00:00It's very interesting you raised Boris Johnson. What did he do? He took us out of the single market,
00:04out of the customs union, and he made sure that our economy did not grow, and it cost the taxpayer,
00:10it cost the exchequer, in some estimates, £90 billion. So what we're doing, Robert,
00:16it's really important this, we're doing the reverse of Boris Johnson, so we're not like him at all,
00:20we're getting back into the single market, back in the customs union, to grow our economy.
00:24But we think, for example, on migration and asylum, we're wasting billions of pounds of a year
00:30because the Conservatives, including Boris Johnson, failed and destroyed our immigration and asylum
00:35system. That's why Robert Jenrick, now of the reform, opened more asylum hotels than any immigration
00:41minister in history. We're spending a fortune on those. Surely it is much better to process those
00:47applications way quicker so we can empty the hotels that's not costing a fortune. It's also better,
00:52back to Europe, that we have joined the EU Migration Pact, implemented this June, and if we did that,
00:59we would be able to make sure there were no small boats coming across the channel. So we have policies
01:04which would save a lot of money that's being wasted on asylum immigration, and by the way,
01:08be more effective in stopping the small boats.
