00:06by Few I'm going to be talking with you about a subject that affected me most of my life
00:12and made me the person I am today.
00:15In October 2008 I lost one of the most important people in my life.
00:20Very few know who he is but to me he meant the world.
00:23The day he left was the day a part of me died that I would never be able to regain
00:28and it
00:29simply made me give up on this world for a very, very long time.
00:34All I would do is stay in bed and wallow in grief until I passed out on my pillow.
00:38But after some time I realized that he was in a better place than we were.
00:49Not necessarily a religious place but a better place than this world.
00:56I'll never regain the part of me that was lost when he died.
00:59But I'm here to tell you to never give up on life, no matter how hard it may get.
01:05If you're still alive there's a reason you're here.
01:08It could be because you're here for someone else, it could be because you're here to change
01:13something.
01:14But you're here for a reason.
01:16Even in the darkest moments there's a light that not even death can fade out.
01:21I've seen too many good people give their life for no reason and I want to see an end
01:26to it.
01:27I know this world can be harsh and it may seem uninhabitable at times, but there is always
01:34going to be people here that need you.
01:38Don't take for granted the life you have.
01:41Instead use the kindness and caring in your heart to make it a better life for someone else.
01:48Each one of us has a purpose here and I know you have a purpose too.
01:54So I urge you to please reach out to someone you see cloaking their emotion and shadow.
02:00Be the person to prevent suicide and self-harm.
02:04Even if you don't know that person, one moment can and will change a life.
02:11We can all make this world a better place, even if it's the smallest change.
