00:23reported that Trump told aides that he expected to resume a bombing campaign against Iran
00:29after the U.S. midterm elections in November. His response comes after Iranian Foreign Minister
00:35Abbas Arachi said on Friday, the strait can be reopened and normal maritime traffic can resume
00:42within seven days if the necessary conditions are met. Arachi added it would be better if an
00:48agreement with Washington were reached before the U.S. midterm elections. The Strait of Hamus has
00:54been at the heart of tensions between Washington and Tehran since late February. Iran effectively
01:01closed the strait after the U.S. and Israel attacked the Islamic Republic and the number of ships passing
01:07through has dropped significantly because of Iranian threats and attacks on vessels in the waterway.
