00:00In this video, I will show you how to make Google the default search engine in Chrome.
00:05So I'll be showing you how to make Google your default search engine in Google Chrome,
00:09so your searches automatically use Google instead of another search provider.

00:22To do this, as you can see, we're currently on Google Chrome.
00:25So what you want to do is open up a new Google Chrome browser.
00:28And once you've done that, if you come up to the top right-hand corner of Google Chrome,
00:32click onto the three dots.
00:33And from this menu that comes up, you want to come down and click onto settings.
00:38Now, once you're in your settings, come over to the menu on the left-hand side
00:41and click onto search engine.
00:43And this way you can come to change your default search engine for Google Chrome.
00:47So you can see mine's already set to Google, but yours might be set to something like Yahoo
00:51or DuckDuckGo.
00:53All you need to do is click onto the change button here and select Google from the window
00:57that comes up.
00:58Once you've done that, click the blue set as default button.
01:02As you can see, it says in the bottom left, Google is now your default search engine.
01:06And whenever you now search for something using the toolbar, you can see we've got the
01:09Google icon here, which means we're automatically going to use Google as our default search engine.
01:14So that is how to make Google your default search engine in Chrome.
01:18Make sure to like, comment, and subscribe for more Google Chrome and simple tech tutorials.
