Kratos existed in Greek mythology long before the video games—but the original was very different.
Born to Pallas and Styx, Kratos was the personification of strength and power. He and his siblings earned a place beside Zeus, and Kratos later became one of the king of the gods’ most relentless enforcers—even helping carry out the punishment of Prometheus.
The original Kratos didn’t fight Zeus. He served him.
