00:00Well another sign today that the European Union, if we thought they were completely mad before,
00:04have gone even more bananas. The so-called State of the Union address by EU Commission President
00:11Ursula von der Leyen. How many people across the European Union actually got to vote for her to
00:16become the president exactly? I mean the whole thing is an absolute joke. But the European Union,
00:22just to remind you, is now pitching for a two trillion euro budget. They openly now call with
00:29an EU defence commissioner for an EU army and they want the ability now to overrule national
00:35governments in terms of having an EU foreign policy. So it tempts basically to form an EU
00:42super state that can effectively overrule national governments continues. It continued today with
00:47Ursula von der Leyen calling for a European Security Council and this many have warned, you know, this
00:53is a serious threat to NATO at this line of thinking. Why on earth do you need a European
01:00Security Council, an EU emergency security protocol when we have NATO? This is yet another obsession with
01:10the European Union on defence, on their increasing obsession with an EU army, EU military and yeah,
01:17I think this seriously clashes with NATO. We already have many tools and we are strengthening our work
01:25with NATO. But our doctrine, our institutions and our decision making have not kept pace with the new
01:34reality. Our systems are made for a different world. They are driven by well-intentioned attempts at consensus and
01:44countries. But we need to consider if they are still fit for purpose. For instance, Europe needs its own
01:54counter-hybrid playbook. We urgently need a consensus on how to respond to certain incidents. Those which fall
02:05will be below armed aggression, but clearly threaten our national security. In other words, a mechanism to
02:15flank NATO's Article 4. And I believe it is time for Europe's own Article 4, an emergency security protocol.
02:26Yeah, that's absolutely bonkers. And then on top of that, they want to have, and remember folks,
02:31this is the European Union, supposedly. The European Union are now proposing that Canada,
02:41Canada becomes an EU associate member. Now remember, when people are actually asked directly
02:46if they want to be part of this EU project, pretty much every time they say no. We saw that
02:50recently
02:51with Iceland saying no thanks to any prospect of EU membership. And now you've got Ursula von der Leyen
02:58suggesting associate membership for Canada. So I would like to work with you on opening the door
03:06for Canada to being the first associate member of the European Union. And just to show you again how
03:13the European Union actually operates. Were countries actually asked about this? Oh no. Mere member countries,
03:21i.e. nationally elected governments, weren't even told about this, it seems. They weren't even asked
03:29about this. They weren't even briefed about this. Ursula von der Leyen there and the EU Commission
03:36offering their, it seems, associate membership for Canada, seemingly without national governments even
03:41being aware. I mean, the whole thing is an absolute farce. Why on earth would you want to be a
03:47part of
