00:05I'm always naive to facts of things.
00:09So I think that helps me and my mindset just grow.
00:13How many times have you been a captain in your career in the pros?
00:16This might be my fifth year being a captain, yeah.
00:19You're captain at Clemson?
00:21Yes.
00:22High school?
00:23Yeah.
00:24What are the biggest responses to these Dex,
00:27in your mind when you assume that leadership?
00:31I think it's just natural.
00:33You just be yourself and, you know, you learn from things in the past.
00:39You know, you learn how to help the team win.
00:43You learn how to communicate with people, with the coaches.
00:48So I think it just comes with experience and just honesty.
00:53So how much of it is problem solving?
00:55How much of it is being a, you know, psychologist for your teammate when they get away?
01:00I think it all kind of comes together.
01:05I mean, if you're genuine to the guys that you're talking to, I think that kind of happens.
01:11And, you know, I try to be genuine to everybody in this locker room.
01:15Because I care about them and I care about this team and, you know, I want to win.
01:20I know we need everybody to do that, so it just happens naturally.
01:24Who's the best leader you have been around, Dex?
01:26Is there anybody you model yourself and leadership on?
01:28I've been around a lot of good leaders.
01:31I think everybody's different in their ways.
01:34So you can't, it's hard to pinpoint.
01:36Like, the greatest basketball player of all time.
01:38You know, it's all opinion-based.
01:40But I think you take...
01:41And Phil Russell?
01:43Yeah.
01:44I think you just take things from each one of those guys and implement it to yourself and keep growing.
01:50Is there anybody in particular for you?
01:54I mean, I've always been kind of the older guy-ish on the team, you know, especially in New York.
02:02But guys like Brian Burns is a great leader.
02:06Saquon is a great leader.
02:11Daniel is a great leader.
02:13A lot of guys, you know, you just pick and choose Russell, Jameis, all those guys.
02:18They're great leaders.
02:20You just pick and choose things that they do good and you know, you try to implement it.
