00:05Sarah was supposed to be my 25th foster cat, but she was missing for four weeks.
00:11A shelter van got into an accident on the highway, and due to a strange safety mechanism,
00:16all the doors opened, causing five animals along with Sarah to escape into the nearby woods.
00:21Thankfully, most of the animals were found, and Sarah had been missing for four weeks until this very moment.
00:27When I heard that she had been spotted on a camera, it was really a miracle.
00:32Currently, rescuers are still searching for one other cat.
00:35But for Sarah's case, once they were able to confirm that it was actually Sarah,
00:39she was now ready to begin her foster journey.

00:43I run outside and race to the car, and there she is.
00:47Welcome home!
00:49I put her in my bathroom, and I just let her know that you are finally safe.
00:54Almost immediately, Sarah hit underneath the bathroom sink,
00:57which definitely makes sense because this poor kitty had been through so much,
01:01and she was only six months old.
01:02And while Sarah was decompressing, her own cat, Dunder, was eager to meet Sarah.
01:07I take introductions really slowly.
01:09Dunder has this sixth sense for helping cats come out of their shell.
01:14He was literally waiting outside her door for days.
01:18I let them kind of sniff each other.
01:22You did good!
01:24And really, before I knew it, she just was in my lap.
01:27She was in my arms.
01:28She's snuggling with me.
01:30She's purring.
01:31It just was mind-blowing to me.
01:34Dunder has this amazing ability to help foster cats come out of their shell and feel safe.
01:38And because of Dunder's help, Sarah was starting to transform right in front of their eyes.
01:42It was amazing to see how full of love she was after everything she'd been through.
01:49She was fully ready to just embrace this new life that was in front of her.
01:53And not long after that, Sarah finally found her forever family.
01:57This new couple comes in, and they are just jumping out of their skin to meet her.

02:08I miss her every day, but I still keep in touch with her family, and she is thriving.
02:13She really does understand, like, this is home now.
