00:00In this small western town, there's one rule. You never break. Don't open the door after 8 p.m.
00:12If I hadn't seen it myself, I'd never believe it was real.
00:238 p.m. 8 p.m. 8 p.m.
00:32Mommy, after 8 o'clock, don't open the door after you've got a mullet door.
00:42Mommy!
00:54Mommy, what's wrong?
00:57Mommy?
00:58Mommy?
01:02You fixed my doll. Thank you, Mommy.
01:06Oh, baby, I'm sorry. Mommy just thought she saw something.
01:12What did you see, Mommy?
01:16Mommy saw it.
01:23Honey, I'm back. Open the door.
01:26It's Daddy. Mommy, are you going to open the door?
01:33Okay. Mommy's going to open the door.
01:39The door isn't even locked. Why would he need me to open it?
01:50Honey, why won't you open the door?
01:54Honey, why won't you open the door?
01:55Oh, my...

02:59What was it about?
03:02Mommy doesn't remember.
03:04But you're awake now. Don't be scared.
03:09Daddy, I'm gonna be late for school.
03:12Come on, honey. New day.
03:13A new day. Is it really?
03:19You stay home today. I'll take Lily to town.
03:25Hmm.
03:25Hmm. We must have been crazy to move to a place like this.
03:30Forty minutes to town. Not even a decent supermarket. Feels like we're back in the Hoover era.
03:36I love it here. We have a big yard.
03:39Of course you do. You're not the one driving.
03:44Honey, are you sure you're okay? Want me to set up a doctor's appointment?
03:48It was just a nightmare.
03:53We're heading out then.
03:54Bye, Mommy. I'll tell you a joke when I get home.
03:59Okay, sweetie.
04:07I guess it really was just a dream.
04:11I guess it really was just a dream.
04:30I guess it really was a dream.
04:32I think it was just a dream.
04:32No. No.
04:34No! No, no, no!
04:35No.
04:36God, please.
04:39Tell me this isn't real.
04:42Now, if the wound on my hand is real...
04:51Then the doll must be sewn up too.
04:53No.
04:54Please God
04:56Don't make me go through this again
05:05Baby
05:07Mommy
05:13Lily wants her doll
05:16Can you open the door?
05:24Mommy
05:25Open the window
05:28No, no, no
05:31Nora, what the hell are you doing?
05:35Mommy
05:36Close it, close the door
05:46What the hell is going on with you?
05:48Nothing
05:49I thought I saw something
05:58We came to this town three days ago
06:01Now, I can't even remember why we moved here anymore
06:13Mommy
06:14Mommy, that sign is creepy
06:18Dry, not paint
06:21The town was dead still
06:23Barely anyone around
06:24The few people we saw
06:26Their faces were pale
06:29Haunted
06:30And their eyes
06:31Were they scared of us?
06:39How did you get here?
06:41Who are you?
06:45Get your things inside before eight
06:47After eight
06:48No matter what
06:49Do not open that door
06:51What?
06:53Oh no
06:55There's no time
06:56I won't be back
06:57For three days
06:58You're going to die
07:01Listen to me
07:02After eight
07:04No matter what you hear
07:05No matter who it is
07:07Do not open that door
07:19Standing there in that dead street
07:21I don't understand
07:23What happens if you open the door after eight?
07:32I remember it was nine in the morning
07:35Three hours
07:38And I don't remember any of it
07:44I set up an appointment with Dr. Palmer
07:46He's going to come by the house later
07:49When did you leave?
07:51I told you before I left
07:52Dropped Lily at school
07:53Ran some errands in town
07:55And what time was that?
07:57Three hours ago
07:58You okay?
07:59Is it happening again?
08:00I'm losing time
08:02Three hours gone
08:03And I don't remember any of it
08:05It's all connected to that eight o'clock rule
08:07Nora, did something happen again?
08:10But I'm going to find out what's real
08:16What just happened?
08:17Where was I?
08:19Nora, what you're describing
08:20It's textbook
08:21Short-term memory gaps
08:22With hallucinatory projection
08:24No
08:24Four hours
08:25I lost another four hours
08:27Your husband said you threw a lamp at the door today
08:30Can you tell me what happened?
08:33Did he tell you about the town's rule?
08:36What rule?
08:38In this town
08:39After eight
08:40You don't open the door
08:42Then
08:43If something important happens tonight
08:45Will you open the door?
08:58Nora, the prescription's on the table
09:00Pick it up at the town pharmacy, okay?
09:02Your husband said he's taking Lily to school
09:04They'll be back a little later
09:05So don't worry
09:06Make sure you take your medicine on time, alright?
09:09Let me know when you get there
09:09Help me
09:12Daddy's really aren't home yet
09:14And if they come back after eight
09:16You must not
09:19Open the door
09:44Hello?
09:46Honey?

09:48Just grabbing something
09:49Be home in five minutes

09:53Come back now
09:54Right now
09:55What's wrong?
09:56You sound off
09:57Did something happen?
09:59Sheriff Booker was right
10:01Nobody opens the door after eight
10:03Nora, calm down
10:05Are you seeing things again?
10:07Ethan
10:07Please
10:08It's three minutes to eight
10:12Nora, moving to this godforsaking town is bad enough
10:15Can't Lily at least have an ice cream?
10:18If you don't come back right now
10:19Don't bother coming back at all
10:23Fine, coming now
10:25Daddy, are we not getting ice cream?
10:28No, mommy wants us to head home first
10:32But I already picked one out
10:34We'll get it tomorrow, let's go
10:51No matter what
10:54Don't open the door
11:03Help me
11:05Daddy
11:06Daddy, daddy, open your eyes
11:08Holy shit
11:10The rebar went straight through him

12:23Ma'am, please
12:25He's dying
12:30Mommy
12:31Mommy
12:31Have you decided?

12:36No matter what happens
12:38I have to open this door after eight
12:51Mommy
12:51Mommy

13:20Go get it
13:22I'll get the medical kit
13:24Daddy
13:25Open the door
13:26What the hell are you doing?
13:27Your husband is dying
13:29And you're just standing there?
13:32Oh, no
13:32Ethan
13:33Quick
13:34Lay him down
13:36My husband was impaled by rebar
13:38But I was still drowning in hallucinations and reality
13:42I opened the door after eight
13:44And nothing happened
13:45Was that terrible taboo a lie?
13:54God
13:55It hurts so much
13:57Am I going to die?
13:58No, you won't die!
14:00I've got it
14:01I've got it
14:01I've got it
14:02Daddy
14:04Daddy, look at me
14:09My phone is three minutes behind
14:12It's actually one minute to eight
14:14The door is open
14:15In forbidden time, the door is open
14:20After eight o'clock
14:21Don't open the door
14:24After eight
14:24No matter what
14:26Do not open that door
14:30Close the door
14:31Close the door now
14:32What?
14:34Tom's still outside?
14:35There's no time
14:37Close the door
14:38What are you doing?
14:39There's nothing out there
14:40You said it yourself
14:41Nothing happened
14:46Crazy

15:19Gonna cost a fortune
15:20If the guy dies
15:22Fuck, I'm completely screwed
15:25Who knows how long the ambulance will take
15:33Don't get out?
15:34What's this kid doing holding up a sign in the middle of the night?
15:39Hey
15:40Kid, what does that mean?
15:41Go home
15:50There's nothing behind me
15:51What is this kid trying to do?
15:57What is this kid trying to do?
16:02What the fuck?
16:09Fuck

16:55I need to go check on him
16:58No
16:59You absolutely cannot open that door
17:02Did you hear that?
17:03That sound
17:04He could be in trouble
17:06Do not open the door
17:08Get out of my way
17:09That's my brother
17:10You can't open it
17:12Fuck, you're insane
17:14I don't give a shit if your husband dies
17:16But you're not gonna let my brother die too
17:19Mommy
17:20Daddy's spitting up blood
17:23Move
17:23Your husband is dying
17:25My brother is out there too
17:27If you keep blocking this door
17:29Both of them die
17:30There's a taboo in this town
17:32You can't open the door after eight
17:34If you open it
17:35Everyone dies
17:36You believe in that bullshit?
17:39No
17:40You can't open it
17:41You don't understand
17:45Fuck, he's screaming for help
17:48Can't you hear it?
17:50That's not him anymore
17:52Can't you tell?
17:53What the fuck are you talking about?
17:57Open the door
17:58I got the medical kit
18:04Tom
18:05Is that you?
18:11Open the door
18:12Open the door
18:13I got the medical kit
18:15There's a hemostatic pack inside
18:16Tom
18:18Is that you?
18:20Who the fuck else would it be?
18:22I fell and the kit rolled under the truck
18:25Open the door
18:26That guy's still bleeding
18:28Open the door
18:29That guy's still bleeding
18:31Tom
18:32That thing we did at Mike's place last time
18:34Do you remember?
18:36Why the fuck are you bringing that up now?
18:39Just say it
18:40I'm not opening otherwise
18:42Mike was out on a long haul
18:44We went to see his wife
18:46You said two wasn't enough
18:48Three was more fun
18:49We fucked in their bedroom all night
18:52Mike still doesn't know
18:55It's him
18:57Only the two of us know about Mike's wife
19:01No
19:03That's not him
19:04You heard what he said
19:07Open the door
19:08He's fading fast
19:13Move
19:14No
19:15That voice just now
19:21You bitch
19:23Are you waiting for him to die
19:25So you can collect the insurance?
19:26I'm not carrying a manslaughter charge for you
19:36Please
19:37Don't
19:43No
19:55Fuck you scared the shit out of me
19:59Tom
20:10I got the medical kit
20:12There's a hemothatic pack inside
20:17You don't want it?
20:21If the door is opened
20:22Do not run outside
20:24Hide in the bedroom
20:25Hang the enclosed stone on the doorknob
20:28Then brace the door
20:29No matter what you hear
20:32No matter who calls you from outside
20:34Do not open the door
20:36Remember
20:37That stone
20:39Is your only chance
20:42Lily
20:43Help me get daddy into the bedroom
20:45Quick
20:50Where are you going?
21:05Don't make a sound
21:15Open the door
21:19I swear
21:20That was the most nightmarish night of my entire life
21:27Poor Steve
21:28Dying out there like that
21:30I heard the gurgling sound of liquid spilling out
21:33That was his blood
21:36I covered
21:37Lily's ears
21:38My poor child
21:40Trembling in my arms
21:42Blood sprayed through the crack in the door
21:44Like a shower head washing over me
21:46I counted to 37
21:48The sounds stopped
21:49I didn't dare open my eyes
21:51Afraid that if I did
21:53Those things would be standing right in front of me
21:55The door was still there
21:57But it was soaked through with blood
21:59The stone's glow faded
22:01It must have protected us
22:08What is this?
22:10This strange town
22:11This mysterious stone
22:13God, what sin did I commit to deserve such a terrible judgment?
22:20The knocking started again
22:22Open the door
22:25I got the medical kit
22:29Steve came back from the dead
22:30Just like Tom
22:31I knew he wasn't human anymore
22:34Lily was looking at me
22:36Her eyes were wide
22:38Her lips trembling
22:39Open
22:41The door
22:45When will this terrible night end?
22:47I can't bear this fear any longer
22:59The knocking stopped
23:02Mommy
23:03Is it gone?
23:06Don't go near the door
23:07Don't make a sound
23:10I crawled to Ethan
23:11The rear was still in his chest
23:14His blood had almost run dry
23:18I'm sorry, Ethan
23:20I did this to you
23:21There, there
23:23Stop the bleeding
23:25I pressed my hand to his chest
23:27I waited a long time
23:28No rise
23:29No fall
23:30No heartbeat
23:32No
23:35No
23:41Mommy
23:43Is daddy asleep?
23:45Does that mean he's not hurting anymore?
23:48Is daddy hurting?
23:50If he's asleep, it doesn't hurt anymore, right?
23:55No, God, tell me why
23:57Why is this happening?
24:00Hey
24:06Here is Johnny
24:17Tom knocked the stone off
24:19It lay in the pool of blood
24:21The last thing I had was gone
24:23He was squeezing through
24:25The crack was getting bigger
24:28I had nothing left to block him with
24:33I pressed the stone back
24:35He was right there
24:36Less than half a meter away
24:39My fingers were shaking
24:41His eyes were on me
24:43He stared at me for a long time
24:45I don't know what he was looking at
24:47Me
24:48Or the stone
24:53But he left
24:58Mommy
25:04Ethan lay in the corner
25:06I looked at his half-opened eyes
25:08Like he still had something to say
25:10I don't know when I fell asleep
25:13I thought I would die in that room too
25:15But I didn't
25:20When I opened my eyes
25:22It was the same thing again
25:24Waking up in bed
25:25My memory had jumped again
25:28One second I was pressing the stone
25:30The next
25:31Sunlight and birdsong
25:34What happened in between?
25:37How did last night end?
25:39How long did I sleep?
25:41I don't remember any of it
25:43I sat up and looked down at my hands
25:46Banded aids
25:48I remembered the glass shards
25:49Cutting my palm last night
25:51I peeled the band-aids off
25:53The skin underneath was perfect
25:55No wounds
25:56No needle marks
25:57Nothing
25:58I turned my hands over and over
26:01Palms
26:01Backs
26:02Ten fingers spread wide
26:05I couldn't find any evidence
26:07That anything had happened last night
26:10My first thought was
26:12It was a dream
26:14All of it
26:15The doll
26:17The taboo
26:18Ethan getting impaled
26:20Tom killing Steve
26:22Blood spraying through the door
26:24It was all a dream
26:35Then I saw the stone
26:38Hanging on the doorknob
26:39Exactly where I'd hung it last night
26:44If it was a dream
26:45Why was this thing here?
26:50I walked to the door
26:51The door panel was intact
26:53No cracks
26:54No blood
26:55No wood shivings
26:57The vanity was in its place
26:59The floor was dry
27:01If last night was a dream
27:02How do you explain the stone on the doorknob?
27:05If last night was real
27:07How do you explain the door?
27:09This was the first time I felt true fear
27:13Not fear of something coming to kill me
27:16But fear that I couldn't tell what was real and what wasn't
27:20Lily was sleeping in the bed
27:22She was alive
27:25But the doll was in her arms
27:27I stared at it for a long time
27:29Its mouth was sewn shut
27:31Not split open
27:33I reached out and touched its mouth
27:36The stitching was neat and tight
27:38Just like the day I sewed it
27:40I started to think I was losing my mind
27:45The living room was bathed in sunlight
27:47The couch was clean
27:48No blood
27:49The floor had no drag marks
27:51I stood there
27:52Scanning every corner of the room
27:55Desperately looking for one detail
27:57One single detail
27:58That could prove last night was real
28:00I couldn't find one
28:04Honey
28:05You're up early
28:11Then Ethan came out of the bathroom
28:14Striped pajamas
28:15Messy hair
28:16Toothbrush in his mouth
28:18I walked over and pressed my hand to his chest
28:21A heartbeat
28:23Warm
28:24Strong
28:24What's wrong
28:25Another nightmare
28:28He took my hand and asked if I'd forgotten my meds again
28:31He didn't remember dying
28:34He didn't know what happened last night
28:36This was my greatest fear
28:38Not that he was dead
28:39Not that the monsters came
28:41It was that I was standing here in the sunlight
28:43Looking at my living husband
28:44And I couldn't be sure he was really alive
28:46Or if I was still dreaming
28:48I stepped back
28:49Then I saw the table
28:50The medical kit
28:51The doll's mouth was split open
28:53Last night was real
28:55The door opened
28:56Ethan was impaled
28:57Tom killed Steve
28:58Blood covered the bedroom
28:59I saw it with my own eyes
29:01I touched it with my own hands
29:03That dream
29:04That dream I thought was so long was real
29:07So who was the Ethan standing in front of me now?
29:14Where did this medical kit come from?
29:16We didn't have this yesterday
29:17Ethan asked me where the medical kit came from
29:20I don't remember how I answered
29:22There was only one question
29:24Lopeling in my head
29:25If last night was real
29:27And this morning was also real
29:29How could both truths exist at the same time?
29:34How could Ethan be both dead and alive?
29:40I was going crazy
29:41I wanted to solve the mystery
29:43Then I saw the kitchen knife
29:46If all of this is a dream
29:48Then cutting will wake me up
29:51If this isn't a dream
29:55There's blood inside this thing
29:57Then fake things shouldn't bleed
30:01Nora!
30:02Why?
30:02Why?
30:11This isn't real!
30:13All of this is fake!
30:15Mommy?
30:17Mommy?
30:19Mommy?
30:19Daddy?
30:20Daddy is bleeding again
30:22Lily said again
30:25She said again
30:28That wasn't the real Lily
30:29That wasn't the real Ethan
30:33Mommy?
30:39All of this is fake
30:41I need to save my daughter
30:43Mom?
30:48If all of this is a dream
30:50Then cutting will wake me up
30:58Where is this?
31:00Did I escape from that terrible nightmare?
31:04A church
31:08Ethan
31:09Can you hear me?
31:13Lily
31:14Wake up
31:15It's mommy
31:20Don't open the door
31:37Sheriff Booker?
31:40How did you get here?
31:41How are you awake?
31:43Sheriff?
31:43Where is this?
31:45What happened?
31:46You can't be here
31:47You need to go back
31:48You need to go back
31:49Go back where?
31:51To that house
31:52That loop
31:53No
31:54You don't understand
31:56You've already gotten out
31:58You can't let it find out you're out
32:02It?
32:04Who is it?
32:08Don't open the door
32:10Don't open the door
32:12The bell
32:13Watch the bell
32:21A strange church
32:23A mysterious octograv formation
32:25The terrifying bell
32:27And the fractured tongue
32:29What have I been through?
32:32What's behind the door?
32:37What's behind the door?
32:44Nora?
32:45Nora?
32:46Nora?
32:47I couldn't believe it
32:48I was back
32:53How did you get here?
32:54Who are you?
32:57You have to get your things inside before eight
32:59After eight
33:00Whatever you do
33:01Don't open the door
33:02It's taboo
33:03We just moved here
33:04And you come running up with this nonsense
33:06I don't have time to explain
33:08The sun is going down
33:10Remember
33:11After eight
33:12No matter what you hear
33:13No matter who it is
33:14Don't open the door
33:15It's taboo
33:17Some crazy lunaturt
33:22Sheriff Booker
33:25Watch out for the bell
33:26And I need the stone
33:27Will you send it to me in a letter?
33:30I understand
33:32What did you say to that crazy man?
33:34Watch out for the bell?
33:35Stone?
33:36Letter?
33:36Do you know him?
33:45What's going on?
33:46Why is this town so strange?
33:49Nora?
33:49Where are you going?
33:51What secret is this clock hiding?
33:53Nora?
33:53What the hell is wrong with you?
33:55Ethan!
33:56Where's Lily?
33:58Nora?
33:59Why are you suddenly asking that?
34:01Where's Lily?
34:02Tell me right now!
34:06Nora?
34:07Lily is dead
34:10That's why we moved to this town, isn't it?
34:14No!
34:30Still the same
34:31Threw a lamp again this morning
34:33Dr. Palmer
34:34Is she really taking the meds you prescribed?
34:36Moving here was her idea
34:39After Lily's death
34:40She's been like this
34:43Three months now
34:49She won't accept it
34:51She treats that doll like it's Lily
34:52Talks to it
34:55Brushes its hair
34:57Sews its clothes
34:59If I touch it
35:00She bites me
35:03The hallucinations are getting more specific
35:06She said Lily was standing outside the window
35:09Scraping the glass with her nails
35:11But there's nothing there
35:14She'll stand in the kitchen holding a knife for hours
35:17I go over to her
35:18She looks at me
35:20Takes a few seconds to recognize me
35:23Then she asks
35:24Ethan, where's Lily?
35:28She asks every day
35:30I answer
35:31She cries like it's the first time
35:33Then forgets
35:33And asks again the next day
35:35I haven't been able to go to work
35:37I stay home watching her every day
35:39Hospital?
35:41I don't want to lock her up
35:42She's not crazy
35:43She just doesn't remember
35:46Sometimes she's normal
35:48She calls me Ethan
35:50Asks what I want to eat
35:51Those moments are exactly like before
35:54I want those moments to last longer
35:56Maybe one day will
36:00But this morning she stood in the kitchen with a knife
36:02Looking at me
36:05And said
36:07Ethan, did I ever cut you?
36:12Ethan
36:19Honey
36:21Are you, are you okay?
36:23You were on the phone with Dr. Palmer
36:26No, it was just work stuff
36:29Ethan
36:29Is Lily really?
36:32I'm sorry honey
36:33I'm sorry honey
36:34I'm sorry
36:37So everything I saw
36:40It's all hallucinations
36:41You didn't see anything
36:44Oh no
36:45It's okay
36:47You're just too sad
36:49Dr. Palmer will come later
36:51You have to cooperate with the treatment, okay?
36:55Okay
37:08Ethan said I was sick
37:11That Lily had been gone for a long time
37:14That I just couldn't accept it, so
37:19Mrs. Nora?
37:23That's me
37:24This is for you
37:26This is for you
37:49Nora
37:50What are you doing?
37:54Nothing
37:55There were some words on the door
37:57I painted over them
37:59Come in Dr. Palmer
38:00Let's talk
38:10You look good today
38:12I feel a little better
38:14Your husband said you didn't scream this morning
38:17Right
38:18I woke up
38:19Saw the sunlight
38:21Heard the birds
38:24It's been a long time since I felt like that
38:27Do you remember what happened earlier?
38:29No
38:31But Ethan told me
38:33He said I threw a lamp
38:35You mentioned some things before that scared you
38:38Do you remember them?
38:42Some of it
38:43Not all of it
38:46It's like a dream
38:48Do you think those things were real or not?
38:53Do you think those things were real or not?
38:56Fake
38:57Ethan said Lily's been dead for three months
38:59The things that scared me
39:02I made them all up
39:05I painted over the words on the door this morning
39:07Red paint
39:08I covered them up
39:10Nora
39:11This is the most clear-headed you've been in three months
39:15I want to get better
39:17I don't want to stand in the kitchen holding a knife
39:20And forgetting what I was about to cut anymore
39:22Are you willing to cooperate with treatment?
39:26Yes
39:27But you have to help me
39:29I forget a lot of things
39:32I can't tell what's real and what's not
39:35Doctor
39:36Can you tell me?
39:37Of course
39:38Do you remember what year you moved to this town?
39:41This year
39:43Ethan said it was three months ago
39:52Watch out for the bell
39:54It found you!
39:58Nora
39:59Are you okay?
40:05I'm fine
40:06Dr. Palmer
40:08Let me
40:08Get you some coffee
40:35Nora
40:36Are you really willing to be hospitalized?
40:40Ethan disagreed before
40:41But
40:41If you're the one asking
40:43I think we can reconsider
40:45Oh
40:46Thanks
40:47Nora
40:48I heard you say you want to get better
40:51Dr. Palmer
40:52Did I ever mention a sheriff to you?
40:55Sheriff?
40:56This town doesn't have a sheriff
40:57Nora are you-
40:58He was ringing a bell
40:59Running down the main street
41:00Saying don't open the door after eight
41:01He said watch out for the bell
41:02He said he understood
41:03Do you know him?
41:04Nora
41:04This town has never had a sheriff
41:07Not once
41:07Then what about the neighbors outside?
41:09The little boy on the second floor across the street
41:11He held up a sign that said don't get out
41:13Have you ever seen him?
41:15Nora
41:16You need to rest
41:17Let me get you your medicine
41:18Dr. Palmer
41:20Have you ever lied to me?
41:23Nora
41:23Give me the fork
41:24You said this town has no sheriff
41:26But I have his letter in my pocket
41:28You tell me
41:29Where is my daughter?
41:30Nora
41:31Calm down
41:44It should be past eight now
41:47No reset
41:48No loop
41:49Dr. Palmer was real
41:54But why did he say the town has no sheriff?
42:02Nora
42:03Nora
42:04Nora
42:05Lock the door
42:06Don't let her out
42:07Don't shoot
42:08Please
42:09She's just sick
42:10She doesn't know what she's doing
42:13Mr. Ethan
42:14Step back
42:15Does she have a weapon?
42:16I don't know
42:17Nora
42:18Open the door
42:20Open up
42:21Put your hands up
42:24Why
42:24Why isn't it over yet?
42:27I just wanted it to stop
42:29No
42:32No
42:33My Lily
42:36Mommy
42:45Go to the basement
42:47Lily is there
42:50Hands up
42:52Don't move
43:02Lily
43:03The moment I entered the basement
43:05All sound from the outside world seemed to cut off
43:10Lily
43:10Tell Mommy one more time
43:12Where did you go?
43:27Lily
43:30Lily
43:31Oh no Lily
43:32My child
43:32How did you end up here?
43:34You're here
43:35You've been here all along
43:48So from the very beginning
43:50I had already lost my Lily
43:54So you've been here three months?
43:56Getting used to it?
43:58Not bad
43:59Big yard
44:01Lily loves it
44:02My husband said the same thing when we first moved
44:05You get used to it
44:08How old is Lily?
44:10Seven
44:11Playing over there
44:15What about your kid?
44:17Eight
44:18Boy
44:19A handful
44:20Wait for me
44:21By the way
44:22That supermarket in town
44:24Which one did you say?
44:26Lily
44:28Lily fell
44:35Lily
44:35Lily open your eyes
44:37Mommy's here
44:39Oh my god
44:39I'll call 911
44:40Don't touch her
44:41Don't move her
44:43Lily
44:45Can you hear Mommy?
44:47Lily
44:58I killed my daughter
45:02No
45:02Not me
45:04It was an accident
45:05But I didn't want to remember
45:07Ethan kept telling me
45:09You were dead
45:10I didn't believe him
45:12I thought you were fake
45:15I thought Ethan was fake
45:17I thought everything was fake
45:20From the very beginning
45:22I had already lost Lily
45:28The doctor confirmed it
45:30Lily's gone
45:34Nora
45:35Did you hear me?
45:38I heard you
45:40Say something
45:42Cry if you need to
45:45The way you're acting
45:46Scares me
45:50Ethan
45:51Let's move
45:52What?
45:55I said let's move
45:57Leave this place
45:58I don't want to stay here
46:00Everywhere I look
46:01There are traces of her
46:03But
46:04Lily's just passed away
46:06We have to handle the arrangements
46:08The cemetery hasn't even been chosen yet
46:11I have an ancestral house
46:12In a small town out west
46:14It's been empty for years
46:17I want to go there for a while
46:20Ancestral house?
46:22You never mentioned you had an ancestral house
46:24It was from my mother's side
46:26She left it to me before she died
46:28The house is old
46:29But it's livable
46:30Ethan
46:30I need to leave this place
46:34Will you come with me?
46:37All right
46:38We'll move
46:39But you have to promise me
46:42You're willing to accept this
46:45I accept
46:47Lily's gone
46:47I know
46:54What I meant by accept
46:56Was accepting that she shouldn't have died like that
47:01So I decided to bring her back
47:11This is your ancestral house?
47:13Looks like no one's lived here for at least 20 years
47:1530
47:17No one's been here since my mother passed
47:20We're really staying here?
47:22Looks like part of the roof collapsed
47:25I can fix it
47:26You help me
47:47What is this place?
47:49You never mentioned a basement before
47:51I came here a few times when I was little
47:54My mother kept some old things down here
48:01This is it
48:03What book is this?
48:04What does it say?
48:07A notebook passed down through the family
48:10Ethan, go upstairs and start unpacking
48:13I need some time alone
48:15Are you sure you're okay?
48:19I'm fine
48:19I just need some quiet
48:35Lily
48:36Mommy's coming to get you
48:46You're new here?
48:47This house has been empty for a long time
48:50Yes
48:50We just moved in
48:52I'm Ethan
48:53This is my wife Nora
48:54And you are?
48:56I'm Sheriff Booker
48:58This house belongs to your family?
49:01It's my mother's ancestral house
49:03What's the matter, Sheriff?
49:04This house has a history
49:07I'd advise you not to touch anything in the basement
49:09Basement?
49:10We just moved in
49:11Haven't had time to sort things out down there
49:13I'm not asking
49:14That door should stay locked
49:15There are old things down there that shouldn't be dug up
49:18Sheriff
49:19Sheriff
49:20What's wrong with the basement?
49:22Just remember
49:24Don't open that door
49:26Some things, once opened, can't be closed again
49:30All right, Sheriff
49:31Thanks for the warning
49:33Did your mother ever tell you anything about this house?
49:37No
49:37My mother rarely talked about the past
49:40You're from out of town, right?
49:42This town's quiet, but folks keep to themselves
49:44If anything comes up, come find me
49:46I'm in the White House at the west end of town
49:48Okay
49:48Don't touch that basement door
49:50I mean it
49:56He knows what's behind that door
50:01But that's not his business
50:16Lily
50:17Mommy's taking you away
50:35Nora
50:35What are you doing?
50:37That's Lily
50:37How could you dig her up?
50:39Ah!
50:44Stay back
50:46One more step and I'm done
50:47You're insane
50:49Bury her back
50:50We're going back
50:51I'm calling a doctor
50:53She shouldn't have died
50:54It was my fault for not watching her
50:56I'm bringing her back now
51:07My blood has died
51:09My bone has proved
51:11Return
51:21Lily
51:22Lily
51:24Lily
51:24Mommy's here
51:26You're back
51:29Mommy
51:30Mommy
51:32Lily
51:33What's wrong with you?
51:36Say something else
51:56Who's there at this hour?
52:04What?
52:05What are you?
52:06What are you?
52:15Shhh
52:16Baby
52:17Don't make a sound
52:21Henry
52:21Henry
52:23Did you open the door?
52:25Henry
52:25Let go of me
52:27Henry
52:32Henry
52:33What's wrong with you?
52:35Say something
52:45Give him back
52:47Give me back my baby
52:51Henry
52:52Henry don't
52:54That's your son
52:55Henry
52:56What did you do?
53:06Everyone lock your doors and windows
53:08After eight
53:09Don't open the door
53:10Don't open the door
53:11Lock the doors
53:13No matter what you hear
53:14Don't open
53:17Sheriff
53:17Sheriff save me
53:21Sheriff
53:22Let him go
53:24Let him go
53:27What have I done?
53:30I destroyed an entire town
53:33Just to bring one child back
53:45Mommy
53:46Mommy
53:47I'm hungry
53:53You're not Lily
53:55Did you open the door, Mommy?
53:59Mommy
54:02Did you open the door, Mommy, you brought me back
54:09But you got it wrong
54:10What you brought back isn't me
54:14How do I make you go away?
54:19Close the door
54:22Close all the doors
54:24I understand now
54:36Everything has to end
54:39Completely
55:00Burn it all
55:03Close the door
55:11All of it
55:12The taboo
55:14Not opening the door after eight
55:16The sheriff's warning
55:19It was all because of me
55:24I dragged this whole town into hell
55:26Just to bring you back
55:28I turned everyone into monsters
55:31I made Ethan die
55:33Over and over in front of me
55:35Those were all my hallucinations
55:38I was punishing myself
55:41Lily, Mommy understands now
55:43You're not a monster
55:44You're my daughter
55:47And I
55:48I am the source of all of this
55:52Now I'm going to stop this
55:54I'm going to close the door
55:58All the doors
56:00Close them all
56:01I've lost the will to fight
56:02I've lost the will to fly
56:05Goodbye to all of you
56:09Goodbye
56:09Goodbye
56:13I have to die
56:16Mama
56:17Oh, the dream is over now
56:23I don't know how to shake her bow
56:29Mama
56:30Who I never wanted this to be
56:36Is this the end for me
