01:10In fact, taking a jive that maybe another superstar is joining politics.
01:14What more can you tell us about what's happening?
01:17Well, in fact, the DMK's member of parliament, Kanimori Karanidi,
01:20was campaigning in Dharapuram when she made that statement.
01:24In fact, amid all the buzz and rumours about actor Dhanush's possible entry into politics,
01:30Kanimori has sort of given a lot more weightage to all these rumours
01:35by saying that Vijay has so far not really given 4,000 rupees for unemployed graduates,
01:41but instead, actor Dhanush has entered politics.
01:46And why did she bring actor Dhanush here?
01:48Because unemployed graduates, the term which we use in Tamil is called
01:51Vaila Illa Pattakari, which is in fact a film.
01:54One of the most popular, iconic films that actor Dhanush has done.
01:58There are two parts to this film, which was a massive, massive hit here in Tamil Nadu
02:02and all over India.
02:03So, she's sort of invoking that film and using Dhanush to sort of hit out at actor Vijay,
02:10the Chief Minister Vijay, saying that till now Vijay's old promises that he made before
02:15coming to power have not been fulfilled.
02:17Take, for example, the 4,000 rupees for unemployed men graduates or six cylinders per families
02:23per year, which has been reduced to just three cylinders and 2,500 for every woman head
02:28of household.
02:29So far, only 1,000 rupees is being given, but Vijay has promised 2,000 rupees.
02:34It's still awaited more clarity on when the amount is going to be increased, but Vijay
02:39has sought some more time from the public in order to fulfill all these whole promises.
02:43But it's been four months now, four to five months now, ever since TVK government came
02:47to power and therefore, the DMK, they're questioning as to why is it that all those
02:51whole promises that you made have not been fulfilled yet.
