00:12But it also exists.
00:14And here is what happens if Tennessee beats Texas.
00:21Tennessee jumps Ohio State.
00:27Or everyone is just a total coward, and we really then do need to disband the AP poll.
00:33But just everything I know about these rankings, Dave, says Texas will fall.
00:41They got to stay in front of Ohio State because they beat them.
00:43Even though it was by one at home, they didn't even cover a one-and-a-half-point number.
00:46And Tennessee has to jump Texas because they beat them.
00:49So are you ready for top six teams, seven teams in the country, the Tennessee Volunteers?

01:04The only reason we use the polls is to put a fictitious number in front of them so you and

01:14Tennessee is not a top five team.
01:16I'm not ready for Tennessee to move up there.
01:18I actually was listening to a national show the other night on my way to youth football.
01:22And the two people on the show, no names mentioned, were complaining about the poll because Kentucky was ranked below
01:30Texas A&M.
01:31And I'm like, all right, how many consecutive years are we going to do this where we're like, well, this
01:35doesn't make sense because they beat ABB, but they're ranked below them.
01:40The polls are worthless.
01:42The only thing that matters is what the committee decides at the end of the year.
01:45And the committee is not looking at the AP poll.
01:48I don't know what they're looking at, but they're not looking at that.
01:51That being said, is Tennessee a top five team?
01:54No, they're not.
01:55Can Tennessee beat Texas?
01:56Yeah, they can because I'm not sure Texas is the best team in the country.
01:59And I told you off the top of the show, Texas and Arch Manning have not won anything significant on
02:05the road.
02:05They went two and three last year with both wins in overtime against really bad Kentucky and Mississippi State teams
02:12while losing to Florida, Georgia, and Ohio State.
02:16And by the way, Florida was not a good team last year, and they still lost in Gainesville.
02:20Tennessee can win this game, but then you just got to look for the spot that Tennessee is going to
02:24lose later in the year because they're not as good as beating Texas today would seem.
02:29I think what's – so I guess that's what's tricky for me here, right, is I – so to circle
02:38back, right, why was I in on Tennessee coming into the season as a national title dark horse, right?
02:45I actually thought they had a more manageable schedule than people were making it out because on the schedule, people
02:50go, oh, my gosh, they're hosting Texas, Bama, LSU.
02:54Those are three losses, and then they got a – you know, they could lose at South Carolina.
02:58It's – all of a sudden, you get to game day, and you go, oof, tough to go to Neyland
03:04Stadium, right?
03:06And if I were to ask people in this moment, Texas, Bama, LSU, three home games, do they win one
03:14of them?
03:15Everybody would say yes.
03:17Without any hesitation, they absolutely are winning one.
03:20Are they winning two?
03:21Maybe.
03:22Like, I think the in-the-moment win total of those three games is one and a half.
03:27Now, it is up to this Tennessee team, and it's not a guarantee, to handle business on the road.
03:34But all of a sudden, at Arkansas, oh, okay.
03:39At Vanderbilt, oh, okay.
03:42At South Carolina, oh, okay.
03:45Heck, at Texas A&M.
03:48Yeah, all right.
03:49I'm not sitting here telling people Tennessee are going to go undefeated.
03:52What I am telling people is the Tennessee Volunteers winning nine football games is exactly where I thought they'd be
03:58able to get to.
03:58And in this moment, if they beat Texas today, it would be a shame if they did not get to
04:07nine wins here on this college football season.
04:12On the other side of the field, though, with Texas.
04:16And so I'm going to play the total in this game.
04:18But from a side perspective, I find myself leaning to Texas because I think I am still holding on to
04:24the idea that they are the most talented team in college football.
04:27Yet, today, I think we're going to get an answer to that.
04:30Because everything that Dave said about the Arch and Sark resumes on the road is absolutely real.
04:36And this isn't a team who doesn't still have some tough road tests on schedule.
04:41They're actually on the road in three of their final four games.
04:45Missouri, LSU, and Texas A&M.
04:47And, you know, late season road, whether Texas A&M could be out of it, right?
04:52But they'll probably be up.
04:54They'll probably be more up to host Texas than they will be to host Tennessee, for example.

05:03How good is Texas both sides of the ball?
05:08Because Arch needs to have some success, Dave.
05:10And the defense here is playing a true freshman quarterback who they have to be able to put in some
05:16tough spots.
