00:00Well quite incredible the establishment looking already at potentially changing rules to try
00:06and stop at Reform UK, Reform Government and of course we've seen from the government already
00:12the sickening decision to cancel elections. They actually tried to do it two years in a row didn't
00:19they and when it comes to donations I pointed this out before you know no one had a problem did
00:26they
00:26there was no talk whatsoever of changes to donations being made when Labour and the Tories
00:33were receiving huge amounts of money no talk of huge changes whatsoever as soon as Reform
00:40leveled the playing field all sorts of talk even of retrospective changes you can see there even the
00:50Guardian there reported that senior Labour and union figures had urged ministers to look again
00:56at party funding rules after Reform's announcement of donations so that points to a system where it
01:06looks like the government want to make changes to try and stop reform. Now in terms of what's going
01:12to happen looking ahead we now learn surprise surprise the Electoral Commission is considering
01:17changes to how campaign money can be used considering slashing spending limits because the rules at the
01:26moment is you can't spend more than £34 million in the year before General Election Day which is
01:31crackers anyway when you consider no one apart from the Prime Minister is going to know when the
01:37election is going to be called are they so how on earth are you supposed to plan when the Prime
01:40Minister
01:41can call the election at any moment so that in itself seems utterly ridiculous but you did have the
01:47Conservatives increase the limit you could spend in 2024 so it's only recently increased because there had
01:55been a cap frozen since 2000 and yet it looks like that is now going to be reviewed already. Now
02:02Sam Coates
02:03and this is really important of Sky pointing out here the Electoral Commission CEO did not initiate this
02:09review he's done so because the government has actually directed him to do so. So this is a Labour
02:17commissioned review of spending limits and Sam Coates also reporting there to senior Labour cabinet
02:25ministers telling the Electoral Commission what the problem is while commissioning this review and
02:30saying they ought to be reduced. This is proper banana republic stuff and as Nigel Farage says there
02:40once again our dishonest government is trying to change the rules to stop reform they're the most anti-democratic
02:45British government ever. It seems the establishment are now utterly desperate to try and change rules
02:52put in place retrospective laws for goodness sake to try and stop a reformed government. I think this is
03:00pretty disturbing stuff but please do let me know your thoughts on that in the comments below.
03:05Please do whack this video a quick thumbs up and of course as ever cheers for watching.
