00:05Buckeyes quarterback who is probably the star who won't be as mentioned by many in this spot here
00:14but maybe that creates a little bit of value when you put the props side by side of the two

00:20there's not a big gap here passing yards arch as at 247 and a half Sane's at 244 and a

00:27passing touchdowns both at one and a half more juice on the Manning side of things here Dave how
00:33much trust or concern you have with Sane entering into this spot I think a lot of these nerves have
00:43been twisted when Ohio State goes and rolls everybody after Texas last year and goes undefeated
00:48into the big 10 title game but if you look a little deeper at the numbers he didn't overwhelm his
00:54opponent in games versus top 10 teams he played okay versus Texas they won the game but as we
01:00mentioned it was because Texas couldn't get in the end zone they lost to Indiana in a third game where
01:05he didn't play particularly well and then they lost to Miami in the college football playoff so one and
01:10two in those games he had two touchdowns three interceptions and was sacked 10 times those aren't
01:16spectacular numbers in fact those are not good numbers at all so the narrative that he's just
01:20all of a sudden going to outplay arch I think has gone a little bit too far he had a
01:25great year he's
01:26a Heisman trophy candidate I love the kid but he didn't play particularly well versus good top 10
01:32teams and good defenses sure he dominated the Purdue's and Michigan's I can't believe I put him in the same
01:38sentence and the and the directional Ohio schools but he struggled versus Texas he struggled versus
01:44Indiana he struggled versus Miami so I don't have great hopes that he's going to go into Austin and blow
01:50the top off and I'm leaning towards the under on his passing yards I'm very interested if he tries
01:58to up the ante as a runner a little bit he didn't have a rushing touchdown all of last season
02:04he had
02:05one in the opener against Ball State he sticks to one for an anytime touchdown maybe even if he doesn't
02:12deliver that here it's just something I want to try and keep some tabs on with this kid who let's

03:47153 against Grambling in Ohio and then he had 42 against Hilderoy who was ranked and he had 40 against
03:53Michigan who was ranked now he went back to balling out in the Big Ten title game and Miami Jeremiah
03:59Smith lit up Ball State that wasn't a question he was always going to light up Ball State he averages
04:06well over 100 yards a game when he plays the non-power schools I cannot wait to see Dave what

04:15store here today for Texas and I will say narratively I'm a little more drawn to Cam Coleman than Smith

04:39minute guys I am actually as good as these guys I think it's his chance to make a statement as

05:07to win this game and get the ball to their playmakers against it as opposed to playing a Jeremiah Smith
