00:00We're going to learn a lot about these two teams coming up this afternoon, and it's only week two, but
00:05it's fair to say that it's really hard to remember the last time the New York Jets started off a
00:10season 2-0, and they have a chance to do that today against the Green Bay Packers, a team like
00:16the Packers who gave away another win last week.
00:20Right now, the Jets are a small underdog. Packers are a slight favorite. And so, Joe, one of two things
00:27is going to happen here. Either history is going to prevail, and the Packers are going to win, and go
00:32to 1-1, and the Jets will go to 1-1, and we'll go about our business thinking the Jets
00:36are not going to be good all season, and the Packers will be okay.
00:40Or could it be that the Jets get off to this 2-0 start, and everyone in New York is
00:46really feeling good about them? History tells us, no, that's not going to happen.
00:51But, man, it feels uncomfortable laying any kind of number with Green Bay right now, not just based on last
00:56week, but based on the way they finished last season, too.
00:59Well, I've got some recent history that I want to share with you regarding the Green Bay Packers. Over their
01:04last six games going back to last year, they've been outscored by 63 points.
01:07They're also 0-6, and that includes last week's loss to the Minnesota Vikings, a game they lost, even though
01:13it was on the road, to a good defense when the starting quarterback went out.
01:17The Packers are objectively not a good football team, and this defense is objectively not good without Micah Parsons on
01:22the field. Period. End of story.
01:24This is actually the upset special for me of the week. I think the Jets can grind out a victory.
01:28You're getting plus 150 on the money line.
01:30I like this, and for me to say that I like the Jets, it takes a lot. It takes a
01:35lot.
01:35So Jet fans, I hope I don't curse you here. It just seems like we are overrating and overvaluing a
01:41Packer team that, let's be honest, the trend line for has been nothing but down, going back all the way
01:46to last year when this defense lost Micah Parsons.
01:49And last time I looked, there's no Josh Jacobs running the football either. I think this team is a bit
01:53of a mess.
01:54Christian Watson, the score, I think is still very much in play, but I would not be shocked at all
01:58if the Jets not only covered, but won this game outright with the way the Packers have just kind of
02:01fallen off the map recently.
02:04Yeah, it's really interesting because the Jets just rare in a scenario to start off the season 2-0 and
02:10even thinking that there's a chance that that could potentially happen.
02:13I mean, on paper, the Packers are far better than the Jets, but this game is not played on paper.
