00:21and watch carefully. First, I'm going to use a cleansing antibacterial foam.
00:27It's needed to, let's say, wash the feet. It works like a no-rinse foot wash. Basically,
00:33you apply the foam, it dissolves all the dirt and removes unpleasant odors if there are any.
00:38And then you just wipe it off and you can start working. The feet really do feel fresh.
00:43Now let's take the removal bit. In my case, it's a ceramic bit from Biotech and a Dr. Alex device.
00:51I'm still testing it and it's still doing a great job with pedicures.
00:56I love a straight-sided bit because I think it's especially good for pedicures. In my opinion,
01:02it's hard to control the trajectory with a corn-shaped bit. But with a straight wall,
01:08it's no problem at all to do this. However, it's important to remove it without applying too much
01:13pressure. Remember, the coating was very thin. Next, we take pedicure nippers and shorten the free edge.
01:20In a month, or rather a month and a half, the nails have grown out quite a bit. Of course,
01:26they're already getting in the way. It was simply impossible to walk with them,
01:29so we trimmed them as short as possible. For those who ask why I cut the nails so short,
01:34I cut them this way because that's what the client asks for, because it's more comfortable for her.
01:40Next is talc or potastop powder, which is actually used for food care, but I got hooked on it right
01:46during pedicures. It's a great thing and has a very pleasant scent. Next is a pusher, which really
01:53resembles an orange stick. Unfortunately, I ran out of my usual 0.07 ones in the sets, so I took

02:00one. But that's okay. Sometimes it's nice to step out of your comfort zone. We pushed back the cuticle.
02:05It's not complicated here. And we take a drop-shaped pedicure bit. But the skin in the sidewalls is
02:11actually quite tricky here. There are some nuances. First, I work with this kind of voluminous pedicure
02:19drop-shaped bit. I like it because it has a blunt tip and a large rounded body. Whatever you call
02:26it.
02:26Anyway, there's a white part that makes it quite easy to treat the sidewalls.
02:31But there are some nuances with the side grooves, and it's very, very hard to reach those areas.
02:36And the most annoying thing is, the more you try, the worse you mess them up. You could end up

02:41everything so much that there will actually be holes. And then, of course, dirt can get in,
02:47and, god forbid, there could be some kind of inflammation. That's why we try to work very,
02:51very gently, without overdoing it. By the way, with this same bit,
02:55I'll go over the surface of the nail plate and remove the remaining jaw polish.
02:59I'll go over the nail folds as well. In general, it's quite versatile.
03:03I use it both for buffing the nail plate and even as a way to remove old material in hard
03:09to reach areas.
03:10Next, I'm showing the second toe. It also has some surprises.
03:14It's longer than all the others. That's actually the reason why my friend usually gets teased.
03:19People often leave comments saying that her feet look weird or wrong.
03:22That's just how it is. We all have very different structures. For her, the second toe is longer.
03:28For me, for example, on one foot, the second toe is longer and on the other is the third toe.
03:33But mine is only slightly longer, so it's not noticeable.
03:36Hers is much more pronounced. That's actually what causes the problem.
03:40Because in shoes, that toe is constantly rubbing against the side.
03:44And it might seem like, yes, you can just choose the right shoes.
03:48But she has another problem, which is that her foot is narrow.
03:52Her foot just isn't wide. And that's the tricky part.
03:56Because it's quite difficult to find shoes for feet like that.
04:00Well, it is what it is.
04:02A constantly growing callus on the tip of the second toe.
04:06I carefully file it down. But I never file it all the way down to pink skin.
04:10Because that won't give any results. It will keep growing anyway.
04:14And the more we expose the skin, the more it will grow.
04:17And here I use a very fine drill bit.
04:19It looks like a needle, but actually it's just a narrow and very sharp flame-shaped bit.
04:24I only use this kind of drill bit when I need to work on super hard to reach areas,
04:29which is exactly what I did here.
04:31And next, the S04J scissors.
04:35Everything is done the classic way, not the pony purse way.
04:38And by the way, look at how I make the cut.
04:40It's not all the way through, and that's absolutely intentional.
04:44The cut isn't deep at all, because I don't want to cut everything down to the flesh on the feet.
04:48I'd rather take a buffer and very gently and carefully
04:51work on the dry areas of the cuticle.
04:54The white ones, you can easily buff them away.
04:57The main thing is not to go overboard.
05:00Because while everyone else is trying to clean out the cuticle all the way to the knee,
05:05I try to do the most gentle and safe pedicure and manicure possible.
05:09Because our skin is very smart and it grows for a reason, not just randomly.
05:14And this needs to be taken into account,
05:16especially in the constant race for super perfect macro photos.
05:19I understand that right now all the people selling macro shots
05:23and ultra clean pedicures will faint.
05:26But I can definitely tell you that, well, it's anatomically unacceptable.
05:30Actually, you don't need to do it like that.
05:32So always cut yourself some slack.
05:34And remember that client manicures and client pedicures are a slightly different story.
05:39And it's very different from what they're selling you on phones,
05:42screens, you know, from your Instagram and other places.
05:46You need to keep that in mind.
05:48Meanwhile, we are getting the dirt out from under the nails.
05:51And yes, it's there.
05:52And it should be there, that's absolutely normal.
05:54It's the season for open shoes.
05:56And of course, she couldn't clean it herself,
05:58because you can't see anything under jaw polish.
06:01The most attentive ones have already noticed that she has a little crack.
06:05So we're going to put a coating on it.
06:07She hurt that little toe.
06:09As for the softness of the nail plate, I think it's pretty obvious.
06:12So we'll use a base.
06:14I'm using liquid from BSG.
06:17It goes on in a pretty thin layer.
06:20And even so, it will still stay very flexible.
06:23I need to strengthen the nails, but not make them hard,
06:26because we're going to use a film.
06:28It's impossible to apply films on super soft nails.
06:30Well, I mean, it's possible, of course, but it will be super, super difficult.
06:35I don't see any need for that, so I strengthen the nails using an elastic base.
06:41Now we'll file them to get a more or less even edge,
06:44and then we can move on to the films.
06:46The base is cured and the sticky layer is removed.
06:49That's important, of course.
06:52No films will stick to the sticky layer.
06:55We take the little ruler that usually comes in the set,
06:58trim off the excess, and this way we get the width of the nail plate.
07:03So we've taken the measurements, and now from the samples we have,
07:07we need to choose the one that is the right size.
07:10Don't forget to remove this little film on the sides, it will get in the way.
07:13If it stays, we won't be able to choose the right size like this,
07:17because there's an edge there.
07:18So take off the film, throw it away, we don't need it.
07:21Next, take a clean, dry orange stick.
07:24This is important.
07:26Gently lift and attach the film to it, like this.
07:29Roll it, giving it a slight curve to match the shape of the nail and then place it.
07:34Today I'm placing it on one side of the nail fold and on the other side I plan to trim
07:38it.
07:41Sometimes you can place it in the middle and trim both sides,
07:44for example if the design on the film requires it.
07:47Of course, here we lose the yellow edge,
07:49but we thought it's not critical, since we care more about the green leaves.
07:54Next, I placed the film on one side, smoothed it out,
07:58and now I'm trimming it from the other side in such a way that I get a sidewall.
08:03And now, here's a trick.
08:05Because the curved tip of the scissors completely follows the side groove,
08:08and it's extremely convenient.
08:10I'm spreading the film with the beveled end of an orange wood stick.
08:14It's important, make sure the orange stick doesn't get stained with the color of the film itself.
08:18This is one of the most important indicators.
08:21If it gets stained, that means the film will rub off in your shoes,
08:25and that's not a very good film.
08:27After that, we've rubbed the film over the free edge, we need it to be clearly visible.
08:32And right now you can see it well.
08:35Well, here comes the experiment section.
08:37Because I decided to take the bit I use for cuticle work,
08:40but I took the one with the red band, it's a bit softer.
08:43And now I'm using this bit as if it were a nail file.
08:46Honestly, I'm tired of filing toenails with regular files.
08:51It's really uncomfortable for me to do.

11:04I chose a regular, classic, glossy, no-wipe topcoat.
11:08I apply it everywhere and cure it.
