00:00Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. I'm Marco Britannia.
00:03We'll see a mixed bag of weather across the UK over the next few days, most of us seeing
00:06some rain at times, but feeling pleasantly warm when the sun comes through.
00:10This afternoon we'll see outbreaks of rain starting to move in from the west across northern
00:13parts of Ireland there. Elsewhere some sunshine, a few showers towards the north-west of Scotland,
00:18perhaps the unisolated shower across western parts of England and Wales. With the best
00:22of the sunny spells reserved for central, south-eastern parts of England, up across
00:25some eastern parts of Scotland too. In the sunshine in the south-east we'll see temperatures
00:29climb into the low 20s Celsius up to 23, possibly even 24 Celsius in London, that's
00:33the mid-70s in Fahrenheit, nearing the mid to high teens towards the north-west, which
00:37is close to where they should be for the time of year.
00:40As we head into the evening and through the overnight period, those outbreaks of rain
00:43across northern Ireland start to push eastwards into parts of southern Scotland and the north
00:47of England too. Some of that rain turning quite heavy by Monday morning. Some rain also
00:51into Wales and the south-west of England, a bit lighter and more patchy here. So the
00:54best of the clearer spells keeping going across the south-east of England, up across the far
00:58north of Scotland, turning quite chilly up across the far north. We could see temperatures
01:01into low signal figures by Monday morning in one or two spots, whereas across the bulk
01:05of England and Wales and Northern Ireland too, temperatures holding up into the low
01:08to mid-teens. So a big contrast temperature-wise from north to south overnight tonight.
01:13As for Monday, those outbreaks of rain across northern Ireland, northern England and southern
01:16Scotland gradually give way to brightening skies with a scattering of showers into the
01:21afternoon. One or two of those showers on the heavy, even thundery side. Towards the
01:25south, those outbreaks of rain across Wales and western parts of England gradually clear
01:28their way eastwards to give way to a sunnier afternoon here and holding on to some sunshine
01:32too across the far north of Scotland. In the sunshine in the afternoon in the south-east,
01:36once again pretty warm for the time of year. Temperatures up to 24, possibly even 25 Celsius,
01:41so 25 is 77 in Fahrenheit, whereas towards the north and north-west, slightly fresher
01:45at 19 or 20 Celsius. 20 there in Northern Ireland is 68 in Fahrenheit.
01:50As we go into the evening on Monday, further outbreaks of rain will start to push in from
01:54the west across northern Ireland. A few showers keeping going there across parts of Scotland
01:58and the far west of England. So again, the clearest spells down towards the south-east
02:02and across some northern and north-western parts of Scotland.
02:05That's pretty much it from me, but of course you can keep tuned to the Middle East Forecast
