00:27potentiali possa fare tue?
00:28to help my kids you question that are we all going to die in 2030 maybe it won't matter we
00:34were not we're not going to die in 2030 there are so many people in the world who are going
00:39to build
00:40ai properly we're going to have all kinds of guardrails invent all kinds of technology for
00:47safety and security all of that is happening around the world it's not just two companies
00:52building things there are thousands of companies building things and so we're gonna we're gonna
00:57create ai that's incredibly useful it's going to be incredibly helpful and it'll be incredibly safe
01:02we could have all of that at the same time because it's an engineering problem and safety is an
01:07engineering problem testing is an engineering problem we should create products and properly
01:14test them and if they're not ready to be released just hold on to it and keep testing it and
01:19keep
01:19engineering and until it's ready it's just a common sense i'm an i'm a believer now you told me two
01:26years ago that companies would be able to buy something from you and make four times what
01:31they thought that was conservative as usual right you're under promising because they're making money
01:36right now they just don't like to talk about it well the part that's really incredible is that in the
01:40last six months ai became super useful and because it's super useful people are building these compute
01:46systems nvidia ai factories like crazy each gigawatt of nvidia ai factories is about 50 60 billion dollars
01:55okay however the rentals of that one gigawatt ai factory is about 50 billion dollars per year
02:03year okay so yeah the return on invested capital is about one year right now now and they get to
02:09use
02:10that because nvidia's fungibility and durability is so great they get to use that for many years well
02:16beyond five and six and so the return on that investment capital is incredible that's why everybody's
02:21building it no it's tough because the uh the closed model so to speak frontier they apparently can
02:27make three times that but at the same time we need both open and closed don't we you should rent
02:34and use the best models that are available as a product or service these closed models however every
02:40single country every single company every single industry must also build their own intelligence
02:47how can you outsource intelligence to somebody else completely and so that's the reason why all these
02:52companies are here is the reason why our partnership with salesforce salesforce is going to use nvidia
02:57nemotron and our agent technology to build their proprietary agents that sit on top of salesforce
03:04in addition to that because these agents are going to be so fast and they're going to be so many
03:08of them
03:09the data processing layer of salesforce it sits on it's in salesforce it's in uh uh data bricks it's
03:18in snowflake we accelerate data processing across all of that and so you're going to have data processing
03:24at lightning speeds you're going to have all these agents helping you do things and so all of that is
03:29based on nvidia's nemotron and so this way salesforce is an ai company as well well then this will be
03:35the
03:35same as all the other industrial revolutions at the beginning everyone said listen room is going to
03:39put a lot of seamstress out of business and it was a tough game for them true but there were
03:4410 times
03:44a number of jobs four years later you know that storytelling is is unfortunate unnecessary and quite
03:52frankly just wrong the fact of the matter is when a company becomes more productive and when they're
03:59powered by artificial intelligence they become more ambitious their ambition allows them to do
04:06great imagine greater things wanting to do greater things which is the reason why if you take a look
04:10at what's going on at salesforce they they were a data layer and an application layer now they're also
04:17an agent layer on top of that they're much more ambitious today about the future of salesforce
04:22than any time i've ever seen mark and he's always enthusiastic about it and today he's fired up
04:28and so ai has helped his company elevate their ambition and as a result they'll be able to
04:35achieve greater heights this is going to happen not just at salesforce but all of salesforce's customers
04:41every single industry it is completely illogical that engineering if we had software coding agents
04:52engineering would no longer be necessary i grew up in the generation where engineering engineers
04:58had no software we used all kinds of other tools and we built up prototypes and so there was engineering
05:05before software there will be engineering after all right no sense and so yeah this just doesn't make
05:11sense that yes i'm watching this all in a popular podcast you got a phone call in the middle of
05:17it
05:17was a little strange was that planned no no president i was i was on on stage and off stage
05:24i saw the
05:24corner of my eyes my team waving a phone uh you know in the air and and as they they
05:32i was trying to
05:33figure out what was going on as they walked closer it said mr president and of course you can't you
05:39cannot pick up the whole smart yeah it's smart when the president calls you pick it up and so anyhow
05:44he just wanted to talk to me about some of the tweets that he put out and um i told
05:50him i happened
05:50to be on stage with the besties and he he said put me on let me talk to everybody and
05:55so i put him on
05:56that's what happened okay all right it was all right so totally unplanned yeah now he used the term
06:01hoax that got picked up by a lot of people but the consensus of that panel was there are some
06:05things
06:05that are made up you agreed with that term made up don't we don't we how do you stop that
06:11stuff
06:11ai safety is a real thing okay um engineering products so that they are safe for the world to use
06:19that's a real thing and companies should innovate as fast as possible but they should never innovate
06:26so fast as to release unsafe products that is a real thing however the fact that we need new laws
06:33new antitrust laws or new regulations so that these companies could do their fundamental engineering
06:41and do do it properly before they release products that is just completely unnecessary and i think that
06:47that's what the president is saying that we don't need new laws we don't need yeah we don't need we
06:51got
06:52plenty of laws we have plenty of regulations that govern the reliability and the functionality of
06:58products and you know there's lots and lots of yesterday was a weird day i mean your stock opens
07:02down five and a half because everyone says open ai won't come public therefore you won't make your
07:07quarter blah blah blah when do we realize that you sell it 14 times fiscal year 28 earnings
07:12which starts in january and that you've got so much going for you and the best investment in the world
07:19is
07:19what nvidia well let's go to work let's buy a half a trillion you know jim listen this is incredible
07:25we're the only platform that runs every close model right every single close model and we're growing
07:30share in the close model space we're the only platform that runs every single open model including
07:37nvidia with our own nemotron models the token generation demand rate has gone up 25 times in less than a
07:47year
07:47and the amount of open tokens that are being generated has gone from 30 percent to almost 70
07:54and so demand for ai because it's useful now it's just growing exponentially nothing nothing that happened
08:02this week is going to slow that down in fact if anything at all what's likely to happen is we
08:07we used
08:08to have training systems and inferencing systems giant systems we now will have another third system that
08:15third system is basically testing environmental testing labs and so these testing systems will be
08:22extremely large so that we can have products that are functionally functional capable safe and secure
08:29and that requires massive data centers to test them so we just created yet another new demand that's
08:36brilliant now how about do we have enough compute and when are we going to get the financial guys in
08:40wall street to start trading compute well jim this is the the big breakthrough in the last few years
08:45people realize now that nvidia compute is the only system that is fungible and durable the reason why
08:54we're fungible is because we run everything we run every single model closed model open models we run
08:58every single stage of the ai life cycle from data processing to training to post training to inference
09:04and of course testing every single company uses us and as a result this is now the world's first computing
09:14system that you could use be that could be asset backed and so the finance and so you could use
09:21the
09:21computers as collateral and we're seeing more and more evidence of that if so this is going to be a
09:27huge
09:27unlock for all of the companies who don't have the ability to fund this level of scale because the
09:34asset itself will be the collateral so this is a moment in time that we will all remember is when
09:39everything who everybody who hired you and bought your stuff went had the inflection and the
09:46profitability particularly because the life of these six seven eight nine years the profitability is going
09:51to be extraordinary can you help explain people that i'm tired of saying it you know the weird thing is
09:58is that so many of the early uh renters signed up for long-term leases long-term rents long-term
10:07contracts
10:07and now all of these csps they kind of regret that because the spot pricing that because of demand the
10:14spot pricing the rental fees are so incredible you can now rent an nvidia grace blackwell for 16
10:23per gpu hour now some of them were rented away at five dollars just a year ago no faith and
10:31so now
10:32as these as these contracts roll off everybody is just up upping their price they're upping their revenue
10:40forecast the return on investment capital is coming in they're buying more gear they want to put up more
10:46infrastructure and so i think this flywheel is really really flying well i'm going to say something
10:51maybe you've heard of it nvidia own it don't trade it own it don't trade it that's what i do
10:56thank you
10:57so much jesse but great to see you great co-founder and everything else everybody jim creamer
