00:00The warm theme that we have across many parts at the moment, that's going to continue for a few more
00:06days, particularly in the south.
00:08Here we have high pressure firmly in control, so there's going to be lots of fine sunny weather.
00:13A different story, though, further north. Here there's some blustery rain around, and it's also a fair bit cloudier.
00:19The cloudiest skies today will be across northern and western areas, more central, eastern, southeastern parts of England.
00:25Here it will be largely sunny, but where we have that cloud, particularly western parts of Scotland, maybe northwest England,
00:32even parts of Wales and southwest England, where there's some low cloud, where there could be a bit of rain,
00:36albeit not especially heavy.
00:38With the sunshine, it's going to feel pretty warm, especially for the time of year.
00:42Temperatures towards the southeast getting to highs of around 24 Celsius, and even further north, high teens, low 20s, that
00:48kind of thing.
00:49Remember, it is late September now, so these temperatures are well above average.
00:54Into the evening and overnight, not a huge amount changes, really.
00:58Still some cloud, a few spots of rain towards the northwest.
01:01Overnight, a lot of the cloud does break up here and there, and it's going to turn mostly dry, but
01:06not totally dry,
01:07before a band of rain pushes into far western parts of Northern Ireland and the far west of Scotland as
01:12well, as we head towards dawn on Tuesday morning.
01:15Elsewhere, yes, drier, and there will be some clear breaks around.
01:18Towards the southeast, with these clear breaks, it could be a bit fresh.
01:22Yes, towns and cities will hold up in double digits, but some rural areas, both north and south, could get
01:27to mid-single figures.
01:29There could even be some mist and fog patches first thing tomorrow morning in parts of the southeast.
01:34Then through Tuesday itself, that rain across western Scotland, that feeds its way across more central parts,
01:40and so turning damp across the central belts and perhaps heavy bursts of rain for a time,
01:45and in southern Scotland, even eastern Scotland, a bit of rain arriving here as well.
01:49Also across Northern Ireland, there will be some rain pushing its way through.
01:52The further south and east you are, the longer the drier weather will last.
01:56And then for England and Wales, apart from the odd sherry bursts of rain towards the north and west,
02:01it's looking dry, and there will be some breaks in the cloud, and with that sunshine,
02:05then temperatures, if anything, will be up a degree or so compared to today.
02:09So fairly good chance that we'll get to around 25 Celsius towards the southeast,
02:13and again, high teens, perhaps low 20s further north.
02:17As we head through later this week, there are a few watch points to keep an eye out for.
02:21So on Wednesday, there's some perhaps heavy, persistent rain that's going to spread its way across northern and perhaps also
02:28central parts.
02:29Also need to watch out for some strong winds towards the northwest on Thursday.
02:33And then whilst our daytime temperatures are generally going to stay on the warmer side of average,
02:39by night, when we get any quieter periods in between the wet and windy spells,
02:44where we could see temperatures dropping, there could be a touch of frost in some places,
02:48and also some mist and fog patches to look out for as well.
