00:00And I really just want to commend Council Member Kurtz on her bravery for coming out and joining this and
00:07kicking me while I'm down two weeks after this has happened.
00:10I've been working and struggling with what I need to say. I am a Mexican, an East LA Mexican, raised
00:21to be proud of who I am and where I came from.
00:25I stand with Council Member Meeks in demanding an expedited investigation.
00:34If the allegations are shown to be correct, I will also ask for the mayor's resignation.
00:42I have called for an independent investigation.
00:45We have all are mandated by the state to have an independent investigation and this process is going to play
00:53out.
00:53I welcome an independent investigation.
00:55I need this independent investigation to clear my name.
01:00And I really welcome it because that is what a democracy is all about.
01:05You are innocent until you are proven guilty.
