00:00Well, a very, very serious situation following the Swedish election, that there is an investigation
00:06into possible election fraud in the recent Swedish election. Now, of course, that was a knife-edge
00:15election. At one point, the left-wing opposition had just a one-seat advantage over the governing
00:23right-wing coalition. In the end, you saw the left-wing alliance win, but it was a very narrow
00:29victory there, just a three-seat majority, wafer-thin, 50,000 votes across the whole of Sweden,
00:36separating the two blocks. And it meant that someone who's been Swedish Prime Minister before,
00:42Magdalena Andersson, leader of the Social Democrats, left-wing leader, will again now try and govern
00:48with support on the left. And you can see there is some potential friction there among that
00:55coalition. But I thought it was really telling that Magdalena Andersson, in this big interview
01:01she's given with Politico, instantly talking about the European Union and how pro-EU her government is
01:08going to be. And part of that, apparently, the EU agenda now is to scrap the veto for national
01:15governments to have a veto on EU foreign policy. So essentially, governments, elected governments,
01:22could be swept up into an EU foreign policy they disagree with and want to vote against.
01:27But this new Swedish government will apparently think, well, actually, they should just be ignored.
01:30There'll be a vote on it and you can be outvoted and be swept up on it. But look, in
01:34terms of potential
01:37election fraud, possible election fraud, well, you've seen here an allegation, it seems, is being
01:44looked into. And the key part here is, with such a slim result, this could mean 11 parliamentary seats
01:55in play. So we'll have to wait and see. What we know is it's a preliminary investigation into potential
02:02election fraud. It could, it may not, but it could affect the final results. And what we know is that
02:10an investigation is at an early stage, that no suspects have been identified, and that they
02:15can't go into any details, but that the anti-corruption unit of the police is carrying out the
02:22investigation. So we have to see if anything comes of that or not. I will, of course, keep you updated
