00:02A little conference matchup with Wake Forest.
00:04Last weeknight game of the year for the Canes in the regular season.
00:10Hopefully they advance into the postseason and we have to deal with more weeknight games.
00:14But this will be the final one here.
00:16And, Dono, it's a better opponent.
00:18It's an opponent that you informed me that people are speaking about as a potential upset.
00:23I don't see anything at all.
00:25And just for the record, I don't believe it either.
00:28But I see the wishful thinking out there from a lot of folks.
00:32Yeah, I'm sure nothing would make college football fans happier and see Miami get knocked off on Friday night.
00:39But, yeah, Miami comes into this one.
00:40Three touchdown favorites.
00:42I certainly don't see it.
00:43I think the Canes are really rolling right now.
00:45And the schedule, again, breaks very favorably here for Miami to start this season.
00:52So, hopefully the Canes can get to 3-0 after Friday night.
00:57And we can sit back and watch Ole Miss and LSU go to battle on Saturday night.
01:02That game, I mean, you talk about a game with some serious storylines.
01:07That is going to be fun, man.
01:08That is going to be a lot of fun to watch.
01:10And that will lead us into, hopefully, a good Sunday of NFL football.
01:14Hopefully a little better in that 425 window.
01:17They are for the Dolphins.
01:19But, you know, at least at 425, Dono, they can't screw up the early window of games.
01:24So, we'll have that.
01:25Yeah, they can't take that away from us, right?
01:27Yeah, that will be a positive there.
01:30Someone said only Gator fans think like that.
01:33I've got to think there's a lot of people around the country.
01:35Dono, you know this better than I do because you talk to not only Canes fans,
01:39but you do your Locked On ACC podcast as well.
01:42And you hear from people.
01:44I can't imagine much has changed over the years.
01:47I'm sure people still like to see Miami lose.
01:49Oh, I mean, Miami, as we know, we've known this for decades, is not well-liked.
01:54by a lot of folks.
01:56And I think people have seen just the video game numbers that Darian Mensah
02:02and Malachi Tony have put up through these first two games.
02:06But then people love to try and crash that party by saying,
02:10well, FAMU and Stanford, they haven't played anybody.
02:14So, it's just – I think people naturally gravitate towards this,
02:17that the haters out there, they would love to be validated in their idea
02:22that Mensah and Tony are these huge frauds,
02:26and that if you play a team with a pulse, they can't put up numbers like that.
02:30I mean, listen, watching Miami's offense, not only in these first two games,
02:34but having a chance to watch them a little bit in practice leading up to this year,
02:38like what they're doing is not a fluke.
02:41Like Darian Mensah is the real deal.
02:43We've already known Malachi Tony is the real deal.
02:45They have other complementary players in that offense that can take pressure off of these guys.
02:50Like I have a hard time seeing the path to Wake Forest slowing down Miami's offense.
02:57Now, Miami's defense, it's going to be an interesting test for them,
03:03partly because the defensive secondary is very banged up.
03:07So, it's been a next man up mentality, you know, last week,
03:11but that was FAMU into this week with no OJ Frederic, no Xavier Lucas, no Jabori Antoine.
03:18You know, Bryce Fitzgerald's one of the best athletes on the team, period,
03:22who's already a great safety, has also shown, going back to his high school days,
03:26he's a great corner as well.
03:28So, he's been stepping in and playing corner.
03:30So, how much is Gio Lopez going to be able to test them downfield?
03:35Because, you know, Miami's pass rush, I know that they've kind of been much maligned this year.
03:40I think they've played better than people give them credit for,
03:43and teams are always going to try to get rid of the football quick to scheme around them, right?
03:48So, I mean, how much success will Wake's offensive line have straight up against Miami's D-line?
03:54Because you know that I don't think Lopez has that quick of a release.
03:59He's going to try for it this week, but is he going to be able to get downfield,
04:03or is Miami going to create so much chaos and havoc that he can't?
