00:01I don't want to take too many calls here, but let me grab Chris.
00:04Oh, wait a minute.
00:05Chris, I guess, witnessed something.
00:06Chris is in Tampa.
00:07Hello, Chris.
00:08Welcome to the MJ Morning Show.
00:11Hi, how you doing?
00:12Doing well.
00:13What's up?
00:14Hi, yes.
00:15So, yeah, I witnessed it firsthand.
00:17So, me and my wife got married in 2024 at the Brandon courthouse.
00:22And as we're filling our information, a couple comes up next to us, and apparently they're
00:27first cousins, and me and my wife looked at them like, what the heck?
00:31And the clerk had to, like, stop us because we were like, wow, this is crazy.
00:35First cousins are allowed to get married?
00:39In Florida, the answer is yes.
00:40Why were they volunteering it?
00:42Yeah.
00:42They, like, walked up and, like, hey, sorry, we're first cousins.
00:45We're getting married today.
00:46Well, that was my question.
00:47They just blurted out, hey, we're first cousins.
00:50Hey, my name's George.
00:51This is Helen, my first cousin.
00:54Yeah, the clerk, that's one of the questions they ask.
00:56It's like, all right, are you family members?
00:58They said, we're first cousins.
01:00And then me and my wife was just like, what the heck?
01:03And the clerk had to stop us, me and my wife, because we were about to say something.
01:06I'm like, no way.
01:07Wait, what do you mean the clerk had to stop you?
01:11What did the clerk say to you?
01:13Shut up.
01:14She was just like, ah, don't say anything.
01:16We were like, how?
01:17Hold on.
01:18Why did the clerk?
01:19So, they got reprimanded.
01:21Why did the clerk not want you to say something?
01:23The caller's getting in trouble, not the first cousins.
01:25That's how backwards this is.
