00:00Versato Information Chief Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz has warned the party's elected representatives
00:06that those who quit must give up their seats and pay 10 million ringgit under a pledge signed by candidates.
00:14In a Facebook post, Tun Faisal reminded Versato representatives of the oath and pledge they signed when they were selected
00:22to contest elections.
00:23He claimed those who left Versato or joined another party would be cursed, while spending from their elected representative allowance
00:32would be considered haram.
00:35Tun Faisal also shared a screenshot of a pledge stating that elected representatives must resign as assemblymen, MPs or senators
00:44if they quit Versato or join another party.
00:47The pledge also stated that anyone who left Versato agreed to pay 10 million ringgit to the party immediately.
00:56Tun Faisal named no one but his remarks came after Terengganu Executive Councilor Razali Idris hinted at leaving Versato for
01:05a new party,
01:06more than a month after relinquishing his post as Terengganu Versato chairman.
01:11The Kijal assemblyman said September 30th was his final day as a Versato leader, after 10 years in a leadership
01:20role.
01:21Responding on Facebook, Razali said his pledge required him to follow party directives only when they did not conflict with
01:29Islamic teachings.
01:31He then questioned what happened in Perlis.
01:34In December, five Versato and three past assemblymen withdrew support for past Menteri Besar, Shukri Ramli, triggering a leadership crisis.
01:45Shukri later resigned citing health reasons before Versato's Abu Bakar Hamzah took over as Menteri Besar.
01:54Versato has also faced defections in the state with leaders from its Kangar and Padang Besar divisions among those who
02:02subsequently left the party.
02:04Some joining Wawasan.
