00:10Yeah.
00:11Hold on.
00:20Just .
00:21As a performance by your team.
00:23Although Totten had more possession on the ball, Everton had more shots on target,
00:28Were you happy with the performance and the result?
00:30Somebody told me that and I couldn't believe it. I thought it felt as if Tottenham had much more than
00:34we had.
00:36Was I happy with the performance? No, not really, no.
00:40I wanted much more from the team but I told them about coming here.
00:46We've not had a great record here, whereas only a couple of months ago we stopped getting to Europe
00:52probably by not winning here as well. I generally felt that we had to come here and show a bit
00:57more.
00:58We had to be resilient and tough. Tottenham were so good for 20 minutes.
01:03It put us under so much pressure that we found it difficult to escape from it.
01:08Like we were worthy, we made a couple of chances ourselves.
01:11But we didn't play well enough today when we had the ball.
01:14We gave it away and turned it over more often than we have done recently.
01:18Dave, how much did you say about the resilience and the spirit of your side?
01:24They've been playing, absolutely.
01:25This is the performance.
01:27They've still come away from the able most.
01:29The fans come away from the unscathed.
01:32Yeah, the clean sheet was huge for the team and for everybody, obviously.
01:37There's a wee bit of an effort on DNA.
01:39We have to find ways.
01:41We have a terrific goalkeeper in the back four who does well.
01:45We know exactly where we're short and what we could do better at
01:47and what we'd like to do better at.
01:51But there'll be some games where we might have to play that way
01:53just to get ourselves through and pick up points.
01:56It wasn't the plan, but when we were forced into it by Tottenham,
02:01I thought we'd done a really good job of being resilient, hard to score against.
02:07Our goalie didn't have too much saves to make with a few blocks,
02:10a few corners we had to defend.
02:11But overall, I thought we'd done a pretty good job.
02:14There were some good performances across the back line,
02:16but Sam, as it was Jarrah Brantwick.
02:18Yeah, Jarrah Brantwick was excellent, as was Mikko.
02:21I thought they were both very good and they had to be
02:23because I think the way Tottenham opened up and the way they started,
02:27very quick, very slick and sharp.
02:30We had to be at our best to try and get through that period.
02:39It's interesting that you say it's a difficult place,
02:41because they have got a terrible record here.
02:43Yeah, we have, yeah.
02:45And Spurs are as well.
02:48But is it still a hard place to play?
02:51Yeah, look, I think any Premier League team you go to is away from home.
02:57The levels of the games, you know, they might be somewhere.
03:00But just sometimes when you've got a record like that,
03:01it goes, oh wow, hopefully not.
03:04You know, we were coming to Tottenham today,
03:06knowing that they hadn't won and hadn't scored.
03:08And, you know, I thought the crowd were behind them for long periods of the game,
03:14because they could see their team were pushing for it.
03:17But we had to be resilient and find a way of sort of stopping it.
03:20And we did.
03:21And we did.
03:22It was a really good, good sort of, yeah.
03:24I'm pleased with, you know, the organisation stuff to stop them getting in.
03:28In the main, we've done a pretty good job.
03:31Harry?
03:32Do you think Jared's back close to his best now?
03:36I mean, that's probably the best of the problems that we've seen as a part in England as well.
03:40It might be the same for that.
03:42I was saying, somebody else asked me.
03:44I think England have got some brilliant centre-halves.
03:46So we're talking about Gay and I think the boy Colwell and Konza.
03:52And, you know, you could name a few really good players.
03:54But Jared's a really good player.
03:57I think he's got far more to come.
04:00I think he's still finding his way after his injury.
04:04And I mentioned there, you know, it'd be great if he gets called up,
04:07because I want my players to be called up for their countries,
04:09because that means that they're doing well.
04:12The team's doing well.
04:13Jimmy Gardner last year at the end of the season get called up with a chance of going to the
04:16World Cup.
04:19So I hope they do.
04:21And one or two others are playing well.
04:22Cairn Dewsbury Halls had a really good start to the season as well.
04:25Can I just check on Tom Merlin Roller?
04:27He's out today.
04:29He picked up an injury.
04:31He got it in the Man United game.
04:33Yeah.
04:35Any further questions, guys?
04:37No?
04:38Thanks.
04:38OK, cheers. Thank you.
04:39Thanks.
04:41See you later.
