A 58-year-old father has publicly disowned his eldest son over a decade-long gambling habit that he says has repeatedly dragged the family into trouble with loan sharks.
MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Seri Michael Chong said his department had received about 300 loan-shark complaints so far this year, matching the total for all of 2025.
