00:00Congratulations. Hold this trophy up. Let's see it.
00:02Yeah. Yes. Oh, man.
00:06It's like I'm on cloud 55, not just nine.
00:10I am so happy.
00:13It wasn't it was unexpected to a point, but it was a culmination of years of hard work.
00:19And I guess that's why I was up there on stage bawling like a baby, because all that emotion came
00:25at once.
00:27And I had a speech ready. I was ready.
00:30And then all of a sudden, God said, oh, no, no, no.
00:34This is how it's going to go.
00:36It started off by crying an ocean full of tears.
00:39And so I said, no, not in front of all these people.
00:42And it was it went from there.
00:44So everybody felt it was from the heart.
00:47And I just thank God that I got this.
00:51It was such an emotional and moving speech.
00:53And it went very viral.
00:55So many views online.
00:57So I didn't expect that because actually I got about 80 percent of what I practiced out.
01:03And so I didn't think it was a good speech.
01:05But everybody says, oh, man, that was the best speech of the night.
01:09And I just felt it from the heart.
01:11Next thing you know, it was viral.
01:12It went everywhere.
01:13So I don't know.
01:15You know, I have to say it's not like I'm so religious, but I'm spiritual and God's in control.
01:20I guess he does his thing the way we may not imagine, but he does the right thing.
01:26So I'm really I just say I love you.
01:30This is my new girl.
01:31So what's the past week been like for you?
01:35Have you heard from anyone surprising?
01:37Have they anybody surprising reached out?
01:40Everybody's reached out.
01:41My phone has been gone non nonstop.
01:45And tonight I just talked to Ron Sheldon, who I did a show called White Man Can't Jump, a movie
01:51called White Man Can't Jump.
01:52He was the director and he said, oh, man, you know, a lot of people have been waiting to call
01:57me because they know that my phone is nonstop and they wanted to let it cool down a few days.
02:03But if it's not if it's not ringing, somebody is texting me.
02:07I'm just happy because, you know, as an actor, we fight to just be recognized.
02:12And finally, I am.
02:14And so I'm really happy.
02:15I'm happy to be a part of this great show.
02:19So the pit is just like the number one show.
02:22I hope I help my my fellow actors all come up with these.
02:27And because we've got the most nominations out of anybody.
02:31So they have a good chance.
02:33And tomorrow, I mean, Monday, we'll be all together.
02:36And hopefully we're all carrying one.
02:39Well, that's exactly right.
02:41And tonight you're celebrating and we're asking everyone tonight.
02:44Let's say you're headed to the next party.
02:47Which fellow nominee is writing with you?
02:51I you know, I came alone, but my I'm not my man is Patrick Ball.
02:58I just we're tight.
03:00And of course, no, no is my brother from another mother.
03:03He is.
03:04He was one that orchestrated this whole thing for me.
03:08He discovered who I was as an actor.
03:11He went and researched it and he decided to really do something about it by creating an arc.
03:17An arc that for Louie Cloverfield that I lovingly call Noah's arc, an arc that made the world cry, an
03:23arc that's already made television history.
03:25He's not only a great actor, but a great human being.
03:29And I just say thank you.
03:32And also, I dedicated this this trophy to Betty Davis.
03:38And the reason I did is because in 1980, we did a movie together.
03:42I started a movie with her and they boycotted the image that year.
03:47So we never got this ceremony.
03:50We never got all this pomp and circumstance.
03:53And so I finally came back on my own.
03:56And I just said, hey, we didn't get it that time, Betty, but this one's for us.
