00:13of the European Union where 11 countries are pushing to pause new EU legislation for a year.
00:21Such is the mess that has been created. Indeed, 13 countries in the EU now calling for a deep
00:28cleaning of European laws and saying there that the burdens going on here are out of control and EU
00:36legislation cannot be an end in itself. And they're clearly worried about over-regulation, as ever with
00:42the European Union. If you're in it, you get swept up in it, it gets worse and worse. It's never
00:46going
00:46to change. You have to leave if you don't like it. But you can see here the extent to which
00:51they've
00:51totally lost the plot in the European Union. They're now talking about even more taxes for
00:58citizens and businesses. These would be EU taxes. And you've got the European Council President
01:06Antonio Costa quote this saying, if we don't create new own resources, we need to ask for more money
01:12from the member states. We know that we need to keep the national contributions at a reasonable limit
01:16for this. We need to have a credible basket of new own resources. So they're looking here at plans to
01:23raise an additional 60 billion a year in tax. And don't forget, this is the European Union that wants
01:28a 2 trillion, trillion euro budget. Well, you can see, even from the likes of Germany now, what they make
01:38of this new push. Questioning whether Costa has lost touch with reality. The quote there,
01:45one has to wonder whether Mr. Costa has completely lost touch with reality by now.
01:49Pointing out the national budgets are already under huge pressure. Everyone knows that the sky
01:54isn't the limit. Indeed, the Germans are actually calling for hundreds of billions of euros in cuts
02:00to the European Union budget, that the proposed budget is completely unrealistic and unaffordable.
02:09But I think that gives you an insight into the utter madness going on inside the European Union. And we
