00:00In this video, I will show you how to remove shared files in Google Drive.

00:05So I'll be showing you step by step how to remove files and folders that have been shared with you

00:09from your Google Drive.

00:11Whether you want to clean up your drive, remove unwanted shared files, or just simply organise your Google Drive more

00:29So to get started, what you want to do is head over to your Google Drive.

00:33So if you come across to drive.google.com and make sure you're logged into the correct Google account that

00:39you want to delete any shared files from.

00:41Once you've done that, come over to the menu on the left hand side and you're going to see an

00:45option which says shared with me.

00:47Give that a click and this is going to show all the shared files which have been shared with you

00:51on Google Drive.

00:53To delete any of these, all you need to do is find the file or folder that you want to

00:58delete.

00:58So for example, let's go for this one here, come over to the right hand side.

01:02Once you have highlighted the folder or file and click onto the three dots over here, where it says more

01:08actions.

01:09Now, if you have permission, you're going to see the move to trash option, but you can see I don't

01:14have permission to move this to the trash.

01:16So work around for this is if you actually click and hold down your left mouse button, what you can

01:21do is just drag this into the trash icon on the left hand side, which as you can see is

01:26going to remove this file.

01:28And then of course, you can go into your trash and empty it from here if it's not already done

01:32so.

01:33So that is how to remove shared files in Google Drive.
