00:00and the Colts. Normally we wait
00:02until Friday to scout the opponent and we'll circle
00:04back, but I've been saying this
00:06to you guys the last couple days in show meetings.
00:08I don't know what the Colts are. Who are the Colts?
00:10I thought they were terrible
00:11and then I re-watched their game with the Texans
00:14last night and it was pretty good
00:16and they feel a lot like Washington
00:18where for two weeks they look like
00:20one thing, then in week three they look like another
00:22thing, and maybe the sample size is too
00:24small, but I want to get more info.
00:26So, we're going to do that on the Rude
00:28guest hotline right now from Jake
00:30Query, who covers the Colts in
00:32Indianapolis. Let's scout the opponent.
00:46Middays, 107.5 the fan
00:48in Indianapolis. Jake, you're on in D.C.
00:50How are you? You know, I
00:52am well, and first off, let me say
00:54I was delighted to hear
00:56Flock of Seagulls. I ran in the
00:58background there just before I came on. That's
01:00one of the great bands of all time.
01:02Well, that will warm our producer, Darius, his heart.
01:04He lives for the once every
01:06several weeks compliment from a guest about
01:08the song coming into their segment. He's all about it.
01:10Do they have enough breadth of catalog to
01:12be considered one of the great bands of all time?
01:14Their better song,
01:16their better song is, I think it's
01:18called Interspace Love Song. What's it called?
01:20But that's their,
01:22Iran is their biggest hit, but their second
01:24best song. And then after that, to be honest
01:26with you, it's kind of like trying to find
01:28offensive highlights for the Colts or the
01:30Commanders after that.
01:31It's a little marking.
01:32You know, you're still trying to figure it out.
01:34But Iran is something that the
01:36Colts, hopefully,
01:37in their thought, are going to be able to do
01:40in London, but we shall see.
01:42Because Jonathan Taylor is probably the
01:44biggest weapon, and that's where everything
01:45kind of centers around.
01:46Yeah, the Commanders have actually
01:48been exceptional at stopping the run.
01:50It's the one thing they have done
01:52in all three games consistently on either
01:54side of the ball.
01:55At a 29% rate,
01:57they were stuffing teams for one or fewer
02:00yards coming into this week.
02:01And then the Seahawks, who run it well,
02:03ran 17 times for sub-40 yards.
02:05And that's what gives me hope in this
02:07matchup. It feels to me like Indianapolis
02:10really commits to trying to run the football.
02:12And I like that, because Washington can't
02:14cover anybody.
02:15And I feel like every run at this point is
02:17a gift from the heavens.
02:19Well, listen, I think
02:20first off, and kidding aside,
02:22thanks for having me on, I do think that
02:24this is an enigmatic matchup from both
02:26sides, right? Because we kind of don't know
02:29the same situation
02:30here in Indianapolis. I'm not sure who exactly
02:32the Colts are, because
02:34they were absolutely trucked in week
02:36one against Baltimore, but the Ravens,
02:38they got a lot of weapons, right? And then
02:40you're still trying to figure out just how
02:41good teams really are. They went into Arrowhead,
02:44and they played well in Arrowhead, but then they
02:46allowed the homes too much time at the end of the game.
02:48And I don't know how good Houston truly is,
02:50which is the Colts' lone win, but the reality
02:52is this. Offensively speaking,
02:54going into the year, it was thought that the
02:57Colts were going to try to stretch defenses
02:58by using Alec Pierce and getting Tyler Warren
03:01kind of as that guy in that soft zone
03:04in the middle area, and then Jonathan Taylor
03:06with their running game and kind of the mix
03:07of all of it. Alec Pierce is now out,
03:09obviously. Tyler Warren had better numbers
03:13against Houston, but was still fairly limited.
03:15They're not able to really stretch the field
03:17with Tyler Warren, which I think they thought
03:18they were going to be able to do at the tight end set.
03:20And Josh Downs has kind of become their wildcard
03:23factor and bailout throws
03:26for Daniel Jones. So you guys know Daniel Jones
03:28well from his days in the NFC East. He had three
03:30fumbles, lost two of them against Houston,
03:33and that's that kind of skeleton
03:35in the closet that you're worried about
03:37if you're the Colts as to whether or not
03:38that form of Daniel Jones returns.
03:40Well, Daniel Jones, his entire career
03:42basically has been made against Washington.
03:43He has been unbelievable against Washington,
03:46and I think he played well against like
03:48either the Browns or somebody else
03:50that was 1-15.
03:50Big playoff game against the Vikings.
03:52But this could be interesting
03:53because it was always as a Giant.
03:55He has not shredded them as a Colt.
03:56So we haven't had a chance to test it.
03:57So that's what I wanted to get to
03:58is how has he played without the running
04:01game getting going to this point?
04:03You know, he's been effective.
04:04I mean, a year ago, it's really interesting
04:06in trying to assess Daniel Jones as a Colt
04:08because a year ago, he was outstanding
04:10for the first half of the year
04:11when the Colts got out to a surprising
04:138-2 record.
04:14But realistically, I thought he started
04:16to regress a little bit,
04:18and then he had the injury against Jacksonville
04:20late in the year when he had a lower leg injury,
04:22which led to the Achilles.
04:23And so you wonder if a week or two before that,
04:26if the lower leg injury that he was dealing with
04:28wasn't causing him to regress
04:30or was the real Daniel Jones starting to show itself?
04:34Now he comes in.
04:36The fact that he was able to play in week one
04:38and play in effective manner is impressive
04:41considering that he had the Achilles injury
04:43three-quarters of the way through last year.
04:45But I don't think that his durability
04:47is where it was prior to the injury.
04:49You know, the rollouts that he does,
04:52the bootlegs, some of that was designed
04:54to get Tyler Warren going.
04:55He hasn't really been able to do that yet.
04:57So you'll notice he'll go from shotgun
04:59and then still go like two drop steps back.
05:01I think it's because he knows
05:02he doesn't have the wheels
05:04that kind of complemented him prior to the injury.
05:06He may get that back eventually.
05:08That remains to be seen.
05:09But he is an effective thrower.
05:12And they don't try,
05:12Shane Steichen doesn't try to do too much,
05:14at least at this point,
05:16of the deep ball, long ball stuff
05:17because Alec Pierce isn't there.
05:19So I think you're going to see a little bit more of,
05:22and I hate to say it this way
05:23because he's a better player, obviously,
05:25but if you see what Case Keenum did last night
05:27and the fact that Ben Johnson
05:28was kind of orchestrating offensively
05:31to what he knew Keenum could do
05:33to hit the layups and keep in rhythm,
05:34I think that's where they still are
05:36with Daniel Jones at this point.
05:37Jake Query covers the Colts,
05:39107.5 The Fan in Indianapolis
05:42joining us on Grant and Danny.
05:44The last two weeks via the numbers,
05:46and all I got is the box scores here,
05:48they haven't really been able
05:50to get Jonathan Taylor going.
05:51He's run the ball 47 times
05:53for about 160 yards.
05:55So you're talking about like 3.3 a pop
05:59or something like that.
06:00Why haven't they been able to run it better
06:02with one of the best weapons in the league?
06:05I think it's because,
06:06it's a great question,
06:07and I think it's because
06:08and certainly a year ago,
06:09when Daniel Jones went down,
06:13Jonathan Taylor's numbers did as well.
06:14He was married to the threat
06:16of Daniel Jones being able
06:17to spread the ball around.
06:19I think when you don't have
06:20Alec Pierce out there,
06:21then that allows teams to say,
06:23you know what,
06:24at the very least,
06:25maybe we're not going to
06:26completely load the box,
06:27but we know that just
06:29that middle zone
06:30where they're going to try
06:31to get one of their tight ends going
06:32is the only area
06:33we really have to take away.
06:35So I think they've been able
06:36to hone in on Jonathan Taylor,
06:37and Taylor does have
06:39a unique ability.
06:41You know,
06:41a lot of running backs
06:42can hit the hole quickly.
06:43A lot of running backs
06:44can dance around a little bit.
06:47He can do both.
06:48He can dance until something opens.
06:50Then once he gets the hole,
06:51then he can accelerate,
06:52and he has a quick burst out of that.
06:54But I think teams have been loading up
06:56and spying on him enough
06:58that it's been difficult
06:59for them to find
07:00any sort of an avenue
07:01for him to then take off through.
07:03Jake, give me a state of the state
07:04here on Shane Steichen.
07:05Give me sort of the pulse
07:07of the fans and you guys on the air.
07:09Boy, really good question.
07:11I think that people respect
07:13Shane Steichen's offensive ability,
07:14but everybody was told
07:15that he was going to be
07:16this great quarterback whisperer
07:17when he came in, right?
07:18He clearly lost faith
07:20in Anthony Richardson early,
07:21and now Daniel Jones
07:22is kind of that symbiotic nature
07:24of an extension of trust
07:26that Shane Steichen has in him.
07:27I think people think
07:28he's a good offensive mind,
07:30a good quarterback's coach,
07:31but there's a lot of doubt
07:33and a lot of criticism
07:34in Indianapolis here
07:36regarding his late-game decisions
07:37and his clock management.
07:39His clock management
07:39has been very questionable,
07:41and oftentimes
07:42when the arrows are flying,
07:43I think he hastens himself
07:45into the wrong call.
07:47So preparation-wise,
07:49I will predict you this in England.
07:51The Colts will come out
07:52on their first drive
07:53and probably look extremely sharp.
07:55He designs it down
07:56to 15 or 20 plays
07:57to start the game
07:58from based on scouting
08:00what opponents
08:00typically give up,
08:02but then as the game goes on
08:03and teams make adjustments,
08:05I think the Colts
08:06have a difficult time
08:07adjusting back to that.
08:09So oftentimes,
08:09the Colts start fast,
08:11and if you can weather
08:12that storm with them offensively,
08:14then they slow things down,
08:15and I think that's been something
08:16that he's been critiqued for.
08:18Jake, in 1984
08:19at Allisonville Elementary School,
08:21when you finished
08:22the runner-up
08:23and the spelling bee,
08:24what word did you get out on?
08:25That's still under appeal,
08:27actually.
08:29I was missed on car,
08:30I was bounced on car fare
08:32because I went C-A-R-F-A,
08:34and then I thought
08:35of the movie
08:37Breaking Away
08:38where the guy
08:38was selling cars
08:39and there were flags
08:40and everything,
08:40and I went I-R.
08:41Oh.
08:42I mean,
08:42a terrible error,
08:43and I mean,
08:44somewhat excusable
08:45in fifth grade,
08:46but Jody Scheer
08:47then had to spell
08:48car hop for the win,
08:50and I mean,
08:51car fare versus car hop.
08:53I'm not saying car fare
08:53is a tremendous challenge,
08:55but car hop,
08:55really,
08:57so it's under appeal,
08:58but every year
09:00when I see Jody Scheer,
09:01when I run into her,
09:02I have to remind her
09:03that the trophy still
09:05someday may fall.
09:06And how long
09:07will the appeal go?
09:07I would imagine
09:08there's got to be
09:09a hearing coming up
09:09because that was 1984.
09:11Well,
09:12I mean,
09:12literally,
09:13there's at least
09:13one person on the planet
09:14that still considers
09:15this within appeal,
09:16so as long as that person
09:17Right,
09:18that's alive,
09:18yeah.
09:19I see.
09:20Yeah,
09:21the appeal goes
09:22as long as you say
09:23the appeal goes.
09:24The Colts came to Indianapolis
09:25in the same year,
09:26so as long as the Colts
09:27are in Indianapolis,
09:28the 84 Allison Mill Elementary
09:29School spelling bee
09:30is considered to be
09:32in appeal.
09:33I'll put it that way.
09:34I like that.
09:35Defensively,
09:36through two games,
09:37I don't remember the numbers,
09:38but it was 700-some yards
09:39allowed,
09:40and,
09:41you know,
09:41the Colts looked like
09:42they were on their way
09:43to shattering some records
09:44for ineptitude
09:46defensively.
09:46They buttoned it up
09:47against the Texans,
09:48and the tough thing
09:49early in the season,
09:50and you pointed this out,
09:51is we don't really know
09:52who's good and who's bad.
09:52We think that's a really good
09:53win against Houston,
09:54but heck,
09:55we could get to the end
09:56of the year
09:56and they're 6-11
09:57and they just don't have it,
09:59so it's not that good,
10:00but,
10:00you know,
10:01they gave up 75 points
10:02in those first two games.
10:04Did they show something
10:05that gives you some hope
10:06that they're back defensively?
10:10What they showed
10:11was the ability
10:12to allow the Houston Texans
10:14offense onto the field,
10:15right,
10:15because Houston
10:16at this point,
10:16I mean,
10:17C.J. Stroud,
10:17I love C.J. Stroud
10:18as a ball placement specialist,
10:20but their offense
10:21has just looked inept.
10:22DeForest Buckner
10:23has looked really,
10:24considering that he's
10:25come up injury
10:26for Indianapolis,
10:26it's remarkable
10:27what he's done,
10:28but he's their lone
10:29pass rush guy,
10:29and he's not supposed
10:30to even be
10:31their pass rush guy.
10:33They have no linebackers,
10:34the Colts,
10:35none.
10:35C.J. Allen was drafted
10:36as their first draft pick
10:37in the second round.
10:39They didn't have
10:39a first rounder
10:40because they traded it
10:41for Sauce Gardner,
10:42and C.J. Allen
10:43hadn't even been
10:43on the field.
10:44I mean,
10:44he can't get on the field,
10:45so they're hurting
10:46in that regard.
10:47What they're doing,
10:48and I'm sure Washington
10:49has had this,
10:50this will sound familiar
10:51to you guys probably,
10:52where you have veterans
10:53that are brought in
10:54as insurance policies,
10:56and then all of a sudden
10:57you realize you're having
10:57to cash in your insurance
10:59too early,
10:59and they're guys
11:00that are having to start
11:01for you because
11:02younger guys
11:03haven't developed.
11:04That's where they are,
11:05so they have
11:05no linebacking core.
11:06They do have good corners,
11:08and Shavarius Ward
11:09was banged up,
11:09but he's back now.
11:10Sauce Gardner
11:11on the other side.
11:12Justin Wally,
11:13who's their nickel,
11:14is in his second year,
11:15but really is first
11:16because he was hurt last year,
11:17and that's who Washington
11:18should go after repeatedly
11:20because Wally has yet
11:21to get his footing.
11:22He was absolutely abused
11:24in week one,
11:25found a little bit
11:26of stability in week two,
11:27but I would,
11:28if I'm Washington
11:29and they're asking me,
11:30I would go at Justin Wally
11:31as much as you can.
11:32Jake,
11:33what did you guys think
11:33of this club
11:34before the season started?
11:35Like,
11:36where did you have them
11:36pegged in the division
11:37and kind of in the hierarchy
11:38or the AFC?
11:39Well,
11:40the beauty is the AFC South,
11:41right?
11:42I mean,
11:42if you can't be NFC South,
11:43you might as well
11:44be in the AFC South,
11:45but in Jacksonville,
11:46I think is probably
11:47going to win the division,
11:48assuming that everyone
11:49stays healthy,
11:50but I think the overwhelming
11:53consensus was that
11:54realistically,
11:55this was a team
11:56that low end,
11:57seven wins,
11:58high end,
11:59maybe 10 or 11,
12:01and get in as a wild card
12:03and then probably go
12:04one weekend
12:06of the playoffs.
12:07The big storyline here
12:08is Chris Ballard's
12:10in his 10th year.
12:10They've won a divisional game.
12:12They have not won
12:13the division,
12:14or excuse me,
12:15one playoff game.
12:15They've not won
12:16a divisional title
12:18in 10 years,
12:19and every other team
12:20in the division
12:21has won at least twice
12:22since they won
12:22their last one.
12:23So in that regard,
12:25I think there's a lot
12:26of looking around
12:27just like,
12:27what's going on here?
12:29And he's in the final
12:31year of his deal
12:31as the general manager,
12:32and they need a huge
12:34step this year.
12:35But I think people
12:36are realistic
12:37that that probably
12:37doesn't happen.
12:38What is your pie chart
12:40for your show
12:41like typically
12:42in Indy
12:44about what you're
12:45talking about?
12:46So in other words,
12:47Colts versus,
12:48I don't know if you guys
12:49talk like Indiana Fever
12:51and Kaitlin Clark,
12:52but like what makes
12:53up your pie chart?
12:55Really good question.
12:56About 78% of it
12:57is usually spelling
12:59B appeals.
13:00Yes.
13:00Yep.
13:00Very important.
13:01First three hours.
13:02Block of Seagulls,
13:0312%.
13:04No.
13:04I would say Colts
13:05and NFL
13:07probably 75% to 80%,
13:09which is funny
13:11because,
13:11you know,
13:12you have the defending
13:12national champion
13:13in college football
13:14in Indiana.
13:15Right.
13:15Right here,
13:16you know,
13:16in everybody around.
13:17I mean,
13:18IU's huge,
13:18but it has not been,
13:20I mean,
13:20people are just now
13:21figuring out that
13:22they're supposed to be
13:23rabid Indiana college
13:24football fans
13:25because they literally
13:26have been so bad
13:27for so long.
13:29So the NFL,
13:30and I'm sure the same
13:31is true with you guys,
13:32dominates all of it.
13:33And then during
13:34basketball season,
13:35once we get past
13:36Thanksgiving,
13:37depending on where
13:37the Colts are,
13:38the Pacers become
13:39pretty big as well.
13:40Then you probably get
13:4160-40 until football
13:43season is over with.
13:44But the fever
13:45are mixed in.
13:46Kaitlin Clark,
13:46certainly in the summertime,
13:48is a big storyline.
13:49And right now,
13:50tonight,
13:50we'll see what happens
13:51because if the fever
13:52lose,
13:53their season's over
13:54and that will certainly
13:55generate some conversation
13:56as to where they go.
13:57But there's no doubt,
13:58I don't know that the NFL
13:59is still the 800-pound gorilla,
14:01but it's like 798 pounds.
14:03Well,
14:04the reason I asked
14:05and I wonder,
14:06I mean,
14:06Kaitlin Clark is such
14:07a massive national star
14:09that like from a local
14:10standpoint in Indianapolis,
14:12I wonder where she'd be at.
14:14If there's a Mount Rushmore
14:15of most interesting people
14:17that people want to hear
14:18about in sports,
14:18is she on that right now?
14:20I would think so.
14:21She is,
14:22but here's what's interesting.
14:24I feel like she's almost
14:26a bigger national star
14:27than local one.
14:28And it's a different era.
14:30I mean,
14:31you know,
14:31I covered the entire
14:31Peyton Manning era.
14:32I covered the majority
14:33of the Reggie Miller era.
14:35I covered the Andrew Luck era.
14:37And in those,
14:38with those players,
14:39they were here at a time
14:40and they're also male
14:42versus female.
14:43So from security standpoint,
14:44it's probably a little different.
14:45But,
14:45you know,
14:46they had local TV shows
14:47and they were doing
14:48local commercials.
14:49But that's an era
14:50that's kind of bygone anyway.
14:52So it almost still feels
14:54like she's a national star
14:55that's just on like
14:56a six-month loan
14:57to Indianapolis each year.
14:59And that's starting
15:00to fade a little bit more
15:01towards her being known
15:02as an Indiana Fever player
15:04versus an Iowa player.
15:06But I mean,
15:06even today,
15:07she's all over the news
15:08in your guys' backyard
15:09because of Iowa, right?
15:10And what happened in Iowa.
15:11So she's no doubt
15:12she's a huge star.
15:13No question about it.
15:14But she's a transcendent star
15:16that I think shines brighter
15:18outside of Indianapolis
15:19than any other player
15:20that's currently in the area.
15:21After you guys won
15:22this past weekend,
15:23talking about the Colts,
15:24what was sort of the feeling
15:25looking ahead to Washington?
15:27Because I kind of made the case,
15:28Jake,
15:28that, you know,
15:29after Washington pulled off
15:30that miracle against Seattle
15:31that nobody saw coming,
15:33we're now going,
15:33we're going to beat the Colts,
15:35we're going to beat the Giants,
15:36and we're going to the bye week
15:37at 500.
15:37Like all the season
15:38is kind of back on.
15:39I imagine it was kind of
15:40a breath of fresh air
15:41for you guys,
15:42you know,
15:42post-Texans win,
15:43but what was the look ahead
15:44to Washington going,
15:45hey, this one's winnable, right?
15:47I think cautious optimism
15:49because of the fact that
15:51we don't know
15:52whether or not Houston
15:54is really that bad,
15:56and we don't know really
15:57who Washington is.
15:59I mean,
15:59it's one thing,
16:00you know,
16:01the commanders and Colts
16:02are probably in the same category
16:04in the fact that they border
16:05between obscure
16:07and enigmatic
16:08to the opposite conference,
16:09right?
16:10Like how often are you talking
16:11about the Colts in D.C.?
16:12And with all due respect,
16:13the same is true here
16:14of how often do you really
16:15talk about the commanders here
16:16other than Tara McLaurin
16:18who's from here,
16:19but so I think that there is
16:21the thought of,
16:23again,
16:23a guarded optimism.
16:24Hey,
16:24this is great.
16:25They won a game.
16:27Let's see what they can do
16:28in London,
16:28but then there's all
16:29the excitement about being
16:30overseas for fans
16:31that are going in,
16:32et cetera,
16:32and oh yeah,
16:33that's right.
16:34They're playing the commanders.
16:35Well,
16:35what do we know about Washington?
16:37What do we know about,
16:38you know,
16:38how good they can be
16:39at the quarterback position
16:40and what their weapons are?
16:42And I think just that
16:43uncertainty leads it to,
16:45it almost feels like
16:46one of these two teams
16:47is going to,
16:48we're going to know
16:49a lot better about them
16:50if they were to get a win
16:51and then feel better about it.
16:53But even still,
16:54it feels like Monday you go,
16:56I don't know though,
16:57did they really beat
16:57somebody good?
16:58I mean,
16:58either way,
16:59I think you can say that.
17:00It might not be a loser
17:01leaves town game,
17:02but it's close too.
17:03I mean,
17:04this,
17:04like the team that's one
17:06and three is in big,
17:07big trouble.
17:08Both right now
17:09are benefiting from divisions
17:10that they can kind of
17:11hang in possibly though,
17:13I guess too.
17:14Jake,
17:15best of luck
17:15at getting that trophy back,
17:16dude.
17:17I think you deserve it.
17:18I'll be honest with you.
17:19A car hop.
17:19I'll let Joey Shearer know
17:21that I've got an appeal panel
17:22in the nation's capital.
17:23Exactly.
17:23We're going to go take this to,
17:25where's the Supreme Court, Danny?
17:27Is it right down the road?
17:27It's right down the road.
17:28It's real close.
17:28Yeah,
17:28we're right here.
17:29It's closer to you
17:30than it is for me.
17:31So have a hat.
17:32We're going to get over there
17:33and take it to them.
17:34I'll tell them
17:35it's a fair ruling
17:36and I'll even spell it
17:37F-A-I-R this time correctly.
17:39there you go.
17:40You've learned your lesson.
17:41All right, guys.
17:42Jake,
17:42thank you, buddy.
17:43Appreciate you.
17:43All right, guys.
17:44There's Jake Query
17:45who covers the Colts,
17:46107.5,
17:48the fan in Indianapolis.
17:50Good conversation there.
17:51I think it's a really
17:53similar team to Washington.
17:54I mean,
17:54this by no means
17:55is a game
17:56that they'll definitively win.
17:57They're not even favored.
17:58They're going to be underdogs.
17:59It's very winnable.
18:00It's kind of a toss-up type game,
18:02but I think
18:03that he's on to something.
18:05The winner's season
18:06is in a good place.
18:07The loser is in big trouble.
18:09So one of the things
18:10we always do
18:11is if we follow
18:12our own axioms,
18:13okay,
18:14week one is always weird.
18:15The Ravens beat
18:16the brakes off of them
18:17and that's kind of colored
18:17our entire impression
18:18of the Colts,
18:19I think,
18:19this year,
18:20right,
18:20where they gave up
18:21500 plus yards,
18:2241 points.
18:23It was 41-23
18:24and it wasn't that close.
18:25The Ravens destroyed them,
18:27right?
18:27So you look around the league,
18:28a bunch of weird stuff happened.
18:29So play this game with me.
18:31Throw out week one
18:32for everybody,
18:33good or bad.
18:33You're probably not that good.
18:34You're probably not that bad.
18:36Here's what's happened since.
18:37They lost an overtime
18:38to Kansas City
18:39and they beat Houston.
18:41That's not a,
18:42these guys stink
18:43and can't get out
18:43of their own way.
18:44I saw they gave up
18:45the yardage total
18:46to Kansas City too.
18:47They couldn't stop anybody.
18:48But this is a
18:50Jekyll and Hyde kind of thing
18:51and you got sort of
18:52the same deal for Washington.
18:53You got a two-week sample
18:54of a defense
18:55that couldn't stop anybody
18:56against Dallas
18:57and one that was
18:58creating chaos
18:59against Seattle.
19:00Pretty similar, right?
19:02They're feeding
19:02out of the same trough
19:03these groups.
19:04Agreed.
19:04I do also generally
19:06when I think about games
19:07and how much
19:08should I lose sleep
19:09and how worried
19:10should I be,
19:10a big factor for me
19:12is generally coaching
19:13and quarterback play
19:15and neither is special
19:17that you're going up
19:18against this week.
19:19I think that's fair.
19:20This is not a Patrick Mahomes
19:22or, you know,
19:23Josh Allen matchup
19:24where those guys
19:25are going to win
19:26at a 70% clip
19:27in their career
19:28or whatever.
19:29it's Shane Steichen
19:30who's on a seat
19:30as warm as Dan Quinn
19:31and it's Daniel Jones,
19:33right?
19:34So I'm not boiling it
19:35down to just that.
19:36It's obviously 53
19:37against 53
19:38but that's part of it
19:40for me
19:40where the game's going
19:41to be right there
19:42to be had.
19:42It reminds me a lot
19:43of Miami a year ago
19:44when you were in Madrid.
19:46The game they would lose
19:46in overtime
19:47with Mariota playing
19:48but they could have
19:49won that game
19:50seven, eight different ways
19:51and found a way
19:53not to.
19:54Quarter till caps
19:54coming up at 545.
19:55We'll have tickets
19:56for somebody
19:57to go to the home opener
19:58next week against the Penguins.
20:00Also, Boone Jenner
20:01on the show at 545 today
20:03right here on Grant and Danny.
