00:18federal elections belong to American citizens period anyone who is not a citizen and who
00:26chooses to cast a ballot or claim citizenship falsely is breaking the law. We cannot and will
00:34not allow that to stand. When individuals intentionally violate the rules that safeguard
00:42our democracy, then that weakens every lawful vote cast by our great citizens. Over the past
00:50week, six defendants by my office were indicted and another charged by criminal complaint.
00:57Arrests have already been executed. As of this morning, we got the last individual and illegal
01:03from Mexico. The announced charges include voting by an alien in a federal election,
01:11falsely claiming US citizenship to register to vote, as well as making false statements
01:17and naturalization applications.
