00:06Shashi Tharoor had suggested that Congress should organize something around Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary.
00:12Now Kharkir turned to Tharoor and asked whether he would actually be present if the party organized such an event
00:19or whether they would see him only on social media platforms like X.
00:23Now remember, just for context, this is not the first time Mr. Kharkir has taken a dig at Shashi Tharoor
00:28at a previous Congress Working Committee meeting.
00:30The Congress President had taken a wild jibe at Mr. Tharoor saying that good-looking netas
00:35who are popular on television and write articles in newspapers should have taken up the Shuddhi Karan issue
00:41with the same spirit as well.
00:44So all is not well over there between Mr. Kharkir or perhaps the top brass of the Congress party and
00:50Mr. Shashi Tharoor.
00:52But let me go back to Moshmi to get some more details on this.
00:54Moshmi, not really the first time, but help me understand this.
00:58Does this really happen in the presence of all leaders that this very open banter is going on?
01:04Or is it a banter really? Is it a snide remark?
01:07Is Mr. Tharoor taking it in good spirits as they say?

01:16And perhaps the elephant in the room is not the elephant in the room anymore.
01:20Everybody is very vocally, visibly aware of the differences, the increasing differences that Shashi Tharoor has with his own party.
01:34See, there is of course a lot of history and chemistry to it, but I think that this was casual

01:40It was where everybody was in splits over what Mr. Kharkir said.
01:45Remember now Mr. Kharkir is known for his beauty remarks, his sense of humour, his jovial attitude and mincing no

01:53You know, of course, many of his remarks have heavy political overtones.
01:58And the previous CWC meeting, that was a very, very heavily loaded statement by Mr. Kharkir because the Shrubhikaran Rao
02:06was at the centre of the discussion
02:09and he had raked it up saying that nobody supported it.
02:13But Mr. Kharkir, I think it was more of a casual banter because Kharkir is at pains, trying to roll
02:21in motor mouth leaders.
02:23Mrs. Kharkir again has appreciated and praised the foreign policy of Prime Minister Modi or taken a stand that is
02:30divergent to the party.
02:32And that has caused a lot of headaches to the party.
02:34And thereby, you know, I think Mr. Kharkir, who has shared a contest with Mr. Tharoor as far as the
02:41Congress President's post is concerned there,
02:44I think would not leave that occasion to the casual banter and the dig.
02:48But it was in a light-hearted manner that Mr. Kharkir would point that out.
