00:09There are things you do your whole life without ever asking yourself why you keep doing them.
00:18In my case, one of them was lugging water bottles around as if I were training for the Olympics.
00:32You go to the supermarket, planning to buy just a few things, and come back with 26 pounds of water,
00:39and then you have to find room for it.
00:41You get used to having it around, then it vanishes, and funnily enough, when you want water again, there's none
00:49left, and the cycle starts all over again.
00:53A while ago, I thought, how much water do I use in the kitchen?
00:59So, I'm going to sit down and think about how many times I use water.
01:04Best use, coffee.
01:06Without coffee in the morning, I'm only at 50%.
01:10Second use, for making tea.
01:12And I haven't even started cooking yet.
01:19Maybe my mistake wasn't drinking too much water, but cooking too much.
01:25So, I needed something that would reduce solids and filter out chlorine, salt, sediment, lead, odors, and much more from
01:32the water.
01:35Thanks to Setasa for sending it to us so we could do this review.
01:40Plus, this version gives us hot and cold water instantly.
01:48I'll give you a great tip.
01:50There's a discount code if you want one of these machines.
01:54And an awesome recipe using the filtered water.
01:58My initial idea was to install an under-sink system.
02:05So, it'll be just as easy to use filtered water as regular tap water.
02:11Life's full of surprises, though.
02:12Turns out my plumbing had this weird elbow down there.
02:17Basically, there was just no way.
02:19Sometimes, you have an idea.
02:21And life makes you give up on it.
02:23But, hey, that made me get the water drop A2.
02:29And it has its perks.
02:31It works great for me because I don't have to change anything in the kitchen.
02:35If you're really into cooking, you'll know that water makes a big difference in recipes.
02:40That's why using a good amount of well-filtered water
02:46makes all the difference.
02:50And if you think desserts with water are only made with gelatin, you are dead wrong.
03:02Today's is one of my favorite creams.
03:07First, dissolve 45 grams of cornstarch, also called cornstarch, in 100 maozebos of ice-cold water.
03:16That is, three heaping tablespoons.
03:19Then stir very well until it's completely dissolved.
03:26Now, 400 ml, or two cups, of very hot water.
03:31We're going to put it in a saucepan over medium heat
03:34and add half a cup of sugar, which is about 100 grams.
03:40The zest of one lemon.
03:45And also, the juice of one lemon.
03:50So it soaks up all the lemon aroma.
03:58Remember that we always mix cornstarch in cold liquid
04:01because the only lumps we accept in this house are cookie chunks.
04:04Now we add the cornstarch mixture.
04:10And we stir gently until this thickens.
04:15Fish.
04:20Now I'm using filtered water for everything.
04:23There are even certain plants that need distilled water, rain water, or this kind of water as well.
04:30So for that little plant I have that eats mosquitoes, I already have water at home.
04:40It's the model that best fit my kitchen and my particular needs.
04:44That doesn't mean it has to be the best option for everyone.
04:48In fact, if you want to take it to the next level and go for a super premium option,
04:53the X12 is the best.
05:00And if you don't want to deal with my issue and can put it under the sink,
05:03I look at the G3 P800.
05:11And if you want to put it under the sink and spend a little less,
05:14the G5 P700A is also pretty good.
05:22But if you're like me where it doesn't fit under your countertop,
05:25or maybe you don't want to make any modifications,
05:28or you're in a rental apartment and want to put it in any little space,
05:33the A2 makes total sense.
05:38So ask yourself if you can install something under the sink,
05:42if you have space, and then you'll know which way to go.
05:48It's doubly worth it, because besides letting me try this wonder,
05:52they're giving you a discount code so you can buy any product 12% cheaper.
06:01And enough about water already.
06:03Let's make this dessert with a secret ingredient.
06:09And the thing is, I've noticed that with filtered water,
06:13the creams turn out much silkier.
06:18As you can see, I keep stirring it over medium-low heat,
06:22and in a few minutes, it turns out creamy.
06:26You can make it more or less thick,
06:28and keep in mind that once it cools in the fridge,
06:31it'll thicken up a bit more.
06:33At the very last minute, you can also add a touch of vanilla,
06:37which in my opinion pairs great with a lemon,
06:40enhancing everything a bit.
06:42Just a dash.
06:43Don't overdo it with the vanilla either.
06:46And then pour it into the ramekins where you want to serve this marble.
06:51And we're all set.
06:54Store it in the fridge or refrigerator until you're ready to enjoy it.
07:02Besides, serving it cold, I think, boosts the refreshing kick that the lemon gives us.
07:09To decorate, you can use a bit of lemon zest to give it aroma and a touch of color.
07:17And add this touch, some cookie crumbs around the rim to give it some volume and a crunchy touch.
07:27Well, do you want to try it?
07:32It will surprise you with its texture and its flavor, too.
07:39Mmm.
07:43So refreshing.
07:44And the thing is,
07:46sometimes we don't pay attention to the details.
07:49But this dessert,
07:51with the water,
07:52with that touch you get from osmosis,
07:55you can really tell.
07:56Pure,
07:57filtered water.
07:58That doesn't give off weird mineral flavors or anything.
08:01Simple ingredients.
08:04It's just that the simple things
08:05are sometimes the best.
08:11Ah, is it light?
08:13Mmm.
08:14Wow, that's not good.
08:16Why is that?
08:19I started the video carrying water bottles,
08:22and I'm ending it with dessert.
08:29I'm discovering that I use water almost all day long.
08:36I don't know at what point this video got out of hand for me.
08:39The thing is that water,
08:41we don't just use it to fill a glass.
08:46We use it so much more,
08:48especially if we like to cook.
08:50And remember that if you're thinking about having reverse osmosis water,
08:54it's not about buying the most expensive system,
08:57but rather the one that best fits your situation.
09:01If you can't install,
09:03the A2.
09:04If you want an install option for LED,
09:06the G5P700E.
09:08The balanced option,
09:11G3P800.
09:12The most full-featured premium option,
09:16X12.
09:17I'll leave all the information down below in the description box,
09:21so you can take a look.
09:23And see which one fits you best.
