00:05So the Broncos beat the Rams 30-26.
00:08It was a thriller.

00:13The Rams had this game in their hands.
00:15I mean, they were up 16-0 at the half.
00:18They were up 16-0 at the half.
00:20They were in complete control.
00:22Denver couldn't do anything.
00:23They barely moved the ball.
00:25Denver did.
00:26And four quarters later, Bo Nix and the Broncos have a 30-26 win.
00:31So, John, how did they let this happen?
00:34Because it feels like the Rams have done this over the past couple years.
00:40I feel like they came out a second-half team, went second-half on you.
00:44The Broncos have been a second-half team since Sean Payne and Bo Nix have arrived in Denver.
00:50And what they did was very Denver Bronco-y in their tenure.
00:55I didn't see them do anything I haven't seen done before.
00:58I thought in the second half, they just came out and they took the momentum.
01:03They came out really feeling like they didn't play their best football in the first half.
01:07And they came out and they really took it to them in the second half.
01:10They started on the defensive end.
01:12They started getting stops.
01:13They came out with energy.
01:14And then they put points on the board.
01:15And when they saw that first touchdown go up, that building lit up.
01:20That felt like, ironically, that felt like home court advantage.
01:24What you rarely see actually impose itself in an NFL game, because these guys are professionals.
01:30They play so many football games all over the world at this point.
01:33That, in the second half of that game, that felt like the home crowd mattered.
01:37When they got that eight points, especially on that two-point conversion catch,
01:41it felt like something was happening in there.
01:43And they continued that momentum and continued that momentum.
01:46The Rams fought back.
01:47The Rams gave a good effort.
01:49It wasn't like they played two bad halves of football.
01:52The Rams probably played about, I would say, 12 minutes of bad football in a 60-minute game.
01:59And that got them beat.

03:25Twice within a span of, what, eight minutes in the third quarter?
03:30I mean, the Broncos had basically the ball the whole third quarter.
03:36I thought, I just thought that they played, the Rams played a bad 12 minutes of football.
03:41And that's what cost them the game.
03:42Okay, you know, great.
03:44But you can't do that against a good team.
03:46No, you can't.
03:47You can't throw pick sixes.
03:48You can't, like-
03:49Another thing.
03:49They just, but then you come right back and you throw a bomb, you take the lead back.
03:54Then what happens?
03:56There were points, there were points in the game.
03:58I thought that the, one of the things that I was waiting to be like, oh, that's bad clock
04:02management at the end of the game when the Broncos were driving and then things kept happening
04:07and the clock was just ticking, ticking, ticking, ticking, ticking, ticking down, ticking down.
04:10And the Broncos kept finding ways to have the ball but not score.
04:14I'm like, this isn't even bad clock management.
04:17Like, this is just the circumstances in which the game was presenting itself.
04:21I just, I thought it was a, I thought it was a well-played game in the second half by
04:24both teams.
04:25I thought the Rams played a good full game.
04:29You just got to close the door.
04:30And I think some of this energy towards what happened to them defensively is because you get Aaron Donald back.
04:36And you have these corners.
04:38And so even if without Miles Garrett, you still are expecting to kind of be able to close the door
04:44on some of these games.
04:45And they just, they just didn't do it.
04:48And this game in particular, this is why you bought these corners in, not to get cooked.
04:53This is why you brought these, because this felt like last year.
04:55I think why a lot of people are frustrated in that, that follow the Rams, that, that are fans of

05:00because there was, it wasn't, I wouldn't say promise, but there was this notion, okay.
05:06That, Hey, we brought in corners.

05:09Fans secondary.

05:35The defense was not going to cut it from last year and through three weeks.
