00:07I got news on my way here last night that just yesterday, the Special Forces, U.S. Special
00:14Forces, for the first time in 15 years, met their recruiting goal, recruiting numbers.
00:18For 15 years, we couldn't get enough Americans to sign up to join Special Forces, this year
00:23that ended.
00:24And I'd like to think Americans looked up and saw a president, a commander-in-chief,
00:29who they want to follow, a department that's focused on the basics, the warrior ethos.
00:34No more ideological garbage anymore, no more DEI garbage in social engineering.
00:39That's all done.
00:40We don't do critical race theory.
00:42We don't do DEI.
00:43We do colorblind, gender-neutral, merit-based, merit-only.
00:49Discipline, accountability, readiness, training, lethality, that's it.
00:52If it doesn't contribute to any of those things, we don't want it.
00:55We're starting the warrior ethos, rebuilding the military.
00:57We're funding it the way that it should be, and we're reestablishing deterrence around
01:01the world, peace through strength.
01:02I think young Americans said, we want that, I'll sign up.
01:06Same with the Army Reserve, which hadn't met its goal for 10 years.
01:08They met it yesterday, two weeks in advance.
01:10Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Space Force, Air Force, all beat their recruiting goals months
01:15and months in advance.
01:16That has not happened for years, for decades, barely meeting mission.
01:20It's because there's a pride, there's a sense, there's a feeling.
01:24There's, as the president says, a spirit in the nation, and certainly amongst the ranks.
