00:10Just knowing, John, how much work that he's put in to the system, like to see that execution take place.

00:20And then I would say probably the second thing is like the amount of time him and Terry have had
00:25together.
00:25I read, I think it was like less than 15% of the snaps they were on the field together
00:29in 2025.
00:31That sounded crazy.
00:33But the amount of work that those two guys have had to see that, and I think just to see
00:37his, the way he's able to express himself in the offense.
00:41So I can't wait to see that.
00:43I can't wait to see that either on Sunday.

00:48Wide receiver, one.
00:50A legitimate, we think, wide receiver, two.
00:53I think perhaps an upgrade overall in tight end, number one.

01:06But Krosky Merritt had a very good offseason and summer, and certainly could be the guy that gets some of

01:18Yeah, offensively, two years ago, this team at times, I mean, it's only two seasons ago, at times, like most
01:29of the time, was unstoppable.
01:32Last year, that team offensively that played in 2024 didn't really play together.
01:42It shouldn't be a surprise to you, Coach Quinn.
01:46John Kime actually asked the question and actually had the exact numbers on how much Terry and Jaden played together.
01:54It was less than 15%.
01:56It was exactly 13.9% of the snaps over the course of the season.
02:02They played on 138 snaps out of 990 total snaps.
02:09In 2024, they played on 817 snaps out of 1,011.
02:17You can kind of do that math.
02:19It's over 80%.
02:21In fact, it's 80.8% of the time they played together on offense versus 13.9% of the
02:30time last year.
02:32So your two, two of your three best offensive players and your best quarterback to wide receiver connection barely played
02:45football together last year.
02:47That is a big reason why the team did not play well last year.
02:51Like the number one reason if we're being truly objective and fair.
02:58That hopefully will change this year.
03:00Fingers crossed.
03:01There's no guarantee because you were the most injured team in 2025 that you'll remain healthy and be much better
03:09off in 2026.
03:11Injuries don't have memory from year to year.
03:14But if he plays all 17 and if Terry's out there for all 17 and they remain relatively healthy with
03:23their best players,
03:23I don't know how they would suck, which is what many people think they'll end up being in 2026.
03:32The team we saw in 2024 couldn't be stopped offensively.
03:38And you have theoretically upgraded at receiver, not to mention there is some hope and reason to hope that you're
03:50not going to be nearly as bad on defense, which will help as well.
03:55All right, the coordinators talk on Thursday, and that meant the first regular season presser for Durante Jones and for
04:06David Blau.
04:07Let's start with Durante Jones.
04:09He was asked about trying to slow down and stop Saquon Barkley on Sunday.
04:15And I know you weren't here, but ever since Saquon Barkley joined the Eagles, he's rushed for at least 115
04:20yards and a touchdown in every game against the Commanders.
04:24How do you stop a guy like that?
04:25Saquon is special.
04:27You know, I don't think, you know, it's not a one-man job.
04:32It's a team effort.
04:34And even with that, I mean, his explosiveness, his playmaking ability, he's very dynamic, and they've done a great job
04:45of using him in that way and finding different spaces to get him touches.
04:48And so you take your hat off to the organization, how they utilize their personnel over there.
04:54Yeah, probably key number one on Sunday, and I'll give you my keys to a win over Philadelphia, stop the
05:04run, stop Saquon Barkley.
05:06You've got to be in that position, or you get the Eagles into, you know, third and two and second
05:17and four, and that's not a position where you can, you know, highlight and show off your new pass.
05:24This was Durante Jones being asked about the tush push, which, by the way, with a new offensive coordinator, we
05:31don't know if we don't even know if we'll see it.
05:32I would assume we would, given its effectiveness, even though it took a bit of a step back last year.
05:38But this was Durante Jones on stopping Philadelphia's tush push.
05:43Warren, Coach, the Eagles are kind of known for those sneak packages.
05:47We've seen teams have different strategies, including, like, Frankie jumping over the line.
05:52Without getting into specifics, how do you start to build out how you're going to try to prevent that as
05:56a coordinator?
05:57Probably the easiest way is to keep them out of that situation.
06:01I mean, it's like a 75% rate, success rate.
06:04I mean, it's tough.
06:05You know, the rugby dealers have come into our sport, which has been huge in terms of the tackling.
06:10But you can see how, as some would say, the scrum has kind of come into play a little bit.
06:17So, yeah, keep them away from third and two, fourth and one, et cetera.
06:24And you don't have to face it.
06:26Although, you know, it hasn't been, as we know, a play that's been legislated or has been officiated very well.
06:33Last night, we did see an offensive offsides.
06:37We saw the right tackle clearly offsides pre-snap for Seattle on a tush push, and they called it.
06:45So, that has to be called more than it has been in the past.
06:50This was David Blau, the new offensive coordinator, on his confidence in the offense.
06:56We've heard a lot from the staff and the players that we really haven't seen everything that this new offense
07:01and defense is going to show, obviously, in the regular season.
07:04But if we're not seeing it out there and, you know, you're not repping it as much because we're not
07:09seeing it, what gives you confidence that it's ready for week one?
07:14What gives me confidence is that this game always comes down to fundamentals.
07:20And the team that blocks better, the team that tackles better, the team that throws and catches better, the team
07:27that takes care of the football better, you know, will win the game.
07:31And we've been drilling it.
07:32We've been teaching.
07:34So, I'm excited for people to see what our unit's about and our play style on full display.
07:40But, you know, we know as a group what it comes down to.
07:45You can't throw three interceptions like Drake May did in the fourth quarter of a game and expect to win.
07:51Minus three doesn't usually get it done in the NFL.
07:55Washington's turnover margin last year, second worst in the NFL at minus 13.
08:01Their number of takeaways last year, we've talked about this a lot, 10 total, next to last.
08:08And just, you know, for the purposes of comparing, you know, they were too fewer than the next team in
08:16line, which was the Cowboys, believe it or not.
08:18You've got to end up this year taking the ball away and being much better in the turnover margin.
08:26Minus 13 equals losing record, period.
08:30And usually a big-time losing record.
08:35See the Jets and Washington for the bottom two turnover margins from last year.
