Coal ship crew recounts attack by Iran, family mourns Indian sailor's death

A coal-carrying bulk carrier, MV Cape Dao, was allegedly struck by Iranian missiles off the coast of Oman on Sept 23, killing one crew member and forcing the remaining 27 sailors to abandon ship before they were rescued by the Royal Oman Navy, a family member of the vessel's surviving chief engineer said on Sept 24.  He said at least two missiles hit the vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, destroying the engine room and the engineers' living quarters.
