00:00What's it like to be here and kind of have this process done?
00:02I'm good. Everybody's welcoming.
00:05You know, it was an abrupt change from, you know,
00:08thinking I'm going to have a long offseason to being here today.
00:12I'm blessed, man, and I'm ready to get rolling.
00:15Today, you know, you got to do a little lifting and running today,
00:18so I feel good. I'm ready to go.
00:20When did you get the sense that you might actually kind of get what you were looking for?
00:26Saturday.
00:26Saturday. Yeah, like I said, it was abrupt.
00:31You know, didn't know much, you know, just going through the process
00:34and talking to my agent, you know, just had to, you know, pray.
00:39I prayed a lot, man, and, you know, because I was out of control of a lot of things,
00:43you know, it was like somebody was hanging me like this with a string,
00:47but, you know, I'm blessed to be here. I'm happy.
00:49I assume you think it's a good fit. You just said you're happy.
00:52That's fair to say. What makes it such a good fit?
00:56You know, playing next to Jonathan Allen and B.J. Hill and Slate, you know,
01:03that's going to be fun, and then, you know, you got those guys on the other side of the ball
01:06who, you know, make plays all the time, and it's just a different feel,
01:12and I respect Coach Zach a lot and, you know, what he's been accomplishing here,
01:16and I'm just happy to be here.
01:19What does it mean to you to be part of a piece that this organization feels can get them over
01:24the hump defensively
01:25and get back to a Super Bowl? What does that mean personally?
01:28Honestly, it's pressure, you know, but, you know, I embrace pressure.
01:33You know, I've been having pressure all my life since high school.
01:36You know, this is, you know, I've always been the guy to, you know, just that guy in the middle
01:42who wrecks the game.
01:43You know, I want to continue that. I'm going to continue that, and, you know, for them to, you know,
01:48have that trust in me to give up the 10th pick like that, you know, it means a lot, and
01:52I carry that well, and I carry that.
01:54Especially the Giants were going, obviously, through a rebuilding process with drafting Jackson Dart.
01:58What does it mean to go from that to a team that does have some playoff pieces?
02:02Yeah, I love Jackson, man. He's going to be special.
02:06He's a good dude, but I'm happy to play with Joe Barrow.
02:11I'm happy to be able to share the field with him and Jamar and Tee and all those guys over
02:15there.
02:15So it's going to be fun.
02:17It's going to be a little different, different threads, but, you know, I think they look good on me.
02:21Have you heard from Joe?
02:22Not yet.
02:24You could have, you know, stuck around in New York and kept going.
02:26It was a fresh start for you.
02:28What was the most appealing part of a fresh start to you at this point in your career?
02:33You know, I kept praying, like I said, and, you know, the saying kept coming to me, you know,
02:38you got to be uncomfortable to get comfortable.
02:40And, you know, like when this opportunity came, I jumped at it because I knew I was going to be
02:46uncomfortable.
02:46I got to learn a lot of new names, you know, move to a new city and, you know, bring
02:50my family and my dogs and find that place.
02:54So I knew it was going to be a little uncomfortable.
02:55That's the process, though, and I think I handle, I adjust well, and I handle those things well.
03:00So I was just excited to be here, especially with my dog, BJ.
03:04To play with him, you know, get another opportunity to play with him and, you know, take this thing to
03:09another level.
