01:03So, the gold ring scheme will be launched by the Chief Minister today.
01:06Tell us more about the scheme.
01:07What is the aim of the TVK government?
01:09And who all will be eligible for this ring?
01:12Pramod Madhav, this is a very important and especially scheme that was actually announced
01:16by the Chief Minister, St. Joseph Vijay during the election campaign.
01:19And this is for the time of the time, which means the maternal uncle gold ring scheme
01:24by which one gram of gold coin will be given to children,
01:27to the babies who are born in the state of Tamil Nadu and into an endowment hospital.
01:31As for that particular promise, now he's actually handing over 30 parents' rings
01:36in Madurai Rajaji Hospital.
01:38So, the whole day is planned accordingly.
01:40He will actually reach around 10 a.m. in the morning,
01:42post which he takes almost 16 kilometers to the hospital
01:46and it is expected that he could actually turn into a roadshow.
01:48That's the reason quite a lot of cops have been deployed in the particular area

03:20And 4.41 lakh babies are expected to benefit annually from the scheme.
03:25There will be a unique serial number and tamper-proof pack for the rings that will be given to the
03:31newborns in Tamil Nadu.
03:33So, let us also take a look at Chief Minister Vijay's welfare push,
03:37the other schemes that have been launched by the TVK government.
03:41So, there is a wedding gift scheme in which 8 gram gold coin and a silk saree is given to
03:46the eligible brides
03:47and this costs the state 812 crore rupees.
03:52Then there is Annapurani Super 6 scheme in which 3 free LPG cylinders per year are given to women-led
03:59homes
04:00and this costs the state 4,000 crore rupees.
04:03There is also a free bus travel scheme, free bus travel for women and transgenders in Tamil Nadu.
04:09This costs 6,000 crore rupees and then there is gold rings for newborns which will be launched today by
04:16the Chief Minister.
04:17This will boost the childbirths in government hospitals and the estimated cost of this scheme is around 756 crore rupees
04:24per year.
04:25There is also a Kamaraja breakfast scheme which was launched by the Chief Minister just days ago
04:30and in which there is free school breakfast which is provided for students of classes 1 to 8
04:37and this costs the state around 710 crore rupees.
04:41There is also a Vetri bicycle scheme in which free bicycles are given to class 9 students
04:47and this costs the state around 277 crore rupees.
04:51Then there is also a Vetri laptop scheme in which laptops are provided to college students to bridge the digital
04:59divide
04:59and the cost of this scheme is around 2,000 crore rupees.
