06:20But now he's a Super Bowl-winning coach, and he's got an opportunity to do it his way.
06:26And I think he's really happy now that he was able to make the move.

07:06And I think what they're trying to establish or reestablish here
07:09is the army of the New York Giants bringing back that mentality.

25:10they would do in Kansas City and the shotgun and some of that stuff throwing the football.
25:16Cowboys only need about 13 or 14 yards to give Aubrey a shot at a long field goal on a
25:21windless night.

27:11You know, it looks like the game's unfolding in the manner in which they wanted to.
27:15They're running the ball.
27:16They got 80 yards rushing.
27:17It's putting them in manageable third downs.
27:19I think they're four for five on third down conversions.
27:22But equally as important is that they're controlling the pace of the play.
27:26They're playing Princeton basketball like we talked about pregame.
27:29They're reducing the number of possessions, and that gives them a chance.
27:32A little small ball never hurt anybody.

28:26We're trying something new this season.
28:28We have Mike Tomlin's news for week one.
28:31And coach, I want you to explain to the people what the news meant for your team every time
28:35you walked into the locker room.
28:37I like this.
28:38This gives me an opportunity to scratch my coaching itch.
28:40The news is a concept that I came up with to address pertinent issues with my team.
28:45I didn't call it fake news.
28:47I call it news.
28:48Because I don't make it.
28:49They make it.
28:50I simply report it.
28:52And so we get an opportunity to have some fun, talk about some things going on in the game.
28:55Okay.
28:56Let's get into it.
28:56Because this is the highest scoring week one Sunday in the NFL since 1970 merger.
29:02And there's a lot of points on the board.
29:04You got to tell me why.
29:04Yeah, Jason Garrett and I were talking about it, watching the first half.
29:08And it's very true.
29:09I think how we practice and how we prepare our teams today really kind of lend itself to
29:15offenses starting faster than they have historically.
29:18What I mean by that here is there's less violence in team development.
29:21There are less padded practices.
29:23And even the drills that they do are more geared towards skill development, seven on seven
29:28and things of that nature.
29:29Defenses spend less time shedding blocks and tackling than they used to 25 years ago.
29:34When I came in the league.
29:36Well, let's talk about the quarterbacks that had their way then in week one, starting with
29:38Josh Allen, four total touchdowns against the Houston defense.
29:41We're expecting a lot from this week.
29:43Here's another thing that's really challenging defense of success early in the season.
29:48All of team development, the defensive front is told to stay away from the quarterback.
29:52Stay away from the quarterback.
29:53And then you get into the regular season and quarterback mobility is more challenging than
29:58it's ever been before.
30:00You got guys like Josh Allen, man, and Caleb Williams, who are really capable of breaking
30:05you down and killing you with your legs.
30:06But you spent the entire month of August staying away from the quarterback.
30:10Now that it's September, you got to close the door and it's very difficult for defenses.
30:14Hey, Bears scored the most points they've ever scored in a season opener.
30:17But surely somebody played a little bit of defense.
30:19Anybody out there?
30:21And no doubt the Vikings.
30:23You like what Brian Flores was able to do against the Packers.
30:26I know Brian Flores very well.
30:28We had an opportunity to work together a couple of years ago.
30:30I know how he feels about pressure.
30:32He lives and dies by it.
30:34It's not a part-time thing for him.
30:36He's willing to die on that hill.
30:38And there were so many examples of it today in the game.
30:41They pressured 78% of drop back passes in the game and they got beat a little bit early.
30:47Early on in the game, they hit Christian Watson over the middle of the field.
30:52He was able to go down the sideline, caught him in a pressure structure.
30:55Man, he kept his foot on the gas.
30:57And as the game wore on, you felt the dam breaking of Green Bay folding under the pressure of five

31:04that Brian Flores and company provides.
31:06Probably helped that he spent a little bit of time on your staff.
31:08No big deal.
31:10Yeah.
