00:00On the day Charlene's family was preparing to say goodbye to their 12 year old dog,
00:05they suddenly heard something above them. It was a mama cat curled up on the roof with her kittens.
00:13That morning had already been super emotional of course, so finding this tiny cat family right
00:21outside their home felt almost like impossible to explain. At first the family brought food
00:29and water up on the roof but then one of the kittens stumbled near this drainage opening
00:35and that's when they realized okay no we need to get them down.
00:41Thankfully the mama cat was really friendly and one by one they started bringing the kittens down.
00:49They even made a little enclosure on their patio where the kittens could just chill and rest.
00:57The next morning they unfortunately had to say goodbye to their dog.
01:04Afterwards they found themselves sitting down with this little cat family.
01:11Charlene said that the kittens and their mom had been sent to them to help them heal.
01:18It's okay mama, I know you want some attention too.
01:21Eventually the kittens were safe and some went on to find loving homes and others actually became
01:28a part of Charlene's family.
01:32Of course it did not take the pain away completely from losing their dog but
01:39I think they were a gift to help them get through a really tough goodbye.
