of their abilities.
04:44So there's a lot of reasons why that didn't work.
04:46But Dan Quinn has always been pretty consistent with, fourth and short, I like my guys better than your guys.
04:51And it just didn't work.
04:52Yeah.
04:52And, like, I can respect you going down with your horses.
04:59Wrong analogy.
05:00I can respect you going down with your normal gun that shoot, if that makes sense, right?
05:05Like, since you got here in 2024, that's kind of what you were known for.
05:08We were uber aggressive and going for it on fourth down.
05:11I like it, except for when it's in Dallas.
05:14I mean, my issue with Dan Quinn was, you know, it was nice to finally see him give a damn
05:19on the sideline.
05:21Oh, my God, yes.
05:21I mean, seeing him cuss an official out for the first time in what feels like 18 months was nice.
05:27Now, do I want my coach cussing out an official after every single penalty or bad play?
05:32No.
05:33But the cussing out of the official after the digs OPI was necessary.
05:36He should have done it after the Antonio Williams thing.
05:38So I guess, like, that is kind of a win.
05:41And he's not this – look, he's not a guru.
05:44He's not a world beater.
05:45Like, there are certain guys in the NFL right now that are really excellent in certain areas.
05:50Dan Quinn is very much a CEO coach.
05:52If you don't want a CEO coach, you're not going to like Dan Quinn.
05:54But that is his role at the present moment.
05:58He could get better with time management.
06:00Can't argue that.
06:01They just weren't good enough to have that be an issue today.
06:04Yeah, like, I – look, he's not perfect.
06:08If you play Madden, like, you know, there's motivators.
06:11That's what I think he is.
06:12He is a – he's a motivator is how I would describe him.
06:16And I think that's the one thing you can give his team credit for.
06:21And I'll never give him a pass if they come out and don't play hard.
06:25Like, that can't ever happen under this coach because that is the thing that he hangs his hat on
06:30is getting these guys to give it their absolute best no matter what personnel he's given.
06:36So, I do think that's one thing that you could say, yeah, Dan Quinn's one of the best in the
06:41league at that.
06:42Because I don't know how many coaches would have gotten their team ready –
06:45and I keep going back to last week – last week against the defending Super Bowl champions
06:49with a backup quarterback.
06:50I don't know how many coaches would have got their dudes ready for that.
06:53And down two starters on defense.
06:56800-636-1067.
06:58Let's go to line six.
06:59Anthony is in D.C.
07:00Anthony, you're on the postgame show.
07:01What's going on?
07:03What's up, big time?
07:04What's going on?
07:06Not too much.
07:07So, the game was lost in the first quarter.
07:12If you couldn't see that it was only a matter of time before the dam broke,
07:16I don't know what you were looking at.
07:18When the offense settled for two field goals,
07:21that was the game right there.
07:23We should have been up 14-0.
07:25As far as Allegretti goes,
07:27they told you everything you want to know about Allegretti without actually telling you.
07:33The death knell will be when Cosme comes back, who starts at center.
07:39If Patrick starts at center over Allegretti, they're admitting that they messed up.
07:47And as far as Chig goes, I want it likely over Chig.
07:53But, I mean, let's spill milk at the moment.
07:55That's all I got.
07:56I want it likely, too.
07:58I mean, this is...
07:59He's looked pretty good.
08:01Yeah, he has.
08:02Breaks tackles.
08:03He does the thing...
08:05It's a novel concept, Denton.
08:08Isaiah likely is doing the thing that he was advertised to do.
08:14It's, like, brilliant, isn't it?
08:16Like, we paid Chig to Concord to come in here and break tackles.
08:20I haven't seen him break one tackle, Denton.
08:22He's getting tackled by DBs.
08:25Like, come on, man.
08:28If there's one thing that I do kind of have a little bit of, like, heat on, it's the Chig
08:33thing.
08:33Because I just keep imagining, like...
08:37Imagine this alternative universe where Stefan Diggs' off-the-field thing didn't go in his direction,
08:42and Chig is, like, the guy we're relying on.
08:45Like, we'd be screwed, bro.
08:46Hold on.
08:47The current universe is bad enough.
08:48I don't need to be thinking of alternate universes that also suck.
08:51I want to think of an alternate universe.
08:54I want Iyuk here when he's not tripping and doing weird dances.
08:57I want Diggs here healthy.
08:58I want Jaden healthy.
08:59I want Laramie healthy.
09:00I want nothing but pristine health if I'm thinking of an alternate universe.
09:04Yeah, I agree with you on that.
09:06I mean, it's tough.
09:07I'm just...
09:08I'm baffled that, like, this could happen.
09:12And I mentioned this, I guess, last week as we were doing the pregame show.
09:16So, imagine, like, we get geeked up and giddy for football season, man.
09:22We follow it through the off-season.
09:24We follow training camp, OTAs, the combine, the draft.
09:29To be down to your third quarterback in the first weekend of October, it's like you...
09:34Life comes at you fast in the NFL, man.
09:36I mean, the old saying, if you are a person that goes to church, God gives his toughest
09:41battles to his strongest soldiers.
09:43Lord, I'm not that strong.
09:44Please give me the weaker battles.
09:46Please.
09:46I was like, the commander's benching 720 as a team.
09:50I mean, like, come on.
09:52Can we just get a nice weak battle?
09:54Like, I saw what happened in New England last year.
09:56Give me that schedule.
09:57Yeah.
09:57Please, and thank you.
09:58Lord, have mercy.
10:00At the Denton Day, at N-E-L-L underscore B-T-P.
10:03Phone lines open.
10:04Jump on.
10:05Get some stuff off your chest.
10:06Let's go to line seven.
10:08Ryan is in Maryland.
10:09Ryan, you're on the post-game show.
10:10What's going on?
10:13Hello?
10:13Hello?
10:14Hello?
10:15What's up?
10:16Hey, it's Ronnie.
10:17Sorry.
10:17Not Ronnie.
10:18Ronnie.
10:18My bad, Ronnie.
10:19Sorry about that.
10:19Hey.
10:20Hey, in a different universe, we'd have our name back.
10:22So, another thing.
10:25Hey, Kelsey said it.
10:26Another thing.
10:27Marty Schottenheimer never got a fair shot.
10:29And Schottenheimer and Shanahan.
10:31His son is dumb as a doorknob.
10:33So, that doesn't matter.
10:33Oh, yeah.
10:34I'm not.
10:34Yeah, I'm not about the father.
10:36I'm not about the father.
10:39Just bummed out, man.
10:39I woke up a little late.
10:41I was calling you guys at the game.
10:42I called them on channel.
10:43It was a bad day on general.
10:44Everything went downhill once Mariota went out.
10:47I got to give the kid a lot of credit.
10:50He came in there and played really strong.
10:52But somebody's challenges.
10:53I met the digs one.
10:54I don't understand.
10:55And it's injuries.
10:57It's the shortest season out of all sports.
10:59So, injuries come and it definitely affects anything.
11:03I mean, I'm agreeing with Coach Sheehan.
11:05Injuries definitely play a factor in everything that goes on.
11:07And it's offensive line.
11:08I don't know what's going to happen.
11:10But nice catch by Coleman there on that tip.
11:12Well, for Coleman to make that catch.
11:14He's been waiting for that moment his entire life.
11:16Yeah.
11:17I thought he was.
11:19The thing about the offensive line.
11:21I appreciate the call, Ryan.
11:22Good stuff.
11:23That feels like a self-inflicted wound.
11:26Any problem?
11:27And, like, I'm sorry.
11:28Because, like, I'm coming to.
11:30You know, this is how postgame goes, right?
11:32The first hour you're full of vitriol, piss, and vinegar.
11:36And then the clarity comes through.
11:39What the hell were they thinking?
11:40I'm still waiting for it.
11:41Yeah.
11:42I mean.
11:43But, seriously.
11:44As far as, like, the plan up front goes.
11:47What were they thinking?
11:49You have a quarterback that's built like a clothes hanger.
11:53Why would you not do everything in your power to keep the wall in front of him as stable as
12:00possible?
12:02Like, come on, dude.
12:04Like, I just.
12:05I don't have an answer for that one.
12:06And then it's not too late.
12:08Go sign somebody off the streets.
12:10Do something to make me feel better about it, at least.
12:13I mean, I'll take an NFL veteran at this point over a guy with limited playing experience.
12:18Yes.
12:18That should be a relatively obvious conclusion that most of us come to.
12:23Seriously.
12:24But.
12:24I'd say, what a bright idea you just had.
12:26That's the way you dress that up.
12:27Go get a guy that's done this before.
12:28What a crazy concept.
12:30Instead of just throwing a rookie out in there against a defensive tackle, it's pretty good.
12:34Like, wow, crazy.
12:35But I would go see.
12:36Like, you have to turn over every single stone at this point.
12:41I mean, you're one in three.
12:42It's like if we're being realistic about where the team stands, they are one in three.
12:48Statistically, teams that are one in three do not have a lot of success in terms of getting to the
12:52postseason.
12:53Is it out of the question?
12:55No.
12:56But you're really going to be fighting an uphill battle.
12:59The first four weeks of the season have not been a good one due to the injuries.
13:04So, you've got to turn over every single stone to if you still think that you are capable of being
13:08a playoff team when Jane Daniels is healthy.
13:11Which, look, man, I would take a bullet for Jane Daniels.
13:14So, if they think that, hey, we still like our chances with five, I'm going to be in agreeance there.
13:20But you've got to make sure that you are giving him all of the tools necessary at the skill position,
13:25which you're going to go need another wide receiver.
13:28Now, with Jalen Lane being hurt, they clearly don't think that Luke McCaffrey can play wide receiver because he was
13:34a healthy scratch for the third time in four weeks today.
13:38With no Terry today.
13:39No Terry today.
13:40And it felt like they had a ton of dudes that were hurt.
13:43And they were still like, yeah, Luke, we're good.
13:44We don't need you.
13:46So, you need to get him weapons.
13:48But there is a guy on the street right now that can call you up.
13:51Or you can call him up and say, would you like to play guard until Sam Cosme gets healthy?
13:56And that person says, yes, you bring them in.
13:58Like, it really is as simple as that.
14:01Because you need to give all of your guys the best opportunity.
14:04And you need to give number five the best opportunity if playoffs are still at the top of mind.
14:08Which, because it's only week number four, if you've already punted on the postseason, maybe you are still full of
14:14the piss and vinegar, as Linnell said.
14:18Yeah, I hope no one's punting on the playoffs.
14:20Like, everything.
14:21First of all, the division's wide open.
14:23Like, no one in the NFC's looks great.
14:25Every team in the division has to.
14:27They're trying their best to make Philadelphia look really strong right now.
14:29They are.
14:30But the Rams, I mean, you know how I feel about that group.
14:32Every team in this division has a fatal flaw, man.
14:35Like, and I think it's going to come down to whose fatal flaw kills them the slowest.
14:40If that, the slowest.
14:42If that makes sense.
14:44Right?
14:44Like, because I think all of these teams have it.
14:46For Washington, I think it's the injury bug and the lack of depth along their offensive line.
14:52For Philly, I think it's their inability.
14:54They can't stop anybody.
14:56In New York, they don't have a quarterback.
14:58So, everyone's got a fatal flaw.
15:00Who's going to be able to die the slowest death and be the last team standing at the end of
15:05this thing?
15:05I believe this division race, and this is kind of how I felt when we made our predictions earlier in
15:10the year, I think this division race is going to go all the way down until week 17.
15:15Like, that's just how I see it going.
15:17I think it's going to be tight.
15:18And I think everybody's going to be in it until the end.
15:20Speaking of the division, just to look across the NFL, the Giants are losing to the Cardinals.
15:27That's a thing.
15:29The Cowboys are losing to the Texans, who have yet to win a game.
15:34And Philadelphia is up 10 right now against Los Angeles Stafford through an awful interception.
15:39So, to your point, the division is open.
15:42I had somebody tweet at me.
15:45We talked about penalties.
15:46We have not discussed the Amik Robertson penalty, the unnecessary roughness.
15:51Oh, my goodness.
15:52It extended the drive.
15:53It extended the drive.
15:54Was that a penalty?
15:56No.
15:56Was that not a penalty?
15:57I mean, of course it wasn't.
15:58That's just football stuff.
16:00Like, when Jason Kelsey, who has been very adamant, like, I think he's good at the job, he is still
16:06an eagle at heart, which means he doesn't like us.
16:08That's been very clear.
16:10He was referring to them as we last week.
16:12If you listen to his podcast, he has said before, not a fan of Washington.
16:15That's fine.
16:16I don't expect him to be.
16:17He played on the division rival for the entirety of his career.
16:20When he immediately jumps in and is like, that is not a penalty.
16:23And then my boy Russell, I didn't know Russell existed until today, but my boy Russell, the officiating guy on
16:28NFL Network, comes in and says, that is not a penalty.
16:31Why is that being called?
16:33I mean, was that like, hey, we're in London.
16:35We got to show these soccer fans that we reward flopping over here, too, in America?
16:39Like, I don't understand why they would call something like that.
16:41Tyler Warren has about 50 pounds and, you know, six inches of height on Amig Robertson.
16:48What on earth do they think?
16:50How are they falling for him just throwing his heart?
16:51Whoa, look at this guy pushing me.
16:53I mean, that's just a disgusting effort by the officials.
16:56I didn't like it.
16:57And I'm glad we're all on the same page.
16:59I immediately started thinking about the geographical location of the game once that penalty was called.
17:04I said, oh, this is something that are we trying to show them that like, hey, like the NFL is
17:08not violent.
17:09We don't tolerate things like this.
17:11It was so frustrating.
17:13Bro, we are violent.
17:14We tolerate things like that.
17:15That is what this sport is.
17:17It's what we do.
17:18It's how we make our money.
17:20The penalties, though, the more and more I think about it, because initially, like, I'm just from this school of
17:27thought that like, I just refuse to blame the officials.
17:31But then, like, the more and more we think about it, like, how do you not?
17:35Oh, especially on that drive extender, Denton.
17:38Like, it's different when it's just some random penalty.
17:41When it's a penalty that clearly is extending the drive or having an impact on the outcome, like, that's the
17:47ones I can't really live with, bro.
17:49And that was that.
17:50That was that.
17:51It was awful.
17:52Like, there's not really a, and I get it.
17:55Like, he likes to play, and he's been the best player on defense.
17:57They hadn't scored a touchdown yet.
18:00The score was 6-0.
18:02They're settling at that point for a field goal if there's no penalty to make it 6-3.
18:07You still have momentum.
18:09Instead, you give up the penalty.
18:12They score a touchdown.
18:14You then punt on the next drive.
18:15They get a field goal on their final drive of the half, and it's 10-6.
18:21So while you were up six points, maybe you would have been up three points.
18:24You're now down four points because of the sequence of events that transpired and because offensively you still didn't have
18:30a lot of rhythm because Ethan is still, like, seeing an NFL team and an NFL defense for the first
18:38time.
18:39That is a penalty that you're going to look back on.
18:41And, you know, I think that Amik is going to take accountability for that.
18:46I mean, in fairness, when Stephon Diggs made the boneheaded play, he took accountability immediately.
18:51Hey, I've got to be smart in this situation.
18:53I can't do the Antoine Randall-El jumping on the goalpost bit that he did.
18:58So if he's a leader, which I think he is, he's going to take accountability.
19:02Unfortunately, accountability after the game does not take the points off of the board during the game.
19:06No, it doesn't.
19:07And I was frustrated by that because, damn, Amik, like, we just couldn't – you couldn't afford to have that
19:15happen to you.
19:16And I think one of the earlier callers said it.
19:19We're not good enough to overcome adversity right now.
19:24We are not.
19:25We're just not.
19:26This is not a team that can do that.
19:28Yeah, and, you know, some teams can.
19:31We're just not that.
19:32So if I'm a player, I'm even more cognizant of, like, hey, let me make sure at all times I'm
19:40on my P's and Q's
19:41and not doing anything that could kill my team, you know?
19:46They need to get better at that.
19:47Let's squeeze one more phone call in here.
19:49Nick is in New York on line number eight.
19:52Nick, you're on the postgame show with Denton Day and Linnell Willingham.
19:54What's going on?
19:55Hey, guys.
19:57First-time caller, long-time listener.
20:00Appreciate it.
20:00I was very defensive of Quinn last year when everything went haywire.
20:08But I've just about had it, fellas.
20:11I don't understand why Rasul Douglas is doing somersaults in the opposing end zone,
20:16going up on a fourth and one, and then this team has to burn a timeout.
20:19I understand the officiating was bad, but, guys, this team lacks discipline.
20:23There's no way that Frankie Lou should be coming off the sidelines against Seattle to celebrate a play
20:28and then cost his team an extra point.
20:31There's no way Rasul Douglas should be dancing in the end zone after making a tackle.
20:34That's your job.
20:35And then, lo and behold, this coaching staff that raved about Nick Allegretti all offseason,
20:40about how smart he is and how he's going to anchor this offensive line,
20:43he's on the bench in London.
20:44And then, lo and behold, you fly out, Jaden Daniels, to sit him, and you have no third-string quarterback.
20:52And, of course, Mariota goes down, and you're going to rely on Colston Yankoff to come in
20:56after your seventh-round pick.
20:59And Cal, whatever, I could watch on his name right now, but you get what I'm saying.
21:04Yeah, Cali McManus comes in.
21:05You have nothing.
21:06You saw last week Chicago has Keith Keenum as the third-string.
21:11He goes out and balls.
21:12Our third-stringer is Colston Yankoff, who can't even make the roster as a tight end,
21:16let alone a quarterback, barring injuries.
21:19I'm just so fed up with the ineptitude that this team has displayed.
21:23Buddy, can I correct you?
21:25Can I just quickly correct?
21:27Athens is our third-string quarterback.
21:30No, I'm saying today there was no third-string quarterback.
21:33Oh, well, yeah, that's a poor decision.
21:36I mean, honestly.
21:37Whole question.
21:38Would you rather see Yankoff or Sam Harmon?
21:41I mean, I'd rather see Sam Hartman.
21:43I mean, it's neither here nor there, but I think there are guys sitting on the street
21:46that you can bring in and would be serviceable as a third-string option.
21:51You saw last week with Keenum.
21:54Yeah, Nick, we appreciate the call.
21:56So I understand a lot of where you're coming from.
21:58When there wasn't an emergency third-string quarterback on the inactives list, that is eye-opening.
22:04Because, like, who is that supposed to be?
22:06It was Callie McManus when both Jaden and Marcus were healthy.
22:09But then you run into a situation where Marcus gets hurt, and you're like, oh, God.
22:14We're a play away from the tight end being our quarterback.
22:17Whereas, at the very least, while you don't really want to go to Sam Hartman, and I would prefer to
22:21not see Sam Hartman,
22:23he does play the position at the NFL level, or at least he is listed as a quarterback at the
22:28NFL level.
22:30So that could have been a disgraceful, really awful turn of events for the commanders.
22:36Thankfully, Ethan was healthy, showed some guts.
22:38I mean, he got killed a couple of times.
22:40We talked about the DeForest Buckner spear, where his cleats literally de-cleated.
22:46But he also got on the blindside blitz.
22:50He got killed.
22:51Like, defensive back and nickel come in unblocked and decimated.
22:56There were so many times, like, not so many.
23:01Let me not guess it.
23:02There were a couple of times where he was in no-man's land in terms of what was coming from
23:06a blitz standpoint.
23:08Didn't know where the protection was slid to.
23:10There were so many times, and I'm going to say so many on this, where they're running play action,
23:15and the back and him are going two different directions, guys.
23:20I mean, you can't do that.
23:21So, can I be honest?
23:23That's BS.
23:25Can I call a spade, and can I be real?
23:27That shouldn't happen.
23:29He's been the backup the last two damn weeks.
23:31Learn the damn playbook, kid.
23:34Look at the core plays that he's comfortable with.
23:36How much of that do you think is on him?
23:37Because, like, one of the ones that you're bringing up was Craig Reynolds.
23:40Mm-hmm.
23:41And so, like, is that on Reynolds?
23:43Is that on Callie Igmanis?
23:45Because that's a guy that also is kind of, like, new to this.
23:47And what does he know with a playbook?
23:48I mean, I think he's maybe excited because he knows that a guy is coming,
23:51and he's the pass protection guy.
23:52But I get what you're saying because it happened more than once.
23:55I just remember the Reynolds one more than anything
23:57because that was the one where Jason Kelsey addressed it on the broadcast.
24:00I think when that happens, that's Athens calling the play wrong in the huddle
24:04and the direction or the number is flipped.
24:06And it's just a simple – that's what I think.
24:09And I could be totally wrong on that.
24:11We don't know.
24:11But, like, it happened too many times for my liking.
24:14This is the backup quarterback.
24:15Like, he's been getting reps for weeks now.
24:19Mental reps.
24:20Two, three weeks.
24:21He's a big mental rep guy.
24:23Big mental rep guy.
24:24He does the Drew Brees bit where he, like, does the drop back
24:27with the quarterback behind the play.
24:29Which is cute.
24:30It works.
24:32Like, I mean, look, I didn't think he was awful today.
24:34For a guy that was seeing this for the first time, I thought he played well.
24:38Statistically, he was better than Daniel Jones was today.
24:41You know, he threw the ball better.
24:44More touchdown passes.
24:45Daniel Jones didn't have any.
24:46He was more efficient with the football.
24:48So, like, I thought he was better than Daniel Jones today.
24:50But it's just – there was no consistency on the offense.
24:53It was very much a deep throw down the sideline
24:56or you are punting the ball at some point.
24:59And that's a very difficult way to win in the NFL.
25:02That's enough, Willingham.
25:04I am Denton Day.
25:04It's a Burgundy Eagle postgame show.
25:06The Commanders fall to 1-3 with a 30-13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
25:10We'll take more of your phone calls at 800-636-1067
25:13when we get back here on the Burgundy Eagle postgame.
