ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ನಾಯಕ ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಅವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಅವರ ಮಿಮಿಕ್ರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರ ದಿವಂಗತ ತಾಯಿಯವರನ್ನು ಅಪಮಾನ ಘಟನೆ ಈಗ ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ ತೀವ್ರ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಸಂಚಲನ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಘಟನೆಯನ್ನು ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿ ಖಂಡಿಸಿರುವ ಆಡಳಿತಾರೂಢ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ, ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹರಿಹಾಯ್ದಿದೆ.
ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ನಡೆದ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾಂಡ್-ಅಪ್ ಕಾಮಿಡಿಯನ್ ಒಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಮೋದಿ ಅವರ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ನಕಲು ಮಾಡಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯವರ ದಿವಂಗತ ತಾಯಿಯವರ ಕುರಿತು ಅಣಕಿಸುವಂತಹ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.
