Senior leader Aradhana Mishra 'Mona' has been appointed president of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee to spearhead Brahmin outreach. The party has named Dalit leader Rajendra Pal Gautam as state in-charge, while Member of Parliament Imran Masood has been assigned the post of working president to engage Muslim voters. Additionally, Devendra Nishad has been positioned to build ties with Other Backward Classes and the Nishad community, alongside Alok Prasad tasked with mobilizing Scheduled Caste groups. 01:14Let's now also understand what is the Congress Party's Uttar Pradesh game plan,
01:19because they are shifting their strategy,
01:21and now there's a new social coalition.
01:24So the party aims to bring different caste and social groups together,
01:26which is also reflecting in the fresh decisions that have been taken by the party.
01:31So Dalit Brahmin OBC alliance.
01:33So Congress plans to seek support from the Dalit, Brahmin and OBC communities.
01:37Big player Rajendra Pal Gautam, who's a Dalit leader,
01:40he has been appointed as the party's Uttar Pradesh in charge to strengthen its outreach.
01:45Then there's a Brahmin face, Radhna Mishramona,
01:48who has been appointed as the new Uttar Pradesh Congress chief.
01:52She's a senior Congress leader, who has been positioned to strengthen the party's Brahmin outreach.
01:57Then there is a Muslim face, Imran Masood, the Congress MP,
02:01who has now been given the post of the working Congress UP president,
02:07to represent and engage with the Muslim voters particularly.
02:11There's also a Nishad OBC face, who is Devinder Nishad.
02:14He is expected to help Congress connect with Nishad and other backward class communities as well.
02:20Then there's another Dalit face, he is Alok Prasad.
02:23He has been tasked with the strengthening mobilization among the scheduled caste communities.
02:28The big target, so one leadership slate, four social blocks.
02:32So the strategy seeks to combine one leadership structure with representation across four major social groups,
02:38as we stated earlier.
02:40And so clearly there's a strategy shift.
02:42The focus is now on caste groups and also on the Gen Z and youth.
02:46We've already seen Rahul Gandhi's Shatruki Gunj rallies in several parts of the country.
02:51So the Congress now plans to expand its outreach to caste communities as well as the younger voters also.
