02:06there but as a run blocker he was pretty good um it's just the pass blocking is never consistent
02:12enough um and and a couple years ago when he first got paid he was great as a run blocker

02:19zach martin next to him and he could just kind of guide guys upfield all right you don't have to

02:23with a lot of power just push guys upfield and if you can do that consistently you can win um
02:28he's just
02:29not doing that nearly as frequently anymore he's just starting to get beat a lot more it was definitely
02:35holding on the george pickens conversion 100 on terrence terrence steel did hold okay and it was
02:40i mean it was like he basically had somebody in a headlock like around their neck and so it just
02:46it was bad and then that puts them obviously they failed to get the conversion this will be his last
02:50year you go right tackle shopping in the offseason or decide what game this year to put in broderick
02:57jones terrence steel will be replaced i believe by midseason so steel was not as bad as i thought

03:05part of the reason the run game stalled out tj bass was not good uh and i didn't i didn't

03:10a strong opinion on bass watching it live but he had one block i know they you know highlighted him
03:15on the tv broadcast there's a huge gaping hole for uh for javante watching it back there were he was
03:22frequently the problem at the point of attack that was kind of stifling up the run game for them as
03:27the game went along because remember the first couple drives it was like oh you can get whatever
03:31you want and then it started like okay two yards no yards three yards and that was a lot that

03:36of bass um i will say guyton had like four different times i feel like where he was he was
03:43pancaking somebody on the ground and he would not stop talking after every play to trey hendrickson
03:49they were they were in each other's face from first snap until end of the game so how did the
03:55hendrickson straight up matchups overall look fine yeah what did you see from trey like i wish we had
04:01that it was it was a because i didn't really notice him too much in the game it's what you'd
04:07expect in terms of a a battle between what we now consider two good players like hendrickson won
04:13some of them guyton won a lot of them give me your uh bff grade on guyton for the year

08:05offensive lineman that was because of bollard like yes he did run into the back of his offensive
08:09line but it was bollard forcing him there yeah um so bollard made a really good play there and
08:14boy watching that back it's to me really impressive the way downs exploded from the spot that he was to
08:21get into the backfield as quickly as he did that's the people with the cowboys will tell you that
08:26the timed speed and stuff like that obviously is not like ridiculous with caleb downs it's one of the
08:31things that some people would have been concerned with it's one of the things dawson has been
08:35concerned with is is the timed athleticism but like the reactive gameplay athleticism the way that
08:42he he can just fire is really really impressive and he gets back there in a hurry um but jonathan

17:17didn't call slant on the goal line especially with two playing heavy outside baltimore had a hard time
17:23covering three when he ran slants the only advice i'd give dak is to take control in certain moments
17:28especially when he's had success in familiar types of situations so that is des weighing in off our show
17:34with some post-hut clarity himself can't cover either one of these receivers on a slant
17:39just can't do it yeah now the only what i would say they they probably guard typically in those sort
17:46of situations you don't want to run slants into safety coverage because of the the new england effect
17:52the super bowl effect where there's a defender that can jump it and then immediately you're putting
17:57the ball at risk i think what i expect schottenheimer to say today is dak should have thrown the ball
18:03as hard as he could right at the front pylon and you can make a throw there that doesn't get

18:10you i've seen plenty of throws there where it's your guy gets it or nobody gets it yep instead of
18:16not even giving a chance you you got 30 million dollar receivers and a 60 million dollar quarterback

18:34and hopefully dak this takes over in those situations hopefully schottenheimer just doesn't

18:44secondary about what you should have done on fourth down um fourth down i agree with bobby now they
18:49should have gone for it in the moment i was like kick i find because i thought the third down

18:54so broken no that was actually designed yeah that was the intent and i wish they would have i wish
