00:07Hi, congratulations. Thank you. Ray did just ask me to ask you this. It's been reported.
00:12I heard her. I was eating a hamburger back there. Yeah, yeah. It's been reported that
00:16season two is written. What can you tell us if that's true or not? All lies. No, I'm just, yes.
00:22We, no, she's, we, yeah, no, we're really, it took us a while, but we figured out season two,
00:28and it's not, it's technically not all written. We have broken it, which is a hard part. We figured
00:34out, in other words, the plot of all the episodes. The first two were written. The rest of them are
00:39in various stages of being written, but we know what the whole season is, and we will share it soon
00:44with Ray. And, but you know, sometimes the actors and Carolina and Vezca and Samba and that sometimes
00:52they don't necessarily want to know. They kind of want to be surprised, which I kind of like that.
00:56Bryan Cranston was the same way. He kind of wanted to, and Aaron Paul kind of wanted to,
01:01and Bob wanted to wait and see. So, you know, but we'll be happy to share once we got it
01:07figured out,

01:15Hello. Congratulations on the win. Thank you. I'm not quite sure how, you know, submitting something for
01:23the Emmys works for you guys, but I was just wondering why you felt that this episode of the
01:28We Is Us was your strong contender, and what sets it apart in terms of writing from all the other
01:33episodes? That's a really good question. I don't remember picking it. I think I relied a lot on the
01:41on the wonderful folks at Apple. It's a good question. I don't know that I actually picked
01:49this one. I think I left it up to the producers and the Apple, the awards department, and they said,
01:58what's our, you know, they said, you know, we think our best foot forward is dot, dot, dot. So they'd
02:01probably be better at answering that than I would. But it's a good question, because I'm proud of all of
02:06them, particularly a few of them that I did not write or direct. There's some some of the very

02:33Another thing that Ray talked about, and she talked a lot about it on the trail,
02:37was the interpretations, the various interpretations that fans had of the show.
02:41You've heard a lot of it. What has impressed you or what has struck what struck you the most and
02:46how
02:46people have interpreted your show and what surprised you and how people have interpreted it?
02:54You know, I'm trying. I'm going to think of a great answer to that question as I'm driving home
02:58tonight, probably. But I mean, I'm just I'm I'm just very heartened at the reception has been what
03:04it has been. First and foremost, I heard I heard Ray say that, too. We took a big swing with
03:09this.
03:09We didn't know how it would be received. It does seem timely
03:16the hindsight in terms of the advent of AI and also, you know, coming off of COVID five, six years,
03:26six years ago. It the idea for this predated both those things. But but a lot of people are saying,
03:33well, it's a it's a it's a it's a has something to do with with AI or loneliness or,
03:39you know, loss. That's a big one. Actually, someone someone said that it's a it's a sort of a
03:45contemplation of loss. I think all these things are true. They all have validity. I really like
03:52hearing other people tell me what my show is about. I'd rather not have to tell other people
03:56because I'd probably get it wrong. Can't see the forest for the trees. So, yeah.

04:10Hey, Vince. Congratulations. Obviously, you you have experience working with Ray.
04:15I was wondering if there was anything that surprised you about her performance in season one that
04:19you were finding yourself writing Carol slightly differently in season two.
04:24Man, you guys are full of great questions. I got to have a good answer to that. I mean,
04:28I just I knew she was great. I wrote that I created the show for her.
04:32But she continually surprised me throughout that she was even better than I thought she was going
04:37to be. There's a certain base level baseline level of excellence I knew she would achieve.
04:43And then she surpassed it every single time. So I guess the best answer is every single time I got
04:49to director or every single time I watched the the footage of another director with her in it.
04:54I just kind of blew my mind every time. She was better than than she than I ever thought
05:00she would be. And then it goes for the other actors as well with
05:03Veska, Carolina, Samba and Miriam Shore and all these wonderful actors we work with. But Ray
05:10surprises me. They all do delightfully, but she surprises me every single time.
